Throughout the session, staff repeatedly exposed me by walking in and out of the room and leaving the door open. When I confronted the situation, the therapist tried to pass off the deep tissue massage as a Thai massage until I mentioned that I'm a massage therapist. Then she casually remarked, "Oh, I can just charge you for a deep tissue." To make matters worse, she refused to give me the manager's number, which forced me to call the police and file a report. I was already planning to leave a 10% tip, but I was told that I **had** to leave a 20% tip. I did not see anything posted stating that a 20% gratuity was their standard policy. If that is their expectation, it should be clearly communicated to customers before the service begins--not by pressuring them at checkout. When I politely asked why a 20% tip was required, the employee simply walked away without explaining. Tipping should be based on the customer's experience and should never feel mandatory unless it has been clearly disclosed in advance. Because of the way I was treated during checkout, I don't think I will return, despite the massage itself being decent.

What followed was 90 minutes of pure bliss. She incorporates many signature touches in the client experience and she really understood my body structure and alignment and did some deep work on my "kinks". This wasn't one of those "diggy" deep massages where you're biting your finger in pain. Something about the way that she moves her hands creates deep work while at the same time soothing the muscle.
