A month ago we had to make the very difficult decision to help our beloved 12-year old Chow Chow "Marley" cross the Rainbow Bridge. He was such a loving and loyal fur baby...but in a lot of pain. We wanted to relieve Marley of any "undo stress"...so I called Dr. Blanch Pierce to come to our home where Marley felt safe and comfortable. Dr. Pierce came that very same day...so we didn't have to wait and prolong his illness and pain. Dr. Pierce was so loving, kind and compassionate and talked to Marley before the procedure began. She gave him a shot of a powerful anesthesia....which "knocked him out" so he really didn't even know what was going on. My husband and I sat by him during the procedure. It was very quick and painless for Marley...but for us, the flood gates opened. After it was all over, we took Marley's lifeless body to the Craig Road Pet Cemetery where he was cremated. What a compassionate and kind group of people there. Although it was terribly difficult to lose our "protector" and our "fur baby" we know he is out of pain and in a much better place. We had to put our 14.5 year old English Bulldog to sleep, and I called many places to get quotes. Everyone I spoke to everywhere was very nice but their prices were more than I was looking to spend. Waggin Wheels was the most affordable by far. The only down side was they didn't offer removal for cremation, but recommended another company who was also amazing and reasonably priced. Blanche was amazing every step of the way and made such a hard process so much easier for me and my whole family. She walked us through all the steps and even brought a sausage paddy for my sweet Titus to have as he drifted to sleep. Dr. Pierce is a wonderful vet that's both skilled and compassionate. We had to put our dog of 16 years to sleep, and wanted to have it done in the comfort and familiarity of our home. We called a few other places that offer this service, but it was just a strange weekend where nobody was available due to scheduling. I left a voicemail for Dr. Pierce in the morning and she returned my call that afternoon, and I could tell in her voice that she truly cared and would make the whole process as painless and gentle as possible. True to her word, she did just that, and our dog spent her final moments on earth happy and peaceful. This sort of thing is difficult for every animal lover, but we're so glad that Dr. Pierce was able to help. Some other reviews stated irritation that she wasn't able to accommodate, but understand she doesn't have an office staff. She's been a mobile vet for 30+ years in Las Vegas, so it's likely she won't pick up the phone when you call since she has clients throughout the day, then schedules new clients in the afternoon/early evening. She was still able to help us within 24 hours, but it may be hard to get something if it's a last minute emergency. read more

This was one of the hardest decisions of my life so I thought I'd share my experience if it helps with your decision. My best friend Jermaine had been battling cancer but it was clear he was declining fast & our vet felt it was time to let him rest. Selfishly, I initially didn't want him to pass away in our apartment because i didn't want to have that last memory of him dying every time I was home, but Jermaine didn't like going to the vet & he was starting to have trouble getting up. I didn't want his last moments having to be afraid on a table in a place he didn't like. He would have preferred to be in his own bed with his favorite songs on. Another company was recommended to me but they didn't have a vet available for a while so I was on my own to find someone asap. I wasn't having much luck finding a mobile vet but I did find Dr Pierce here on yelp & the reviews looked promising. The phone number listed is a cell phone number & my initial call was not answered. Dr pierce did reply back but replied through text & most communication after was through text. I thought this was kind of odd at first but knowing that she travels a lot & spends much time in very personal situations, it makes sense now. We did speak on the phone when setting up my appointment & she was very kind and transparent. We made an appointment for a Saturday morning (she said she's available 7 days a week, mainly in the am hours.) Jermaine & I enjoyed our final hours as much as we could & Dr Pierce arrived right on time. She was very understanding & gave Jermaine an exam to ensure it was indeed his time, she concluded it definitely was his time to go & gave me some time. I prayed with Jermaine, told him I loved him, thanked him for being the best friend ever and then I held him while she injected Jermaine with a sedative. She said it would be about 3 minutes before he was sedated. I held him & tried my hardest to hold back tears while telling him who the bestest boy was. I didn't realize he was already under because his eyes stayed open, I didn't expect that, but Dr Pierce confirmed he was sedated. After saying my final goodbyes, she had me give her the ok when I was ready & she injected Jermaine with a barbiturate mixture that sent him to the afterlife free from any more pain. I held Jermaine as I felt him take his final breath, it took a couple minutes. It was extremely hard for me, but I wholeheartedly believe it was the last gift I could have given Jermaine. It was very gentle & I couldn't have pictured him going more peacefully than he did. I knew he was ready to go & Dr Pierce pointed out all the symptoms of the cancer that she observed also & rested my mind about it being the right time. This is a very hard thing to do for any dog-lover but I would highly recommend at-home euthanasia & Dr Pierce as a selfless gift to your pet. I know rates differ but I paid about $250 which wasn't much more than what my vet quoted & it was more than worth it for such a peaceful, comfortable goodbye for my best friend. Full transparency, Dr Pierce doesn't provide service post euthanasia so after Jermaine passed away, I had to transport him to the crematorium & this was the hardest part for me. I was such a mess that my gf had to wrap him up in his blanket and carry him to the car and she had to drive us while he laid in the back seat. This was a very tough ride but still the experience couldn't have been better for Jermaine & eventually for myself. It's been a week & I don't have any negative feelings about his passing when I'm in my place. I only think of all the great memories we shared together. We went to Compassionate Pet Cremation in Henderson & they were very great there also. I haven't received Jermaine back yet, but I still feel his spirit every day and I really do believe he is very grateful for how he was taken care of. Thank you Dr Pierce. read more

She also accepted my Personal Check and in Return gave me a hand written Receipt. I Wholeheartedly Recommend, Vet Blanche for her personalized and gentle caring service and professionalism. There are not enough words in the world to thank Dr. Pierce for her service. She responded to an early morning call because we needed to put down our Baxter and we wanted him to be at home and comfortable. She squeezed us in and was incredibly professional and kind and reassured us that we were doing the right thing. She suggested that we have Baxter's favorite food available and because of it, he died eating pancakes surrounded with love. Dr Pierce made a painful day slightly easier to cope with and we will be eternally grateful. Her services cost a little more than other providers, but it is worth every single penny. Sadly, I tried contacting Dr Pierce today and received a text saying that she's unavailable for an undetermined length of time. She helped us when our beloved Bernese was ready to go and we were blown away with her patience and compassion. We've had to help a couple of babies cross over in the last decades and this was, by far, the best way to handle it. Additionally, it was less expensive than the vet clinic has charged us although I did have to make separate arrangements for the remains. Having the passage being done at home and with all loved ones present was incredibly less traumatic for all involved, especially for our Beloved. Time had come to put our beloved dog down, but our vet and most vets in the area only performed home euthanasia during limited hours and days. That wasn't going to work for us, so with a quick Yelp search I came across Waggin Wheels Mobile Clinic. Dr. Pierce was quick to return my call and after checking her schedule, an appointment was made for her to visit. I have experienced being with a pet while it was put down, but never in my home. The doctor was very sensitive and caring. She spoke in a soft voice and told us each step she was going to do. It was very emotional, but I am so glad she was able to make a house call. No need to upset the animal by taking it to the vet. We also felt more comfortable in our own home to be as emotional as needed. (The sound of me crying can scare some people.) Plus my other dog and two cats sat nearby during the process which was both comforting and ominous at the same time. After the procedure was done we chose to stay with our dog to say our goodbyes and we then took her body to the vet for cremation. It was her time and we didn't want her to suffer any longer. Very sadly to say, I had to call Dr. Pierce last week. My baby was diagnosed with lymphoma and her quality of life had rapidly diminished. I found Dr. Pierce on here a couple of years ago, but had never called her because my boy ended up going on his own terms. I called Dr. Pierce on Wednesday night, as she was finishing up work for the night. She told me she could either come right away, or first thing in the morning. Maybe I was selfish, but I needed one last night with my baby girl. Dr. Pierce came on time, was caring and compassionate, and throughly explained to us what had to be done. She provided a complete anesthetic before she gave the injection, and my baby went peacefully in her sleep. Dr. Pierce charged me $175 for the euthanasia, and then I had to go to the pet cemetery on my own. On what might have been the most horrible day of my life, Dr. Pierce helped to make it as comfortable as possible. I would never consider driving one of my pets to a hospital for end of life given the ease and comfort my girl was provided in her own home surrounded by loved ones.
