My 15 year old Fur Baby

Thank you for your kindness, support, compassion and this service that you provide as an option to the whole pet family community Hunter and I will be eternally grateful

Dr. Christy was absolutely spectacular. She is incredibly compassionate and patient, and I will be giving her card to everyone I know. As long as I have fur babies, who never stay with us long enough, Sacred Transitions will always be my go-to. The nose print is PRICELESS!

We saw Mickey ( our puppy) on a website and sent Louisa's New leash on Life a message on the chance he would still be available to meet. The next day we met Mickey, walked him around and played a little bit and we ended up both agreeing that he was a good fit for us. I was very impressed how Mike took the time in the details. Mike came over to ensure Mickey would be safe, checking our fence, but what I really liked is Mike was very up front about Mickey's personality and after 2 years, Mickey has been a great part of the family and my wife and I are very happy with our experience. The thing that sets Louisa Rescue apart from others we have worked with is that Mike keeps in contact with us and continues to offer and provide support. Mike is a great partner and is always there to help. In conclusion, if your looking for a great rescue to work with to include training and support, then I would highly recommend Mike and Louisa's New Leash on Life Rescue.

That is exactly what we found with Dr. Woulter Bolsenbroek, DVM. Our dog, Willow, had developed severe gastrointestinal complications after an adverse reaction to a generic antibiotic prescribed for an elbow infection. After seeing alarming black, tarry stool with blood, we immediately sought emergency care following an appointment with our local veterinarian. Willow was ultimately diagnosed with Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis (HGE). From the moment Dr. Bolsenbroek walked into the room, we knew Willow was in capable hands. He was calm, professional, exceptionally knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. Despite working in a busy emergency and critical care setting, he never made us feel rushed. He patiently answered every question, explained Willow's condition in terms we could understand, and made sure we were comfortable with every decision throughout her treatment. What impressed us most was his honesty and integrity. In today's world, it's easy to worry about unnecessary testing or expensive treatments. Dr. Bolsenbroek recommended only what Willow truly needed, nothing more. Every diagnostic and treatment had a clear purpose, and he took the time to explain the reasoning behind each one. That level of transparency built immediate trust. We also want to recognize Carrie, one of the veterinary nurses, whose compassion and dedication to Willow's care were outstanding. Additionally, Catlyn and Betty at the front desk were welcoming and eager to help from the moment we arrived. Although no one ever wants to need emergency veterinary care, we left feeling incredibly grateful. Willow is now on the mend thanks to Dr. Bolsenbroek's accurate diagnosis, thoughtful treatment plan, and exceptional medical care. If you ever face a veterinary emergency, I cannot recommend Dr. Woulter Bolsenbroek and his team highly enough. They combine clinical excellence with genuine compassion, communicate every step of the process, and practice medicine with honesty and integrity. That combination is rare, and it made all the difference for our family and for Willow.

We were put in a room and waited for hours without even a brief exam to rule out something so serious. I understand emergency hospitals can get busy but there was no sense of urgency, very little communication and the overall attitude from the staff felt indifferent and unwelcoming. After waiting for hours, I made the difficult decision to leave because I genuinely felt like I was losing precious time with my dog. We drove to another emergency animal hospital, where the staff immediately assessed her and treated us with kindness and compassion. Thankfully, it turned out to be GI irritation and not bloat. If we had stayed here any longer and it had actually been bloat, the outcome could have been devastating. No pet owner should be left sitting for hours wondering if their dog has a life threatening condition without even a quick initial assessment. Based on my experience, I would not trust this hospital with another emergency.

But with Dr. B's guidance and the help of her absolutely amazing team we got Bruno on a medication regimen and quickly got his pain under control. We started with acupuncture, laser treatments, Chinese herbs and strict crate rest. The website had wonderful suggestions on how to set your pet up in a relaxing area, how to handle the other pets maybe wanting to say goodbye, and what to expect throughout the process. I especially appreciated Dr. Olsen walking us through each step again when she was onsite. Sometimes it is difficult to remember what we read as we are actually in the process and focusing on our last minutes with our beloved. Dr. Olsen was near but not hovering so we didn't feel rushed at all; we controlled the pace at all times. She made in-the-minute suggestions that I'm so glad she asked since I know I would have regretted not doing so. For instance, she and I lovingly put my sweet dog into a basket after she left us and Dr. Olsen asked if I would like to carry her out. I balked at first but I'm so glad I did. It helped in my process of letting my darling go. Dr. Olsen had made the back of her SUV a loving tribute as I slid the basket into the back of the vehicle with a blanket for the basket to lay on and a beautiful sentiment nearby on an easel.
