I wrote a google review today for my treatment by the new owner of a salon that decided when I sat down that I should never come back. I had been coming here for 6 years. Never had a problem. Love my nail technicians. I spent extra money on the latest cats eye nails. They barely lasted a week before they started chipping and strangely wearing out at the tip. Never happened before. We were having a problem with the polish while applying and she was trying to get it to work and she was struggling. I felt so bad how hard she tried and said don't worry about it and gave her a large tip for all the effort. She is really nice and tries hard. But for whatever reason the polish was acting funny. The manager accused me of lying that it was longer than a week. I should have called while on vacation to tell her then she would believe me. I showed her a picture of the broken nail with the date, She then said I should have called. Who calls on vacation. The crazy part was that as soon as I got there and said my name she said I was not allowed to come back ever again. I had not said anything. There was no confrontation ,no one being loud or disrespectful. She replied to my bad review with this: Response from the owner 27 minutes ago Hi Terri. Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take all client experiences seriously, but we do want to clarify a few points regarding your visit. ​We always strive to stand behind our work, and if a service doesn't meet expectations, we are more than happy to look at it and discuss reasonable solutions. It was because of the manner in which this situation was handled at the front desk, not the complaint itself, that we made the difficult decision to ask you not to return. ​Furthermore, we must firmly address the rumors regarding our team. Disrespectful? Abusive? I didn't say two words before she told me I was not allowed back in. So then, I said my name and asked about what could have happened and she informed me I can't come back. I have no idea what she is even talking about. And to falsely accuse someone of this behavior is also her being the aggressor. She is lying about something to protect her business. It is truly sad when management needs to react in such a manner. I also mentioned that her employees were complaining about not being able to take vacations. That they were being threatened about it. So this is truly not a supportive working environment as she said. I am very sorry that the new owners are so disingenuous and aggressive in this manner. I have never had to respond like this ever. I have tried here a few times when my nail tech, from another salon, is on vacation and that's what I did yesterday. I don't know why I keep going back because I always seem to run into an issue when I do. I developed a fungus from the pedicures in the past and this time it's an actual infection that woke me up from my sleep. Also, I got a manicure and the nail tech cut my nails so short that he cut my finger. His response was, "it's not bleeding so you are ok." Excuse me? Not only that, the nails were cut so short that there was nothing left to be able to shape them. I left there and went and bought a nail file so I could make them look somewhat presentable until I can get to my nail tech. I spent $100 for a bad pedicure & manicure (no polish either) and it will be the last time I go there, convenient or not! read more

Nice service however, they charge you the 2,5 % if you charge your bill. It's crazy. They already have notices to plz pay tips in cash!! This is not the way to run a business. Will never go back!!!! read more

I had a pedicure done on Sunday (6/6/21) and noticed on Monday that my cuticles weren't cut down as well. Today (6/8/21) 4 of my 10 toes are chipped where most of the nail polish is gone. I also noticed the nail color on the edges of my nails were turned a pale/white color. I don't know what that means but I chose a tangerine color nail polish, and did not want it to fade like that. In all, I paid $50 for the stone pedicure. The service was mediocre, and 2.5 days later the pedicure is ruined. Not worth it. read more

DO NOT GO HERE - at least not if you want to be treated well. When this salon first opened they were nice enough. They have clearly grown too big and now have no sense of customer service. During a recent visit a small item of mine was damaged due to a faulty chair handle. The manager on duty grudgingly offered to replace it, but when it came time to pay another manager had come in. She mocked me for "expecting them to be responsible for my item" and then both staff members proceeding to yell across the crowded salon, degrading me in front on customers. When I asked if this could be handled kindly and professionally, the manager only yelled at me more. Then, a regular customer who had no business weighing in did so and came at me aggressively. The manager allowed this and did not intervene. So, I guess you get bullied here too. I felt so intimidated and violated that my husband went down behind me to let them know I would never return. They just lost over $1000 a year from at least two members of this family! read more

Great new shop in Tullamore that used to be part of the hair salon next door. Now they're separate and the same owners have three other area salons. I went there on their first full weekend after opening and they were pretty slammed so I had to make an appointment for the following day. Tessie did both my toes (hot stone pedi at $49, which is the best value of the pedis besides the basic, IMO) and nails (barely pink and white hombre SNS on my natural and short nails) and they look amazing! SNS on my natural nail was $45 plus $15 for the hombre (but they were running a special grand opening discount) Really pleased with the service and attention to detail. I live in DC and come up to see my mom, who lives in this area, and I prefer to get my hair/nail/etc services done in Bmore; I'm already up here and find it to be a much better value. My first and my last time visiting this place last week. I live in the area and decided to try this spot based on the good reviews. Bad idea. My pedicure was rushed and the polish job was crappy. I showed her a design for my nails and she said she could do it... I swear I picked one of the simplest designs because It was new to me and didn't want to be adventurous (although I'm quite simple when it comes to my nails). She took forever to do it and it was still quite sad. It looked like a kid did it. Even worse, my nails and toenails broke and chipped horribly within the first 3 days. My toes never chip... They are getting an extra star due to cleanliness and the lady that provided the services was polite and she did try. read more

I was in last week on Monday to have a gel manicure and spent $35. Wednesday evening three nails broke and it was to late to call. Thursday was Thanksgiving so Friday morning I went in the the owner Alden and Tessie the mananger were on vacation and they offered to fix the nails. The one nail was so short that it was way down below the skin and really hurt. I did not want anyone touching it. I was told to call back on Monday so I went in early and Tessie said it has been a week and I said you were away and she would not refund my money or give me a credit to come in when my nail grew out some. I emailed Alden on Monday and gave him a chance to get back to me. He emailed me back on Tuesday and would not do anything. Also on Tuesday my fourth nail broke. I have never had nails break with gel before. Here I have spent $35 and a tip and my nails lasted 2 days. This was not acceptable. Customer service was very poor. read more
