You can tell the team here truly cares about the appearance the upkeep. Unfortunately, during our stay, the AC was broken in the bedrooms. It was an unseasonably hot day and each of the bedrooms was 80+ degrees. The common areas including the location for the ceremony and dinner were properly climate controlled, but sleeping was difficult. Luckily, the outside temperature cooled down enough overnight for us to leave our sliding glass door open for a breeze.

I regret not renting it out for the night before also. However, a lot of the wedding party stayed there anyways. HIGHLY recommend doing that! It's beautiful! It makes the day go so smoothly because everyone is in one place! There's lots of things to do in the upstairs portion to fill the time. Just makes everything easier! I highly recommend Tall Oaks!

When we arrived their was a babyshower in one room and then my friend's party in the other. They did a good job of keeping the two things separate so we wouldn't disturb one another. When we walked into the room for the party, it was absolutely beautiful! They did an amazing job with the decorations, food displays, and the bar. Since they were serving liquor at the event, there was an officer to monitor. Which was great! My friend had a live band and dj perform at her party and the setup and sound was amazing in the space! It was very intimate but had enough space for all who attended. I was truly impressed because the last time I was in this party center was for an awards banquet back in high school. I will for sure keep this place in mind as I am planning upcoming events and parties.

We got there at 1:30 pm (it ran from 11:00am to 4:00pm) and they were already running out of deserts. Avoid this place and go to Bob Evans or someplace, don't waste your money here!

Held a gathering at historic twenty event center recently. Short story is the owner is snotty,…read morerude, unprofessional, unorganized and extremely hard to deal with. Initial viewing of the venue was lovely. She showed us around and walked us thru other day so we put down a deposit. Then when I tried to make the second payment (prior to the day it was due) she had no recollection of who I was, the party we were having, what I paid and what I owed. Third and final time I tried to her, I couldn't get her to answer or email back to take payment. After a week, she emailed back and outlined the day again and shortened our time at the venue. Then didn't hear from her until 2 days before the party. Which she then shortened our day another hour AGAIN. Day of the party she neglected to tell me where the broom was, so I asked. That's when she gave me the rudest attitude for no reason. She loudly said we were OVER our time limit. Which was clearly incorrect bc I had proof in the outline SHE SENT ME! Then she refused to send back my deposit even after we cleaned up exactly how she asked. Trash was taken out, tables and floors were swept off. Everything was left exactly how we found it. She was standing at the door of the venue with a leaf blower with her arms crossed tapping her toe in irritation. Over the phone she said it was $500. Then ended up being more like $750. I emailed her twice to get my deposit back... no answer! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Beautiful venue too, it's a shame management has a stick shoved somewhere.

We had heard some bad stories and read some poor reviews, so they also hired a Wedding Coordinator whom had held events here in the past for extra assurances. We're really glad we did both because everything went so well! The venue looked beautiful on the morning of the wedding! Nick had everything ready and had the outdoor landscaping trimmed as requested. The food was amazing and everything was presented right on time. Our guests were all treated wonderfully by the staff.
