Took my vehicle in and told the owner what I suspected the problem to be. He said he did an inspection and the vehicle needed it's motor rebuilt for $2500-3500. And he didn't want to do the work. So I bought a new motor for $5,000 because I've had bad experiences with rebuilt engines. The shop that's doing the motor install opened up the old motor serg deemed bad and it turns out what I originally suspected the problem to be WAS THE PROBLEM!! A $400 fix from any other competent mechanic! I wasted $4600 on the word of this shop. Simply because he was lazy with his diagnostic that I was happy to pay top dollar for. This is not the first time I've been rinsed by these guys- this happened once before to a lesser degree years ago. Fool me once.... read more

He screamed over me but made promises, then called me back later and reneged while screaming at me in an unhinged manner. I worry for the physical safety and mental well-being of anyone who takes their car here based on his out-of-control raging that convinced me not to let him touch my vehicle due to his deranged, obnoxious, verbal abuse and his deceptive business practices. In another low-rated review, I read Serge's excuse that his staff's abuse was due to it being a "hectic part of the day." WOW! So he admitted it but blamed it on being so busy they abuse customers. I live 10-15min away, so I would ask their lead mechanic how long it would take for an oil change so I knew whether to stick around or Uber home and return later. They are incompetent for anything more than routine maintenance like oil changes. Beyond routine maintenance my opinion of this business is that they do not have the know-how nor ability to fix to standard. I had a problem with my engine and they made it worse. My car is in undrivable condition now and I am considering just selling bc another trusted mechanic (far away, but I regret not taking there initially) told me I would be better off selling. To make matters worse,the two main guys running the shop are extremely rude and have severely bad tempers. read more

My car was leaking coolant and I had originally taken it down the street to another shop who told me that the housing unit was broken and needed to be replaced; however, the part was backordered for 3 months+. I waited for weeks to find other remedies or backup solutions and the other place couldn't figure it out (they ended up making me pay for a repair I didn't even need). I got so sick of it that I almost just sold my car but thankfully I called Serge's and he immediately told me he'd call his own supplier for the part. I was a little suspicious and didn't think he'd be able to pull it off but he called me in 10 minutes and said bring your car in. I brought it in and he said come back in 24 hours and it'll be fixed. A Rare Experience. I was in an accident that wrecked my bumper and damaged my hood. Serge and his team gave me a quote, but when they removed the bumper, they found additional damage to the radiator and frame. They fixed everything- and also cleaned the car's exterior!- for the original quoted price, despite the additional work and parts. He said he wanted to honor what he had told me. I've had tire rotations and brakes changed here with one car and one big challenge in removing a harmonator in another one. They told me the harmonator would be a challenge to to take but after 72 hrs, they did it and without giving up. That's a testament to relentlessness at customer satisfaction. My brakes were being naughty so since I value my life and others....I decided to get them checked. I picked Serge's not because of the reviews (there weren't too many), but because I wanted a place nearby where I was able to walk home in case I had to leave car. I dropped her off at 9am and he said he'd call with the results. I walked uphill back home taking me 30 minutes. He was nice enough to offer a ride, but I wanted the exercise. "Hello, is this Miss Ellen?" "Yes..what did you find?" "Your back brakes have only 40% left, but your front have 60%. The back ones need to be replaced..the rotor and pads. "Ok..how much will it be?" "Your back ones definitely need replacing, but let me tell you what....I want to save you money and I want to make money too..right? The back ones will be replaced, but the front ones I will just turn the rotors. You're front ones will last a while." "Wow..Thanks for the honesty" My brakes were done by 1200 (3 hours only) and was very happy with service and especially the honesty. We recently located to the area and I was looking for a good, honest mechanic to take care of my aging 2004 Ford Expedition. Before moving, I had a very trustworthy mechanic and I try to take very good care of my cars, making them last as long as possible by performing all the dealer recommended services at the proper intervals, regular maintenance, etc. With over 225,000 miles, I know some things are going to go wrong but the core components (Engine/Transmission) are still in great shape. I did a TON of research on Yelp, NextDoor, etc. and wanted to give Serges a try based on the stellar reviews. Like others have said here, the reviews don't lie. I first got an oil change at Serges to get a feel and everything went great.
