Our Winston at the top of his game....

Our senior kitty started declining about three months ago. We had him see two different Vet's during this period, and he was being treated, but his condition seemed futile. He was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, and was wasting away. It was happening fast. Each day seemed like a contest to get our kitty Winston to eat. He would eat a mouthful here and there, but showed little interest in food. Finally, he started refusing food all together, and hiding himself under the bed. I Knew what was happening and I started to feel panicked because I didn't want him to spend his last moments being put in a pet taxi and driven to a Vet's office to leave this life in a strange environment. Thank goodness I found Serenity Vet Service on here, and read some remarkable reviews. I made the call, which was one of the hardest things I ever did. About 10 minutes later Dr Laurie returned my call. She asked me a lot of questions and assessed Winston's situation. She explained her service and how the process worked. She gave me some choices with either an appointment within a couple hours, or the next day. I was concerned that Winston may not make it through the night, so I told Dr Laurie to come that day. As the appointment time approached, I began to feel panic again....what if it was too soon, what if I was making a mistake? As soon as I opened the door and met Dr Laurie, she put me at ease. Her whole demeanor was kind, loving and caring. She was that way with my husband and I both. She took time to bond with us and make us feel comfortable, there was no rushing into it. She even played with and talked to our two other cats. But, make no mistake, this was all about Winston. She treated him with loving kindness, like he was her own. In the end, she treated him with tender loving care. That meant so much to us. After he passed, she was so kind and careful handling him. As she left with him, it felt like she was an Angel taking him home. In the future, I will never have my pet leave home at the end, I'll never surrender them. I'll call Dr Laurie. I can't express my heart felt thanks to her.

I'm so grateful to Dr. Laurie for helping me say goodbye to my boy Riley on August 3, 2023. I dreaded that day but feel so lucky to have had Riley with me for 17 years. Dr. Laurie was so kind on the phone and traveled thru traffic to help us thru the tough process. Today I picked up Riley's preserved paw print which I am so glad to have. Serenity was definitely a great comfort, highly recommended.

I wish, I wish I could give this place 20 stars. Such a class act. They were so kind and professional. Our human family members do not get treated as well. She was so patient and gentle with my girl and me. She was soft spoken and helped me through each stage of her passing. She sat right on the floor next to us while I held her on my couch till my girl left us. Gave us grieving material and welcomed us to call her if we needed. Unfortunately, my husband booked another company for the cremation. We went from soft-spoken beautiful lady and feeling like butterflies, rainbows, spiritual love to this guy showing up with what looked like a garbage bag to take her! Thank goodness we had a carry-on bag that the doctor left us. Certainly, way more humane. I hope that I don't have to use her very soon, but if God forbid I do, I would never call anyone else. Make sure you use them for all stages including the cremation. We even received a follow up pretty little card today, and hand written of course.

The attendants and doctors come into the room for interactive exams but take the pets back to do any bloodwork etc. It's such a warm and welcoming alternative to traditional vet visits. They don't attempt to up charge you or mislead you in any way. They are very forthcoming and clear in their communication. We easily made an appointment and my husband brought him in. The facility itself is clean, with plenty of seating to wait for your appointment. The people working here are friendly and really kind. Turns out there was nothing wrong with him, it was just something chihuahuas do when excited or nervous. After realizing that, he was given a check over and turns out he's a very healthy good boy. We had to come in again for a different issue a few months later and while the people working here were still friendly and nice, I felt that our concerns weren't really taken seriously. I will come back in again because of the first experience but I might change vets if our concerns are basically ignored again.

Then they do a health screen on your pup to make sure they are okay for surgery. I had an 8:35am appointment, left my pup at about 9am ish and then got a call around 1pm letting me know her procedure went fine and she was in recovery. I was set to pick her up at 4:15pm. When you come back they check you in and put you in a room with a vet assistant to go over post op procedure. The process comes with a free cone fitted to your pup. They make sure you go over the procedure for meds too and leave time to let you ask questions on your way out. Emma has had a lot of things happen and Dr. Blakesley and the team have cared for Emma in the most heartfelt ways. We have been there more recently lately and the staff from the front office, Emma #2 (human version), to the techs who have been giving Emma her fluids, Jill, the most amazing tech who loved on Emma dearly, to Dr B, these people are angels on this earth. We initially started coming here because another vet in town was trying to do something shady and I am so forever grateful that that happened as Emma had the best care in the world and the best people in her life when things got tough. It doesn't matter where you live, we moved to Southern Highlands, and we kept coming here. I would advise anyone to make the change and come here and see Dr. B, the most genuine, caring, amazing vet I have ever known. I will miss coming here from the bottom of my heart. I hope someone can read this and make the decision to switch and get to experience the best pet care in the world. Forever grateful for you all loving on our Emma girl. She spent a lot of time with explaining and educating about health and nutrition for my pups. Emergency issues like sudden bouts of sickness are handled swiftly and they make every effort to be there to provide care even if a different veterinarian needs to step in and help. All of our concerns have been addressed and the staff is friendly and smiley. The inside is clean and doesn't smell like strong pet odors. I look forward to continued care here because we truly spare no expense for our two little ones.

It's in the new Walgreens and where the Babk of America used to be. It's import to tell you where it is because the address on Google maps places it in the incorrect area. We saw Dr Wagner ! She listens with her eyes! I have a terrible time trying to communicate because of a brain injury. Dr Wagner and all of the staff are so amazing in their true care for not only the patient ( my sweetest huge dog) as well as my trying desperately to tell them what I have observed of my dog.. my words come out differently than I see in my head. So, this group has been very excellent in communicating. The office was very clean! The front desk has a very sweet lady working the desk and appointments. They do text which is easiest for me to understand which is crucial in my current situation. The front desk lady is named Val! What a total sweetheart! I was late because my dog refused to get into my vehicle. She thought she was going back to the rescue. This is my fault because I was so worried about my dog, she didn't want to go when I was upset. I tried for 45 minutes to get my huge dog into my car and she absolutely refused. I calked Val and she sent me the information to call Pets & Claws NV who promptly drove to my home to grab my 124 pound stubborn dog and wisk her to the vet for me. . I had the option of going with them or driving behind them. I chose to drive behind them because I really wanted the vet to have time with my dog knowing she would need sedation to be examined because she felt so poorly. The staff was not upset with me for being over an hour late, I pray they know I truly tried so hard because arriving late is my worst nightmare. I don't like to keep people waiting especially busy vet clinics. If you have a pet in Las Vegas you will know finding a vet you can trust is close to impossible. I LOVED this vet clinic. I brought my own dog treats because I know what treats motivate my baby better than anyone. . We chose the freeze dried beef liver. The veterinarian had the same treats! The room was so clean. They had a small blanket for my dog to lay down on and brought her a clean water bowl 1/3 ice and a little water over the top which is perfect so the dog drink too much in case they need anesthesia. My dog eagerly drank the water then enjoyed kicking the ice. There was a welcome sign with my most precious babies name on it! I thought, how classy and welcoming. . The techs that I met were extremely kind and supportive. I'm sorry I don't remember their name. My brain wasn't working since I was so stressed from being so late! Like my dog, I was very apprehensive because I wanted help for my girl and since I worked so hard to get there, my brain took a big shite. Great not. Yes I know the dog picks up my anxiety but I've had horrible Dr visits as well as veterinary visits since I came to Las Vegas over 20 years ago. It's worse now since my brain isn't normal functioning like it used to. The technicians talked to me first then the doctor came in. The area where I sat, was long enough for me to kind of lay down since I was exhausted and fearful hoping they could help my dog. My anxiety was at 119%. The Dr took time to hear me , I had kept a food and water diary for my dog for several weeks so I was able to give her exact portions of what at what time. I wanted to make sure my dog could have anesthesia for her exam. She was in a bad way and I hoped for a thorough examination without extra pain for my dog. The doctor explained what she was going to do and took my dog to the work area and allowed me to go home to wait. I was called a couple hours later and the vet left a message that I could pick up my dog as she was coming out of anesthesia . I called to see if the transportation was available but they were busy so I called the vet and they said they could get my dog into my car. Thankfully my dog was loopy but happy to see me. The bill was very close to the estimate so no surprise there. Yes veterinarian bills are not cheap however I was very very pleased with the accuracy of the original estimate. The doctor took time to show me the images of my dog and explained every detail of her exam. Not one vet has ever done this for me. I appreciate the extra time as this is MY child. She showed me everything. Then she explained the medication needed that they had prescribed. My dog was due for her rabies . I really don't want a rabies shot because they have a NEW one that resembles the mRNA shots we all horrible we're forced to take in 2021. I knew I absolutely refused to have the new rabies shot and she had the original version which is the one she gave to my dog. This I appreciate more than most could .
