Okay, three days before Christmas, and I decided I needed to look into getting my nails done. I called Golden Nail Spa--and they told me to come in even though I knew it had to be a busy time. The gentleman was very nice and did a very nice job with my kitten-scratched fingers with a very pretty manicure that was reasonably priced. The only downside was the cold temperature of the store. I have been here a few times. The spa pedicure is great and priced fairly. Friendly staff and salon is very clean. Others mentioned tools already being opened, but that has not been my experience; tools have always been packaged. Creams and lotions are single-serve portions so no cross contamination. read more

I have visited this place several times and on one of my visits I witness unsanitary practices. Utensils weren't cleaned and already out of the container. I said something to them about it. The tech grabbed another set and finished. I shouldn't have had to say anything. But just be careful and watch if you continue to patronize. I will not be back. read more

I have been going to this salon since moving to the area 5 years ago and have always had a great experience. I went in there this week to get a dip manicure and the man that helped me, I had not seen before. He did such a terrible job on my dip manicure that the nice lady that works at the first desk has to remove it all so he could start over. She explained to him how to properly do the dip. He then did the exact opposite and applied gel instead. When I got to the register he tried to charge me for dip and was insistent that was what I got. Unfortunately I will not ever be going back there, I hope that they hire more well trained staff in the future. read more

Took me as a walk in, and did an absolutely beautiful job on my gel, nail polish... Also, my technician, Ann, did a very good job with eyebrow waxing. Prices incredibly fair! I will definitely be back. read more

weirdest thing. I have usually had a great experience here. then I tried it and this time got a man, he came out with his tools already in a container. I have no idea if they were auto claved or not. I asked him to get a new tools, and he said no. They didn't wipe down the chair from the person before me. I saw the person get up and there was hair in it I brushed it off. I also didn't get a hot towel on my leg. It looks like everybody got a hot towel. I always had one before. Instead, he rubbed the lotion into the grainy scrub on my leg and barely rinsed it off my legs, itched until I was able to get home and shower. when he grabbed the scrub out of the jar, he grabbed it with the wet glove that he used on me which means that jar is now contaminated, which also means how contaminated was it before he put it on me. Some thing felt very off about the experience. When I checked out, he even asked me for a tip which was unprofessional and weird. I have found a different salon to go to instead because now I just don't feel safe going back again. I'm not sure if any of the instruments were new or clean. I just feel like it's just not worth the risk. I'm really hoping I don't get staph or any type of infection and yes I should've just left. I just kept thinking he had to clean things right but deep down inside I don't feel good about the experience at all and I wouldn't recommend anybody to chance it. read more

What is the point of taking appointments if the time won't be respected? I waited over 15 minutes past my appointment time to be seen as walk-ins were prioritized. I ended up leaving after they put me in a pedicure chair to wait "5 minutes" when another customer had already been sitting there unattended and waiting and technicians were clearly 10 minutes (at least) from being able to get to me. If I walked in, I understand having a long wait but if I make an appointment I don't have the time to be seen 25+ minutes past when I booked for. I scheduled an appt for a friend and myself to get pedicures at the same time. I arrived before my friend. Another customer arrived at the same time and said I don't have an appt but I want a mani/pedi They took her back to chair, My friend arrived at 10:30 and they sat us in chairs next to each other but only one tech was available. She did my nails first while my friend sat next to me with her feet in the water. I said, I made an appt for both of us to be having our pedis at the same time. The tech said, well, she was late. My friend was actually right on time and and I was a couple minutes early. WhenI left I said I was disappointed in their service because I had called for a specific time and appt. The owner then said, my Worker came in late. I disagreed saying, no, you took the woman without an appt instead. Very bad customer service!!!!! We will not be going there again. read more
