Chocolate, maple, coconut, citrus almond, glazed, vanilla, & churro doughnuts. Almond croissant and cookie dough croissants.

Ever since NOLA Doughnuts closed, we've really missed the croissant-doughnuts, so thought we'd try Too Sweet. We placed an online order for 12 items and got 11. (Not sure if they were out of cinnamon rolls or ours was just forgotten, but I logged a claim through Uber Eats and was reimbursed for the missing roll.) We ordered mostly doughnuts, along with some croissants and a sandwich cookie. The chocolate, maple, and churro doughnuts were our favorites. I wanted to love the coconut cream but it was a bit too sweet for me. The croissants were amazing - we got an almond croissant and the cookie dough croissant. An amazing combo!!! The only bummer was the cherry almond sandwich cookie. There was only the tiniest piece of cherry in the cookie. Overall, everything was really delicious and we'll definitely order again!

How Q is this place?! Nice, clean, open airy space w tons of seating. I've haven't found a place that makes Cronuts (croissant + donut) as good as my fave place in OC. TSC comes close. Although some of the ones w icing require more of a sweet tooth, I found the reg glazed and cheese cake flav on point. I stopped in on a Saturday near closing time and employee up front was sweet and bubbly. I wouldn't mind coming back to try savory options or seeing if they have my fave Cronut flav Nutella w strawberries.

3 Years later finally leaving a review. This business is tucked away in Lake O and hand makes everything! So things sell out quickly, which i consider to be a good thing. Its a great little spot for coffee and pastries and is worth trying.

Too Sweet Cakes is such a wonderful bakery in the neighborhood. The team members are super friendly, and the atmosphere is really relaxed. Their cupcakes are so delicious. We ordered Maple Croissant Doughnut, Ham & Swiss Croissant, Salted Caramel Bar, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcake, and a Vanilla Lattie. Retuned again to get another Ham & Swiss Croissant, and tried the Double Chocolate Cupcake, Red Velvet Cupcake, and Peppermint Cookies & Cream Cupcake. They are so good. Highly recommend: Ham & Swiss Croissant, Salted Caramel Bar, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcake.

We were seated quickly -- it was a nice day, so we sat in their lovely outdoor dining area. They brought us room temperature waters (not a fan), and took our drink orders rather quickly. Service was good throughout our visit. I ordered the IPA Bacon Cheeseburger, which came (over)loaded with lots of fresh vegetables, a large burger patty, and the IPA mustard sauce. I don't want to complain about a burger being piled high with bacon, pickles, and fresh onions, lettuce, & tomatoes; but it was difficult to eat. While the Challah bun was delicious, it was woefully undersized for the task of holding it all together. I enjoyed it, but felt the IPA sauce was lost in the midst of everything else, and I also thought the burger patty was under-seasoned. I ordered fries as a side, and unfortunately they were the "battered" variety, which I just don't enjoy. Restaurants -- please, just serve normal French fries, without any batter on them! We knew from past experience that baked goods and desserts are really what La Provence is good at, so we ordered Tiramisu for dessert. Their very non-traditional take on this Italian classic would probably some people uneasy, but it was delicious. It had a dense chocolate cake base, with a thick layer of mascarpone mousse on top of that, then a topping of thin, crunchy, chocolate hazelnut ganache. Not too sweet, with a variety of textures to enjoy. We would definitely come back again, but I'd get something other than burger and fries.

The plain croissant was unfortunately a miss for me--but the bacon & egg papillon was OMG delicious... so much so that I ended up buying three. No regrets!!! The Versaille, Tiramisu, and Marionberry cheesecake were all delish and absolutely worth trying. We also tried the beignet rocher, marionberry cheese croissant, everything-but-the-bagel croissant, peach papillon, and the kouign amann apple--so many fun options, and overall a great stop if you love pastries and want variety. Service was a little hit-or-miss. The first time I visited, the server seemed a bit grumpy - especially while I was placing a larger order, but on my return visit, a different server was noticeably friendlier... maybe because my order was a little smaller

At this point I've tried a number of things here and every one of them were delicious! The Japanese pancakes were so fluffy and fun, called ahead just to make sure they could make them right after opening but couldn't get through. THEY CALLED ME BACK IMMEDIATELY!! I have never had a food place care enough to actually call back if they miss a call. I was so happy with the pancakes too, nicely made and yummy. Their tiny cakes are all perfect too, I'm in love with each one especially the PDX rose! So bright and flavorful, with a beautiful outside that matches its taste! Can't forget the Japanese Cream Cheese Bun, it's soooooo good and the price matches the taste (aka good price for a good dessert). Not too sweet but still delicious! Just gotta make sure you eat it fresh, forgot to eat my last one for an hour and it got dry but still had its yummy taste. I super recommend this place!!

I added breakfast to this place while they visited me for a few days. We called in our order as instructed on the website. Unfortunately no Boba was available for on the pancakes. When we arrived I was disheartened to find the place rather small either intense heat of a bakery, which made the lone table inside with a meandering fly the least bit welcoming. When adding drinks to our order, the lone man working there asked me a few times whether I really was ordering coffee for a child (and yes, she settled on a mocha when it was determined he only knew how to sprinkle matcha powder on the pancakes, and hadn't a clue as to their application to drinks). My grandson ordered their 'special hot chocolate' which pretty much tasted like watered-down Ovaltine. We sat outside to eat and after a few bites and finding these were nothing like the fluffy Japanese pancakes they'd expected, we threw away $44 worth of what was supposed to be a pleasant breakfast experience. I guess this was a life lesson for the kids, that our expectations aren't always met. And I want to prevent any other adults from making the same mistake I did in taking my business there!
