I've been going to Louise since 2022 or 2023, and the last time I saw her was in 2024. Every time I do something dumb and twist my back with a sudden movement, she's the person I trust to get me back on my feet. Honestly, I'd be lying if I said anyone else has been able to help me the way she has. I'm surprised to see some of the one-star reviews because my experience has been the complete opposite. Louise is professional, kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about her clients. She takes the time to understand what's going on and always makes me feel comfortable during treatment. She is very passionate. The only reason I'm sad right now is that I hurt my back again yesterday and went online to book an appointment, but it looks like they've added more therapists and I don't see her name on the list anymore. I sent her a text and hope she still has the same number. Since it's Sunday, I'm sure she's probably just off work, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I felt mistreated as a minority customer, and my appointments were canceled and changed in a way that felt unfair and discriminatory. The communication was rude, unprofessional, and lacking compassion. A wellness business should make every client feel safe, respected, and cared for, but that was not my experience here. Yazmin was incredible! From the minute I walked in, I was greeted by her with my name. She made sure she understood what I wanted from our visit. She was very kind. Her massage was absolutely one of the best I have had hands down. From the perfect pressure (she did ask as few times if the pressure was ok, which was great) to the precise points on my back and neck where she found a few knots and made sure she focused on those points as well as the rest of my back and neck. She instantly knew within 2 minutes where my stress on my back was coming from. I was so surprised that she was spot on! She did an amazing face gua sha massage using jade tools that was awesome. Today was my first time visiting Serenity Massage, and it was a wonderful experience. Louise was my massage therapist. I selected the Ultimate Serenity Lymphatic Draining massage. It was my first time having this time of massage, but I loved it. It was gentle and incredibly relaxing. I was left with a feeling of utter and complete peace (mind and body) by the end. I shared with Louise that I haven't seen a massage therapist in months because I always left the appointment feeling sore and tight again within minutes. Definitely not the case with my massage I had today. I will be a monthly repeat customer. I am beyond thrilled to have come across Louise and Serenity Massage on Yelp. I wanted to enjoy & like this facility! An appointment was booked, paid & confirmed. Showed up 15 prior to schedule as requested. Door locked, lights off, nobody seems to be around. Called number listed, went straight to voice mail, actually when I tried a few more times stated number was disconnected! Waited a bit longer hoping they were just running late w/ prior appointment. Nothing!! Several hours later rec'd a text...text, no phone call apologizing! Then to add insult, I had to provide my confirmation as proof I had it scheduled. A half ass apology was given with promised of refund...which I haven't seen yet! You'd think if someone made this much of a mistake that reflects their business a sincere apology would have been extended, after all we're all human & mistakes do happen! Nothing! The website said they offered postnatal massage but when I got on the table the massage therapist one thought I was pregnant and was prepared to give me a prenatal massage. I told her I wasn't pregnant and came for a postnatal massage, she said she didn't know what a postnatal massage was, which I'm very glad she was honest about. She called the owner and put her on the phone with me. The owner said there is no difference between a therapeutic massage and postnatal massage but that they would be careful if I a had a c section or give me a pillow for my breast. I know that's not true because I spent most of the day researching and I saw other sites that offered it and the descriptions are very different than a regular therapeutic massage. I spent $200 just for a therapeutic massage. That's so awful. I had one day away from my baby and I was looking for something to help me postpartum. I cried after the service because I felt mislead and the massage unfortunately was not that great. I did however tip the therapist because it's not her fault that they offer services that she had no training in. The owner did say if I wanted I could come back and she could give me the massage but unfortunately I only had one day to treat myself and to be fair I didn't trust that this spa could give me exactly what they said they could do and what I needed. If I knew I was just getting a therapeutic massage I would have went some where else and not spend $200! I studied and lived in Thailand and am certified in Thai Massage body works. My husband and I have both been going to Serenity, and have seen both the therapists. We have both had better experiences here than at any other place we've been- and I've been to more than a few. I've personally only seen Louise- and I've been more than happy. I've never done the "massage a month" program, because I've never found any one that is worth it, until now- in fact, I'm on my way over there in about 10 minutes:) yay! I love that the studio is mellow- it's not set up to do 20 massages at a time- it's very quiet, and parking is ample. And Louise just knows what she's doing- so if she's booked, or on vacation, she is always worth the wait, and it seems once you get on the schedule, your in:) The reason I started with Louise was due to the fact that I had just had to do 2 years worth of cancer treatments, and my body is dealing with the repercussions. I hurt a lot, everyday, mostly from nerve damage, and Louise is sympathetic to my plight, and knows how to help- she has great skill, but also lots of good advice. She always asks a lot of questions, and makes sure we are on the same page. Ok- I def recommend- I've never had a better massage. Wow. Normally I'm used to very deep Thai massages, but they don't diagnose you and sometimes they miss some areas. Louise knows her muscles and how they connect to each other. Even just 60min got me feeling really calm, floaty and like play dough (which is supposed to be how you normally feel...) Amazing how good I feel and it didn't require any "bone deep" massages. I did not receive the massage from Louise. She might be worth it. I booked online with Louise then they rescheduled me because she was out of town. I have been suffering from daily headaches and I agreed to have someone else as I just wanted some relief. By far the most mediocre massage I've ever gotten. This is a place that truly cares about you! I am so grateful for Johnny. Johnny was my massage therapist for the deep tissue massage I came in for and I couldn't believe his ability to find the root of my issues while tending to them. He was always careful to be sure I was comfortable during the entirety of the massage, and asked specific questions about where the pain was so he could apply the best techniques. Bodywork and Wellness are a priority here, and so is the care you receive from the moment you walk in the doors. After only a 60 minute massage, I left feeling like a butterfly, floating away pain free. You can expect an honest assessment of your body's health. Louise is a great listener of your thoughts and can visually assess your posture also. As she massages your muscles she knows how deep to go without causing any after discomfort. I have had many sessions and benefitted greatly . First off, let me just say if I could give more than 5 stars I would. I woke up today with a really bad kink in my neck and looked up on Groupon something nearby. I luckily came across this place and had Louise do wonders. I have never had a massage like that before. Most don't apply enough pressure and tend to get lazy halfway through but not Louise. I also should mention 60 minutes actually means 60 minutes. 45 dollars for a one hour custom full body massage that actually has you leaving satisfied is unbeatable. Better late than never! I book a massage with Louise in November and I LOVED it! Louise is an expert! The times online didn't work for me; after I contacted her, she was able to work with me and got me in the next day. Mind you, I contacted her in the evening hours and had never a customer to her business before. She made me feel totally relaxed! I didn't want to post this, but I feel responsible for warning other people. This was the WORST!!! massage my husband and I have ever received. Louise came to my house to give my husband and I massages yesterday. - She and her employee/contractor (didn't seem like she knew him well at all) Jarod showed up WITHOUT masks. Just 0 disregard for the world we currently live in. - Louise's massage table was broken and she was working on my husband. So, he grabbed a blanket and put it under his ankles since they were hurting due to her broken table. And guess what? She STOLE our blanket! She literally packed it up with her stuff and left. I didn't notice until this morning (we got the massages last night). - That's not even the worst of it. We wanted deep tissue massages. I got a shitty Swedish massage from a guy who had ZERO clue what he was doing. He kept doing weird stuff to my neck and upper back, and dumped literally half a bottle of lotion/oil on my body. I was dripping by the end and our wood floors got oily and gross. - I was really looking forward to a relaxing 90 minute massage, but instead I got a light touching of the body for 90 mins. Unbelievable. $475 in total. - I told her I was super upset at the end and she discounted $175. Still - how is she in business for ELEVEN years and this is still happening? Something is terribly wrong. - My husband was really unhappy with his massage as well. On top of the table being broken and therefore uncomfortable, she didn't do a deep tissue massage at all for him either. I have no idea how this lady has a bunch of 5 star reviews here, but I highly recommend you stay far away. There are other amazing massage therapists on Thumbtack that I've worked with. I understand we are currently in a "global pandemic," and that these unfortunate times have placed hardships on businesses in general, but I DO NOT believe that this should ever give businesses the okay or excuse to be unprofessional. With that being said, here is my honest experience with Serenity Massage OC Bodywork. I heard about Serenity Massage OC Bodywork through the Booksy App. If you've never heard of Booksy, it is a cloud-based online booking solution for salons, hair stylists, and spas. Before I booked on the Booksy app, I wanted to see if this business had a social media account, and luckily, it did have an Instagram account. The Instagram account confirmed that this business is currently booking appointments for massages and is taking appointments through the Booksy app. It also confirmed that massage services for this business has relocated to a Medical Office in Downtown Orange. I thought this is great, I was in desperate need for a body massage and was thankful that this business was open during this time, as many are not. I made an appointment on the Booksy App and chose a time based on availability offered from the business, adding a special note for some problem areas I was having on my body. Before I knew it, I had an appointment booked on the app this massage business is advocating to use. I show up to my appointment and call the number that is put on Yelp and the owner Louise, mentions how she is completely unaware of my appointment and is unfortunately not currently at the Medical Offices in Orange. She was instead at another massage appointment for a client at the same time. Louise apologizes and mentions how she needs to contact "Booksy" for clarification because she is not receiving notifications from this app. I was a bit disappointed because I was already at the location, but I thought, hey, this was a simple mistake any business could have made and that these are definitely hard times. A few hours later, Louise contacted me personally through the email I have on file on the Booksy App and mentioned how she is now seeing my appointment confirmation and would like to reschedule. She mentioned that she would also include an additional "15 minutes" of free massage for my inconvenience. I truly appreciated her approach to customer service and it seemed very genuine. After a few back and forth emails, I had successfully booked an appointment to come in on another date. Mind you, I WROTE OUT IN EMAIL, the date and time that I was available, and Louise CONFIRMED THROUGH EMAIL, the date, time, and location of the newly rescheduled appointment. She also guaranteed and reassured me that she can combat some of the massage needs I had requested through previous messaging. I was happy at this moment and excited to receive a great massage from her. Come the day of the newly rescheduled appointment, I knock on the door of the location and two women, who are massage therapists for Health Quest Wellness Center (they share the office with her) open the door for me and ask me who I am here to see. I mentioned I had a 12 PM appointment with Louise and they told me she was NOT THERE, but that I could wait in the lobby for her. I waited five minutes, then I decided to call her personally. When she answered her phone, she acted completely oblivious to the appointment and thought it was instead "tomorrow at 12." I said no, we exchanged emails several times and I specifically put a date and time which you confirmed. She put me on a brief hold and pulled up the email and after seeing the email, did confirm that it was indeed scheduled for today. She apologized and blamed it on the fact that this appointment was done "through email," and that she normally does it through phone, but come on. Not only did Louise mess up the first time through an online booking system which her business is ADVOCATING FOR on social media, but now she goes to tell me that she did this booking through email and that's probably why she forgot. I told her that her business was completely unprofessional and I WILL NOT be booking future appointments. I respected this business enough to show up TWO TIMES to support, and what did I receive? I was stood up twice, got an unprofessional excuse of forgetting the appointment, and a "sorry." Absolutely unacceptable. I have received many professional massages before and have dealt with wonderful businesses who genuinely care about their customers wellbeing and care about their customers time. I can't find one excuse to condone this type of disrespect for customers in any type of business. My advice? Schedule your appointment with caution. Even better advice? Don't even bother. read more

Louise is a gem. I had severe lower back pain and texted her to schedule a deep tissue massage. She responded immediately and worked around my availability. I appreciated that she customized my massage and focused on my problem areas, adding heat packs as needed. Although deep tissue massages are known to be painful, I felt very comfortable during my session and didn't experience the usual soreness afterward. Louise did an amazing job with me! Ive had various experiences from other OC massage locations that claim "deep tissue" which ended up being a light back rub to thai back walk massages. I appreciate her professionalism and for setting the expectations from the start. I had the sports therapy massage as I lift 5-6 days per week and played 5 years of volleyball. She right away asked great questions about my history and also did a quick, dynamic view of my body to pin point any alarming areas to focus on. My sister booked me a massage for my birthday and I received an hour massage from Louise. She is extremely sweet and detail oriented when it comes to targeting your concerns. I mentioned that I've been getting shoulder pain and lower back pain, so she made sure to pay extra attention to those areas while giving me advice on how to prevent straining or unnecessary tension. Usually massages are painful for me because people are too rough or it makes me tense up from too pressure, but Louise understood that I really didn't need her to be rough. This was the first massage where I didn't walk away feeling worse than I came in and I genuinely felt relaxed. I appreciate her attention to detail and realizing that every person that walks in has different needs! I had such a wonderful experience at Serenity Massage OC Bodywork & Wellness. The interior is serene and clean and smells great. You have plenty of time to change and get comfortable. Nothing is rushed. You note on the intake form what you are hoping for as a result of the massage, and how much pressure you would like. Your massage can be relaxing, stimulating, or more physically therapeutic. My massage therapy session was given by Louise, the owner. She is trained in many methods of massage and healing and will consult with you about what you're looking for during your massage experience. She truly listens and delivers. She does a lot of body work that is beneficial for people at all stages of health, whether you're just feeling tired, knotted up, or need some deep muscle rehab work. I had of knots in my shoulders and scapular area and she really worked them out, which is just what I wanted. Her technique is excellent. I left feeling so joyful.  I would love to have some regenerative bodywork treatment and also try some of the healing enhancements that are available. I've had chronic back issues for many years, and I've had different types of massages on and off, never regularly, but felt stretching and activity was always the answer. However recently, as much as I did persistently, I couldn't seem to totally get rid of my sciatica, thoracic, neck and shoulder tightness, and QL spasms. I became desperate and started searching through the multitude of choices for massage therapy. I found Louise and after two massages feel I found exactly what I needed! I will continue to see her. She has lots of experience from many areas of health. She made a thorough assessment of me and has been developing a holistic plan that is exactly in align with where I'm coming from and where I want to be. Her massages are based on what's best for the individual. She will give you exactly the type massage you need and do an outstanding job!
