I visited Reino 44 in Fontana a few months ago and ordered the green aguachiles. The flavor was good, and they were definitely spicy -- I enjoy spicy food, but these had enough heat that I needed a little break between bites. I was there enjoying them with a beer and good conversation. We were taking our time eating and enjoying our drinks; the aguachiles were not the only thing on our table. While we were still eating, someone from the kitchen came out and asked if he could take our plate. We politely said no thank you because we were still working on it. A few minutes later he came back and insisted on taking the plate, saying something along the lines of, "A clean table makes a consumer buy more," but the way it was said came across as rude and made us feel rushed. If the plate had been mostly empty, with just a couple of pieces left, I would have completely understood. But that wasn't the case -- I had only eaten about 2-3 shrimp out of a dozen. I shared how I felt, explaining that I understood clearing finished plates, but we were clearly not done. His response was dismissive and he walked away. The food had potential, and the aguachiles had good flavor, but the service experience left me disappointed. Sometimes giving guests a little time to enjoy their meal, conversation, and drinks makes a bigger difference than having a perfectly cleared table. read more

Came here for the first time and it will definitely be our last. They have a very minimal menu option for kids, the food isn't authentic and lacked flavor. We didn't even eat our food and everything went to waste. The agua Fresca was also not your typical natural agua Fresca. They up charge you for a syrup flavored watered down and call that an "agua Fresca". Very disappointing. The place is nice but that's about it. The server was very nice but could barely attend anyone because she's the only server here. We waited a long time to get our tab to pay. Not her fault tho. More like 3.5 stars! Came here for the chilaquiles poblanos, had them with carne asada and scrambled eggs. Everything was fresh and cooked well, and the carne asada was good, but the chilaquiles lacked flavor. The fried tortilla taste overpowered everything until I added a side of spicy green salsa, which made a huge difference. Sad because I was really looking forward to that poblano taste! Disappointed there was no queso fresco as listed on the menu, and crema could've been more evenly spread. It really doesn't need THAT much crema guys! Right off the freeway, they have an outdoor seating area but the air there smells a little ripe so I would t recommend sitting outside. The inside was cute like a bar new space. The music was like club music so loud- I almost asked them to turn down the conflicting sounds and tv it was just a lot. I know they are getting going with their new establishment, so we were patient. Until! Two more employees showed, one was right away helpful to his staff, the other was another story. We asked him if we could have little containers to go for our birria juice, he told us he was not on the "clock" yet. He walked by where those containers were are told the guy who just came in with him; to help us. We felt that was not polite, nor very "team" work ethic. I pretty much only ate the 5-6 shrimp. My husband and daughter on the other hand ordered the ribeye steak (medium rare) and they did enjoy it. So I placed an order for this plate a couple weeks ago, and as you can see, it was very badly made had no avocado. It was so dry. Had no sauce or green chili at all. The juice that you see in the picture is from all the lime, I had to add from my fridge and it was a very small portion. We paid $35 plus tax and a five dollar tip for this. When I called to make a complaint. They said the manager wasn't around they told me he would call me back so that I could get a refund or a replacement. They never did. I called him back. About three days later again. There was no manager on site and they said they would call me back again. It's been over a week and I haven't heard from them. I told him I would give them a chance to make it right before I gave them a bad review, but apparently they don't Care The first time I got this dish. It was good. Good portion and made right. And the sauce in the middle was way too tangy, not the right sauce for a molcajete. The drinks were HORRIBLE. Both the cucumber and passionfruit had no flavor or sweetness.
