I've been coming here to get my lashes done for the last 9 months and I absolutely love it! Both Judy and Rose do a wonderful job. They always looks so natural and I've never left unsatisfied with them. They're open to constructive criticism if you don't like a particular area and do whatever needs to be done to fix the situation. As far as their mani/pedis go I don't have a particular person I request, but I've never had an issue with any of them. They have a ton of polish and shellac colors to choose from. It's always clean, and they let you take home some of the equipment they use for sanitary purposes. Their massages are done to a timer so it's not up to the technician's discretion of what's "good enough" and it's not like some places where the massage is just them slapping lotion on you real quick. I know walk-ins are welcome and are easily accommodated when getting a mani/pedi but I would suggest calling for an appointment if you're wanting your lashes done. I've called and made same day appointments and usually gotten in around the time requested but if you're on a tight schedule I'd suggest giving them a day or two heads up! read more

I've found my new nail salon! Thi did a great job on my SNS (dipping powder) nails! I had recently picked at my cuticles and tore skin and she was great about asking if she was hurting me or if I was ok. I can honestly say I've never been asked that anywhere else! My 7-year old daughter and I enjoyed a relaxing mani/pedi here on Monday. It was her first real mani/pedi and she definitely enjoyed it. The salon is very clean, the decor is beautiful, and the overall feeling when you're there is serenity, so they have chosen a perfect name. My daughter got the princess package, with nail art on her hands and toes, and a free anklet that she got to choose. She hasn't taken it off since. I've been going to Nails of America just down the street, but this place beats their pricing hands down and we felt more valued as customers at Serenity as well. I was very excited to come and get my nails done here. I read a lot of good reviews and my usual people at my nail salon were unavailable so I decided to go ahead and try it out. Now I was running late because traffic was terrible and they were understanding about that but I told them I was running on a time crunch and couldnt do my pedi and my nails. I needed to be out in 45 mins to start getting ready for my trip out of town the next day. They kept pressuring me to do both even after I said no many times. The lady at the front said ti would end at the same time but I have done my nails since I was 13 and I can tell you one always runs longer than the other. Since they would not stop I just said ok because it was taking more time than I needed it to. I sat in the seat and let them begin work on my toes. The gentleman who was suppose to do my nails came to me and did not speak a lot of english, which did not bother me too much but he was extremely rude. I kept telling him what I wanted and he just kept telling me over and over "no you cant do that." I honestly was so uncomfortable that I could not even relax in my seat. I told the lady who was taking the polish off of my feet I was going to leave and took my feet out of the water. She did not ever give me a towel to wipe the water off. I just walked out, not causing a fuss.I will never be back and will just wait for my people at my usual salon next time because I would never walk back in that salon again. I was incredible uncomfortable nor do I recommend this place to any of my friends. read more

A friend recommended me to this place. I figured she was exaggerating when she said that their services we're the best I'd find in a 50 mike radius, but after going through the reviews I decided to give it a shot. I called to make my appointment and the receptionist was so lovely and accommodating, I had hoped I found my new go-to spa. I only needed some dipping powder and a simple pedicure with polish. When I went in my wait time was practically nonexistent and my technician seemed nice enough, if a little inexperienced. Let me tell you that this was one of the worst experiences of my life. My dipping powder had to be done TWICE and it still ended up with bubbles and being all over the place. Still ended up looking better than my pedicure though. My pedicure was a nightmare, my technician did less than the minimum on my feet. My heels were completely ignored, my cuticles were bleeding, and my nails were clipped so short that it hurt walking out. Don't waste your time or money here. The staff dos whatever they want and they still expect you to tip them afterwards. read more

I started going to Serenity when they first opened and always had a good experience. I was not an "every so often" type of customer. I treated myself to a pedicure every two weeks. Last October I had a baby, so obviously I couldn't go as often as I always had. I visited once in December and came in last Friday to start my routine again. Wow, have things changed! (not in a good way) It looks as though there has been quite a bit of turnover in the last five months, which makes me wonder why the rockstar employees that welcomed you before are no longer there. The new receptionist is awful! She was rude and dismissive. (Judy, you definitely need someone else in this role. She is the first and last person your customers see and she doesn't make a good impression.) All that being said, I arrived last Friday morning at 10 am. I was meeting two other friends for a pedicure. I wanted to treat them, so I asked if I could pay first. The receptionist DEFINITELY should have told me that they didn't have any hot water before I prepaid for three pedicures!!! I know the hot water was out of their control, but it was rather sneaky of her to wait until I had already paid and had sat in a chair to tell me. No one likes to feel as though they are being taken advantage of and that is how I felt. This could have totally been avoided if she would have been honest. I would have been happy to call my friends and have them meet me at the salon across the street and it wouldn't have been a loss in revenue for them because both salons share the same owner. I loved this salon, but I won't spend money at a place where I feel as though an employee is being dishonest. There are too many salons in Cinco. You guys better up your game! read more

Came from out of town needing a mani pedi .... Chose the wrong one ! Needing the pampering I received at another local salon and received none at this one . Very disappointed since I paid for the top of the line service. Also noticed how rude the front desk was to other customers. I made this my new "regular" place for a few months back in the spring while I was working near-by. I came in every 2 weeks for a shellac and on alternating visits got the shellac and pedi. On two occasions my shellac was not processed correctly and I had to come back the next day to have it fixed. Boy was that an ordeal! They would not fix my nails until I could remember the technician who had messed them up! The lady at the front counter wanted the person responsible to fix it, I just wanted it fixed!! I could not identify the girl who had done my nails the previous day because she wasn't there and I didn't know her name. Finally, RELUCTANLY, someone fixed my nails. (Which was simple and quick, just 2 nails I recall). The pedicures always left more to be desired, the scrub/callous removal was meh, the message was meh, the polish job was average. The customer service is aweful! After 3 months of regular service you expect to become a regular someplace but at no point in time did the front desk lady's demeanor change from anything than an utter SNOB! She is loud and brash and unsmiling and I saw that she treated her fellow employees that way. After all that, I was still going back until my nails started to become very paper thin. This has never happened to me before and so I asked my friend who is a cosmetology teacher why this my be happening and I found out the problem. During my shellac removals, the tech would not allow the acetone to fully dissolve the lacquer but instead would begin chipping away with the metal scraper eventually scrapping away many layers of my nails each time. So that was the end for me... I had to rest my nails for several months and have just been able to start shellac again. (At a different salon!) read more

This is a very nice salon. I have been here several times for pedi-cures. They have several options at various price points which is nice. They have an express pedi which is the lowest but nice if you are short on time. The prices are higher than other places we have lived, but they include so many treatments (massage, heel file, hot towel) that it is comparable. There are so many polish colors to choose from and they use good quality polish. I have had several ladies do my toes. They have all been good and polite. The atmosphere is very peaceful. The chairs all seem to work which is not always the case. The equipment is new with each customer and they send home your pumice stone and file after. Other services are available but I have not used them yet. read more

I really wanted to love this place. I honestly did. It is hard to find a salon where they are not talking Vietnamese to each other. It makes you feel like they are talking about you. My next complaint. They have a sign up that says 5% off teacher and student. My kid is 12 and is a student at a junior high. The sign just says 18 years and younger. The children's pedicure is for 10 years and younger which if fine, but I am paying for an adult pedicure on her. That is not a big deal, but when I ask if she gets the student discount, they acted highly offended. "NO!! Only teenager!" I can understand not wanting to discount the children's price, but when your STUDENT is paying an adult price anyway, they should honor it. They should specify the age on the sign instead of act like an instant a-hole when you inquire about it. Next complaint, when I tell you I want a SPA pedicure, don't try and sneak in the wax dip. That is extra money. I swear these women are like used car salesmen. Did I ask for that package? If I would have said yes, it would have bumped me to the next highest package. This place needs to be careful. They have competition in this area and people that have the money to shop elsewhere. You lost my business. read more
