Went with a friend for 2 gel pedicures and manicures and was charged $247. This was so much more than any other salon here in Portland. The treatments were ok, but not anything special. Felt taken advantage of, so please make sure you ask for the EXACT price of everything they do to you. With tip it came to close to $300. More than I paid even when visiting Manhattan. read more

Just got a deluxe pedicure with my mom. This is her go to nail salon. They always seem to do a good job on her but today I was so dissatisfied with my service. It was a new lady that did my toes. I showed her a reference photo multiple times. She left nail polish on my skin and the overall look is not good at all. I am not happy. I called and they agreed to redo the pedicure for free. I took my son's fiancé for us to both get our nails done for my other son's wedding. The person who helped me was someone I recognized from coming here for years, but as she was doing my manicure, someone came in who seemed like a regular but who was apologizing because she hadn't gotten an appointment. The woman helping me said she'd help her shortly and they switched me to someone I'd never seen before. This person did a horrible job on my gel manicure. I didn't have my glasses on so I didn't see how bad it was until later. I called and explained and they said the manager would call me back. No one called. They had a chance to make it right but they didn't. So yeah, not coming back. Went another place yesterday and got a beautiful gel manicure. read more

Try an alternative nail salon if you're looking for a gel manicure to last longer than a day. After the 1st day of getting my nails done, my thumb gel polish COMPLETELY started lifting. Yes, it was annoying but figured what the hay, no prob, I'm sure this sometimes happens. I decided to swing back by the salon to get it fixed TWO DAYS after my original manicure.... LOL at the audacity of broke b energy when they asked for my "nail filer" to fix my nail... Not only are you required to bring in your own nail filer but if you don't they charge you a petty $1 charge... EVEN WHEN ITS NOT YOUR FAULT YOUR GEL STARTED LIFTING(I had already purchased one at the day of service). I think the overall reviews state enough... wish I would've taken them into consideration before wasting my gas on top of $50 on a gel manicure just to get mediocre results and chipped nails in less than a week. Not trynna be a hater but do better and maybe invest in nail driller machine like all other salons instead of charging for what you should already be providing. read more

This is our preferred salon for manicures and pedicures. The phone attendant is so kind and accommodating. I almost always can get an appointment a couple of days ahead. I don't ever get manicured but last months I splurged and it was a regular manicure and it lasted a whole week without chipping! read more

Made 12pm pedicure reservations for my daughter and I. Got seated at 10 after and no one started the pedicure for 25 minutes. They did a nice job but had to pay for a nail kit "for my safety" but didn't include metal tools that are the usual problem and there is a discount for cash. Stressed from school and work, I thought I would treat myself today to a mani and pedi-you know self-care-Saturday. Called and got an appointment right away, the place is spacious, clean and everyone who worked there was wearing masks, and gloves so no health safety concerns. The worker that was assigned to me didn't speak much, which was okay. I'm fine with no chatting. The pedicure was average. She did the best she could. The mani was where i got annoyed, and here's what happened. She was talking to her coworkers, the whole time in a language that I didn't understand, which is still okay by me because English isn't my first language either, and you know, probably work related anyway. What wasn't okay was when two white women came in, saying they have an appointment at 12 and one of them was getting dip-- the person who was currently working on me, and the person that they were actively talking to *while* they were working on me, got excited-- to the point of where their chatter become higher and faster-- at this point, the worker wasn't even looking at me OR my hands anymore. I was then asked to change the desk I was originally on, apparently to make room for the "dip" customers when there are literally so many other desks, the seat I was on had to be for that new comer. The desk I was transferred to was nearest the door, so anytime it opens, you'll know what temperature is outside. Girl, I just wanted to treat myself a little bit, which only happens maybe twice a year, and today this persons actions had made me feel that much less of a person because I didn't get the dip powder? I honestly don't know. At the end, I asked them for how long I should keep my nails facing the desk fan, they promptly walked away from me, so I stayed sitting down hoping that they would come back to answer my question, but after a minute or so, I decided to just leave. The front desk lady saw my note, ( I wrote on the back of the receipt; please pay attention to your customer) and she apologized for her which I appreciate . That's why this review is still a 4 stars even though my feelings are hurt. If I want to come back here I guess I gotta start saving up my money to get the dip powder instead of just the poor-people-mani-pedi. read more

No, just no. I have never been the type to go somewhere else to get my nails fixed but this was horrendous and looked like something a toddler did. I got switched around between 3 girls and truly I felt like none of them knew what they were doing. They got the shape & length wrong, and should practice coloring inside lines. They do a good job but they are clearly over charging (inflation and a little scamming). I was charged $80 for mani /delux pedi no nail polish just natural nails. And when I looked at the prices it didn't add up. They didn't get a tip from me as I know they already took their tip. Very disappointed! read more

6 months later and Ann is still my go-to for my nails. I refuse to go anywhere else. Ann has completely learned my style and now when I go in for fills we both bounce ideas off each other for which new fun designs we can try. I mean do I have to give a star at all?? If I could give them a 0 star I would just like her tip. I was beyond disappointed. I made an appointment cause I had to be somewhere and was seen 20 minutes late. And when I showed the lady the picture of what I wanted she seemed to have no idea what she was looking at. I wanted square shape nails she gave me half square and half round. Some nails were shorter then others. When I asked her to hand me the file so I could fix the shape she just laughed and I'm pretty sure was talking bad about me to the other staff. Maybe if she knew what she was doing I wouldn't have to do her job for her. She then left my nails thick and polish all in my cuticles. My cuticles and nails looks worst than when I came in. Also she cut pretty much all my fingers. So disappointed and I even told her I was very unhappy with the service. Paid 55 for something I didn't ask for. read more

I honestly could have done a better job, and I don't do great at manicures. I have gone here for years and have gotten acceptable results but today I received an awful manicure. It is particularly disappointing because I am celebrating a birthday and going to a wedding this weekend. I looked for an email address online to let them know of my dissatisfaction but nothing was listed so here I am. The person who gave me a gel manicure today did a terrible job. She seemed to want to be somewhere else. The time my fingers soaked was too short to soften cuticles. She did not remove a lot of cuticle that needed to be removed. The time my polish was under the UV light was a much shorter duration than is normal (usually means the polish isn't as hardened as much as it should be). She did not coat the entire nail so nails look like they start too high up on my fingers and look like they are weirdly shaped since the polish isn't uniform, especially combined with the untrimmed cuticles. She also did not use enough coats of polish, so my actual fingernail is visible through the polish, and some edges are rough which usually means the polish will quickly chip. I have had a lot of manicures and this was one of the visually worst and laziest. Disappointing to spend money and yet get amateurish results. I also agree with another reviewer about their preference for cash. It gets tiresome to feel obligated to pay in cash. I never carry cash so go out of my way to have cash with me. Update 5/6-Gel polish is chipping. read more

One star for constantly being pestered for a cash payment at checkout!! As I handed the lady my credit card she inquired if I could pay by cash. I informed her that I will be using my credit card and she then asked if I had any cash. As she rung me up and handed me the receipt she then asked if I had any cash for her tip! This is incredibly tacky and annoying. If the business doesn't want to pay the credit card surcharge or accurately record their tip earnings they should have a "cash only" sign on their window. Pedicure was decent but pricey and the waxing is great but I will not be returning because of the cash pestering! It's extremely annoying especially since my friend was checking out with me as well and the lady pestered her for cash multiple times too. read more

First and foremost I like that this place is convenient. I can simply walk to get my nails done which is nice. The staff is super friendly and they will greet you with water or tea if you like. Prices are average for any nail salon. $25 for a pedicure which was pretty decent. My chair didn't have massage functioning though. They don't do exfoliation unless you pay for the upgrade....but they do, do the parafin wax dip. My gel fill was average. Each nail place I feel does the process slightly different and this place is so-so. The gel overlay I feel doesn't last as long. Perhaps is the product used. All in all my nails look just fine.
