We thought this would be a nice weekend vacation. Two nights cost around $675. They were suppose to serve breakfast between 9-9:30 and it never got you'd until close to 10. The trash in our room was very taken out upon our arrival so our bungalow smelled like somebody else's trash. We couldn't check in on time because they were short staffed even tho they told us we could the day before. One of our screens was falling off. We have extra pillows in closet but no extra pillows. I swear our place was never actually cleaned between the people before us and us. Serenity you looked so cute and wrap wanted to book our wedding there but you were just too dirty. Hot tub had so many chemicals it took off my spray tan in less than 5 minutes. You couldn't sit in tub because you couldn't breathe with all the chemicals.

Beautiful place to have a relaxed weekend close to nature and farm animals. They received us with a bottle of wine, cake and a warm, cozy loft. This is our second visit and we will definitely be back.

    Cute cozy little cottage!

Beautiful, serene cottages. We loved our stay and we will definitely be back! The breakfast they brought Saturday was lovely and everything was just wonderful!

We scrolled thru Facebook and Instagram pictures the days leading up to our stay, when we arrived, we immediately agreed that pictures did not do the Serenity Farmhouse Inn justice at all! The staff is friendly and very helpful. The layout of the grounds is perfect - everything is nearby but still far enough away so it's quiet outside. We stayed in the Farmers Market, and it was absolutely adorable, cozy and comfortable. Each morning a delicious breakfast was delivered to our door, and when we were done all we had to do was put the tray outside and the staff discreetly came out to pick it up. The sunset views were spectacular, and watching the deer walk around during the evenings was the perfect way to end our day. We cannot wait to visit again!

We had a wonderful stay at Serenity Farm House Inn! They were so kind and welcoming to us. We stayed in the bungalow named, "Merci Mimi". It is an "upgraded" one with a hot tub! The property is located off of the busy highways, so it is always peaceful and relaxing out there! When we arrived we were able to park near the cluster of bungalows and were welcomed with some fresh sangria wine! The hot tub was already up and running for us and they had a few coupons for certain shops/restaurants around the town for us! As we explored around the grounds, we found they have a pen of a few rescue animals like donkeys, goats, and pigs which was a unique touch. The pool was also located near the houses and was small but had a beautiful view (as seen in pictures). The houses were very nice and well kept. They had plenty of towels, kitchen supplies (everything you would need to cook), the kitchen appliances were in great shape and worked great! One thing we had some issues with is the ac unit, there was one in the bedroom, which I liked, and one in the living/kitchen area. They were just kind of complicated to use, we sat up late one night, with the handy manual they had laminated for us, trying to get it to keep the fan on while we slept. What I would suggest is having a ceiling fan in the bedroom or at least an easy setting on the ac to turn the fan on. We also were constantly adjusting the ac, it seemed like it would get really hot and then really cold. We also tested out the hot tub, it was really nice, but we couldn't go out there at night because there was hardly any lights out there. I also wish the hot tubs were a little more private, the house's windows next to us looked right down into our hot tub and people using the walk way by our bungalow could see straight into where the hot tub was. I noticed most of the other houses with hot tubs were more "private" than ours so it may just be the way the houses are laid out. They also brought us delicious breakfast every morning complimentary! It was so good and fresh! So much better than any complimentary breakfast at regular hotels! Overall it was a great stay and we will definitely want to come back in the future!

No light for 75 yards on bumpy path to cabin

We stayed in the White Buffalo Bungelow with hot tub. 6/28-6-30/19. Communication was difficult. They had to send 3 different sets of pictures to get them correct. We arrived at 10pm and there was no light on the 75 yard flagstone walk to our cabin. The place was nice but the exterior deck with hot tub had over grown weeds all near the outdoor seating and bugs were crawling everywhere. The next day Saturday, I asked if they could cut the weeds back, they said no. Can you imagine?!? We paid $67.00 for a $20 brunch voucher on Sunday which was a joke. Place needs updating and needs to be more accommodated to people arriving at night. Refused to negotiate a partial refund. So bad service gets bad reviews. No excuse. Poor management and ownership. They said my expectations were too high????!!! Make sure everything is right because it won't get fixed the next day. Avoid this place

We will definitely be heading back to Serenity Farmhouse Inn. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. We remarked every day on how quiet the place is although there were many other guests staying there at the same time. The drive to the inn is remote but it will be worth your while. Each morning we were greeted with eggs, bacon or sausage and bakery (I requested gluten free and was accommodated easily). We had champagne and chocolates in our room upon arrival. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to spend a week just to relax and get out of town.

This was such a great experience. Breakfast was amazing. Room was adorable. And location was breathtaking. Staff was very friendly. Town was adorable. Great place to get away. We did the wine tour they offer which was so much fun and the wineries were beautiful

The room was cozy and thoughtfully set up with a mini fridge (perfect for storing leftovers), a coffee and tea station, and an incredibly comfortable bed that made it hard to leave in the mornings. The bar and brunch alone are worth the visit. Everything we tried was amazing, but the stuffed French toast completely stole the show, hands down the best French toast I've ever had. We also ordered the tostadas, biscuits and gravy, and avocado toast, and every dish was full of flavor and beautifully done. The mimosas were just as impressive; I tried the guava mimosa for the first time and it was so refreshing and delicious. To top it all off, the atmosphere is absolutely perfect. Sometimes they have live music, and you can also head out back to relax by the fire, which really adds to the overall experience. It's peaceful, charming, and feels like the perfect escape. ***PARENTS OF THE BRIDE REVIEW***…read more You have seen our daughter's review, so we thought it was only fair that we provide information from our vantage point as well. My wife and I have been staying at the Square Inn for many years now and have always been impressed with the wonderful hospitality provided by Marci, Lloyd and their team. From the wonderful rooms to the fresh cooked breakfast's every morning it is more like visiting family than staying in a bed and breakfast. When they started construction on their Legacy Lounge our only daughter was already engaged and looking for a venue. We immediately recommended that she consider having her wedding here and once she had a chance to take a look she was sold as well. From the very beginning Marci was there to help with suggestions for the wedding and referrals to local businesses that could help us put together the wedding my daughter wanted. Given that our daughter informed us in November she wanted to be married in late April or early May I do not think we could have put this together without her. In the end we booked not only the Legacy Lounge but all 8 rooms of the Square Inn as well. I highly recommend this arrangement as there were enough rooms for the wedding party and increased the footprint of the event allowing for a truly unique experience. We would find out as time went on that the value received on our money was greater than what we believe we would have received at any of the other venues we looked at. Marci, Lloyd and their team were again on point on the day of the wedding providing the services of wedding coordinator, bar staff and entertainment coordinator. There was never a long line at the bar. When some guests wanted to watch the hockey playoffs Marci made that happen on an outside TV. Fire Pit? Here came Lloyd to make the fire come to life. It was almost as if it were if it was one of their own children was getting married that day. At the end of the evening when it was time to go, we moved the happy couple to the front of the Square Inn where they were able to say goodbye to all their guests and finally relax for the evening. As we had booked all the rooms, only the wedding party remained after the ceremony and reception and the bride and groom were able to spend a quiet night in the courtyard with their closest friends relaxing after what had been a couple of very busy and stressful days. This was the most unique wedding we have ever attended and we cannot think of anything that could have made it better. If you are looking for a somewhere to hold a special event, do yourselves a favor and give the Legacy Lounge / Square inn a look. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

This year's water level is historically low (since the 1960s), so direct swimming access to the water is nearly impossible. Boat ramp closed. However, the view is still spectacular. We also appreciate the grill spots -- we saw previous complaints about the grills -- honestly, we don't quite understand why they are being so picky with the public grill spots lol... I can tell they have tried their best to manage/clean. A/C works well, especially at night! Not much noise created. All the fire pits were upgraded and well-maintained. Some things to be careful with: 1/ Some weeds in the grass can be sticky and painful to pick off. Be careful walking in grass near the cabins (wear water shoes). 2/ Some dogs may be reactive to people/other dogs (barking). But everyone was very respectful. 3/ Didn't try the swimming pool; it looks a little muddy. 4/ Coffee station not working well. We noticed from others' reviews and brought our own coffee boiling pot with pour makers. They also didn't provide milk/coffee mate. 5/ Pillows are not quite comfortable.

And just like last time, it was a great stay. I'm not sure if I noticed their amenities last time or if they added on facilities in the last decade, but a few things to know: o There is a giant, we're talking massive swimming pool that's 3"5 deep all the way around. As a shawty, I appreciate that. There's plenty of seating, pergolas for much-needed shade. No restrooms at the pool. o Volleyball court o A main lodge area/event space, perfect for family reunions and such. o There's a "motel" also onsite. o It's dog-friendly, with a max of two dogs per cabin and a $25 deposit per pet per night. o Amazing sunsets, direct lake access for swimming or boating, grilling areas, and "The Point" which is a great spot for a nightcap and handing with friends/family. As for the cabins, once again our group reserved five of their six cabins that each come equipped with two decks overlooking Canyon Lake, a hot tub, multiple bedrooms, living spaces, fireplaces, full kitchens.... Note that some cabins may have a studio-style room with no wall. Our AC was kickin' and there was plenty of hot and cold water. Only gripe is the living room seating in our cabin, Cabin F. The chairs stunk like BO. My guess is that guest sit on them with wet river clothes... hope they steam them.
