Not only was the treatment completely different, but it was also mediocre. They used hot stones I never asked for, and they weren't even hot. Throughout the session, staff repeatedly exposed me by walking in and out of the room and leaving the door open. When I confronted the situation, the therapist tried to pass off the deep tissue massage as a Thai massage until I mentioned that I'm a massage therapist. Then she casually remarked, "Oh, I can just charge you for a deep tissue." To make matters worse, she refused to give me the manager's number, which forced me to call the police and file a report. Don't book here for any massage.

The lady did not ask me about any of the problem areas I had circled or asked if I had any injuries or anything to be cautious of, which I did not but still thought it was odd because I've never had such an impersonal massage experience. Unfortunately, the massage was painful. She pressed directly on bones, did not work on the areas I specifically asked her to focus on, and continued working on painful spots even after I asked her to stop or adjust after saying "ok!" each time. I still left 12% because I did not want to stiff her, and thought 12% was more than enough for hurting me and not allowing me to relax. (For the record, I love very deep tissue massages, and I always relax when the person knows what they're doing.) She looked at the receipt, slammed it down, furiously pointed at the tip, and yelled, "WHAT IS THIS?! 20% ONLY!!" She had me clutching my pearls. I run businesses, and I would never in a million years approach a customer about a tip, let alone reprimand them for one. The only thing I could think to say is "it's a TIP...." Aka a reflection of your service... She then tried to shoo me out with her hand, and that's when I became stern. I said, No, please explain this to me. Is 20% required here? Is it required everywhere? If it's mandatory, it should be an automatic 20% gratuity on the receipt. You cannot leave the tip optional and then get angry when someone tips less. She just kept yelling "20%!" Four years later, apparently the massage may vary, but the 20% tantrum is still exactly the same from the same lady.
