Tacos Dorados
Mr. C.

I've tried a couple spots in the IE and this one is pretty solid, they got a lot of locations in LA. Anyway I get myself the tacos dorados with some rice. The birria is good, it's missing that flavor to give it that five star taste but it's not bad either. The rice is solid, genuine taste. Tacos Dorados: 7.8 Rice: 7.7

Searched on yelp for birria nearby and this was recommended. I'm glad it came up and close by! This place was delicious and hit the craving like no other. This has been the best tasting birria I've had, hands down. I see why this place is such a rave. Ordered the quesadilla, two tacos with small consome. Delicious! I was craving birria and would've went to my normal spot which could be their competition, but I thought let me try yelp to see what's available. Glad this was recommended! You have the options of taking out or eating there. Just note, you will make a mess while eating so make sure wherever you eat, a bathroom is nearby. I suggest not eating this type of food at a picnic unless there's water nearby. Welcoming staff. Clean restrooms. Plenty of parking. Located in busy shopping plaza.

I was craving Birria for breakfast and found this gem. Birrieria Gonzalez is located in a large shopping center with plenty of parking available. Upon arrival we were greeted by Yuderia. Yuderia was very welcoming checked on us multiple times. They have a big selection of aguas frescas. I ordered quesa taco dorado, vampiro, taco dorado and consome. They were all delicious tasted fresh. The consome was seasoned to perfection. I didnt add anything to it was soooo delicious. Great ambiance. You can enjoy the music playing in the background and still hold a conversation with people at the table. Plenty of indoor seating and very clean. They have a good selection of postres. I was too full to try them this time around but definitely next time.

Considering how long menudo takes the people that were there Tuesday September 7th were very friendly and helpful. Excellent service and food was amazing. They double wrapped my food as it was to go and very nicely done. La comida es sabrosa y el servicio muy bueno. Una muchacha me atendió muy bien me olvidé su nombre. Yo estaba cansado

Amazing food. Birria hits the spot. But the ladies taking your order and bringing the food are amazing. Legit birria spot.

The flavor was…read moregood, and they were definitely spicy -- I enjoy spicy food, but these had enough heat that I needed a little break between bites. I was there enjoying them with a beer and good conversation. We were taking our time eating and enjoying our drinks; the aguachiles were not the only thing on our table. While we were still eating, someone from the kitchen came out and asked if he could take our plate. We politely said no thank you because we were still working on it. A few minutes later he came back and insisted on taking the plate, saying something along the lines of, "A clean table makes a consumer buy more," but the way it was said came across as rude and made us feel rushed. If the plate had been mostly empty, with just a couple of pieces left, I would have completely understood. But that wasn't the case -- I had only eaten about 2-3 shrimp out of a dozen. I shared how I felt, explaining that I understood clearing finished plates, but we were clearly not done. His response was dismissive and he walked away. The food had potential, and the aguachiles had good flavor, but the service experience left me disappointed. Sometimes giving guests a little time to enjoy their meal, conversation, and drinks makes a bigger difference than having a perfectly cleared table.

I cannot believe I have never written a review for El Chilitos Mexican Restaurant. It's our go-to…read morefor Mexican take-out and yes, we order take-out once or twice a month, which in our house translates to "no cooking." What I always order (and I'm boringly consistent) is Two hard shell shredded beef tacos with rice and beans. The tacos always arrive with the perfect amount of meat, crisp lettuce, and a tasty amount of cheese. The shell stays crispy and never turns into a soggy tortilla which is a win! Rice is fluffy and well seasoned. The Beans are creamy, savory, and basically soul-warming! I can never finish the beans the portions are good. The Hubby gets the carne asada burrito, which is so huge it could double as a pillow after a long day. He swears it's delicious and I've "sampled" a bite and yes, the flavor is there, very satisfying. Chips and salsa come complimentary even with to-go orders! It's around $32 for my taco plate and the carne asada burrito is a bit more but you're getting a lot of goodness for your bucks. We always order take-out, and somehow - somehow - the food lands back home still warm. Magic? Maybe! We've never eaten in so I can't speak to the dine-in vibe. Reason being it is a tiny restaurant but it always looks clean and has a sitting area for to-go orders. My only tiny gripe when we call to place an order, there are moments where I'm on hold while the staff seem to have a full-blown conversation. Ten minutes later, they remember I'm on the line. It's not a deal breaker, just a "huh, okay" moment I file under "worth the wait for the fix." Bottom line: Expect satisfaction from El Chilitos. It's my dependable, no-surprises, "I'm craving comfort Mexican food" go-to. Consistent quality, reliable flavors, and a taxi-cab of a burrito. My pictures are horrible but I promise to eat there again and share more!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and they were pretty busy…read more I ordered carne asada tacos (can't go wrong with that) and chicharon tacos. And my boyfriend ordered a chicharon burrito. When ordering the lady asked my boyfriend if he was okay with cilantro, onions, rice okay in the burrito and he omitted the beans. One thing she never asked is we wanted hotsauce on the food. Because when I got my tacos and he got his burrito, it had hotsauce. I think this is something they should ask if you want when you are ordering. What if someone is ordering for a kid and they don't like hotsauce. I say this cos I don't like hotsauce. My boyfriend had to bring to back and they have new tacos with no hotsauce. Another thing that is a hit or miss here are the chicharon. Our chicharon was both crunchy and soft. I noticed it depends what time of day you go and you also know by how much chicharon they have left (you can see it on the display). I like how they have the toppings in a little bar where you can get (hot sauce, pickled jalapeños, cilantro and onions). It is a small restaurant. They have some seats indoor and outdoor. And they even have a tortilla lady in the corner making fresh tortillas.

This little hole in the wall taco shop is one of those spots you almost don't notice unless someone…read moretells you about it, but I'm glad I found it. The tacos are really good and packed with flavor, and the burritos are just as solid, big portions that actually fill you up without feeling overpriced. You definitely get your money's worth here, which is hard to find these days. One of the best parts is the salsa bar. They have a good variety of salsas, and all of them taste fresh and delicious, not watered down like some places. You can really customize your food depending on how spicy you like it. The only downside is there's no kids menu, so it might be tough if you have really picky eaters. But if you're just looking for good tacos, good burritos, fair prices, and a taco spot to grab a quick meal, this place is definitely worth checking out.
