If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!…read more I'm based in California and wanted to gift a wedding cake to my cousin who was getting married in Molalla , Oregon. I found The Cake Room on Yelp and reached out--and from the very beginning, Leslie was nothing short of incredible. Everything was handled entirely via text, and yet the process felt so smooth, easy, and incredibly personal. Out of all the bakeries I contacted, Leslie was the only one who responded promptly, honestly, and with true professionalism. That alone gave me confidence, but her warmth and attention to detail made the experience even more special. She walked me through everything with patience and clarity, offering ideas and suggestions that really helped bring my vision to life--even from hundreds of miles away. I never once felt stressed or uncertain. Leslie took care of it all seamlessly. And when it came to the cake itself--it was beyond perfect. Absolutely stunning in design and unbelievably delicious. My cousin and their guests were blown away. It was a true highlight of the wedding! Leslie is a rare gem: kind, communicative, reliable, and extremely talented. I can't thank her enough for making this such a joyful and effortless experience. If you're lucky enough to be local to Beaverton--don't think twice. The Cake Room is it. Thank you, Leslie, for everything. You made this gift feel just as special to give as it was to receive. Leslie offered to deliver and cut the cake for a small fee.

I also got a dairy free, gluten-free cupcake that was custom-made with frosting when I was there Today I got a couple pieces of chocolate since I was in the area. They were out of the dairy free gluten-free cupcakes. The owners here are really nice and friendly. There's street parking as well. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area. Do you know they are on the expensive side but they use higher quality ingredients. In my opinion, it's definitely worth it.

Yes, it's a little on the pricier side, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Everything tastes fresh, rich, and truly homemade. I tried the chocolate treats and a tea, and both were fantastic. We stopped by for a Saturday lunch, and were quite pleased with our visit…read more The entrance into the establishment is a complete bottleneck, but once you figure out bakery orders are on one side, and check-in for dining is on the other, it kind of makes sense -- its just a tight space when you also have patrons leaving. We were seated quickly -- it was a nice day, so we sat in their lovely outdoor dining area. They brought us room temperature waters (not a fan), and took our drink orders rather quickly. Service was good throughout our visit. I ordered the IPA Bacon Cheeseburger, which came (over)loaded with lots of fresh vegetables, a large burger patty, and the IPA mustard sauce. I don't want to complain about a burger being piled high with bacon, pickles, and fresh onions, lettuce, & tomatoes; but it was difficult to eat. While the Challah bun was delicious, it was woefully undersized for the task of holding it all together. I enjoyed it, but felt the IPA sauce was lost in the midst of everything else, and I also thought the burger patty was under-seasoned. I ordered fries as a side, and unfortunately they were the "battered" variety, which I just don't enjoy. Restaurants -- please, just serve normal French fries, without any batter on them! We knew from past experience that baked goods and desserts are really what La Provence is good at, so we ordered Tiramisu for dessert. Their very non-traditional take on this Italian classic would probably some people uneasy, but it was delicious. It had a dense chocolate cake base, with a thick layer of mascarpone mousse on top of that, then a topping of thin, crunchy, chocolate hazelnut ganache. Not too sweet, with a variety of textures to enjoy. We would definitely come back again, but I'd get something other than burger and fries.
