Be Aware - The $89 service fee is "only to get the plumber to the door". As quoted by the plumbing manager Steve. I had a tub drain that was draining slowly and had 24-7 come out, I could tell that this was just a drain stopper clogged up with hair. Steve told me the stopper was seemed stuck and he wouldn't be able to do any work unless I approved the estimate which stated "Clear clog with no drain machine" for $288! I questioned them about the service fee. It does not include any service - They should call it an estimate fee. I had a handyman come out and he took out the stopper and cleaned the hair there. It works great. I wouldn't be disappointed if they just took 10 mins to clean out the hair. Jason L from 24-7 Plumbing stated they waived the $89 fee on his response to my review. But that did not happen. I tried calling to confirm but no one has returned my calls. It's not honest to say something here in this forum and not do it. read more

I thought long and hard about leaving this review considering the owner seems to be somewhat reactive in his responses, but figured I always use yelp to find the best of the best, and my fellow yelpers deserve to know my experience as well. So here we go. We had a toilet that wasn't filling in our rental. It was Sunday night of all times for this to happen and not something I could hold off until Monday unless my guest didn't use the toilet. So... I checked out yelp to find an emergency plumber in the area. I wasn't sure if it was the shut off valve that was leaking or the fill valve was defective. So, Yes, I could have gone to Home Depot to get the parts which would have totaled about $30 MAX. But, figured I'd get an expert in who could do it quickly. I checked yelp and saw that seriously 24/7 had some pretty good reviews, however several mentions to them being expensive. Like, obscenely expensive. I figured, Aside from the $159 emergency fee, how bad could it really be for parts that cheap? I called and the lady taking my call was pleasant and they got someone out about 1.5 hours later. The cost would be $159 plus any work to be done. The guys who came were friendly enough, and then they hit me with the cost. This is where the I almost fell over. They wanted $587 to replace the fill valve (nothing wrong with the water shut off). Or, they could replace the toilet for me for $1200? Are you actually kidding me? Seriously they were not. Since I already had $159 invested in this, a couple of hours of wait and a renter waiting for me, it didn't make sense for me to then head to Home Depot for my parts on a Sunday night and have it take any more time. For God sakes I could have gotten a whole toilet and a ring and replaced it myself for $150 if I had another hour. Seriously disgusted, I agreed to that price and in 10 minutes my problem was fixed. Oh great, it comes with a year warranty! Awesome, considering I could always replace it for $15 if i needed. (Looked up the exact part at any box store). Glad I have a functioning toilet but don't be like me and think to yourself "how bad can it actually be?"Because it will be worse. Super super helpful! I had a kitchen sink that would not drain and if you haven't realized how much you use your kitchen sink, try not using it for dinner prep and clean up and then you'll have a whole new appreciation for your sink like I do. I messaged out for emergency service plumbing and they were here and fixed the issue within in 2 hours! I felt safe when they were in my house, which might seem like an odd piece to review, but as a woman I find that to be extremely important when someone has to come in your house. I did have my two dogs in a room though barking the whole time, but I think I would have felt safe even if the dogs were barking. $300+ per hour??? I was charged $814 to replace a $150 garbage disposal. That equates to ~$650 labor charge for approx. 1-1/2 to 2 hours' labor. Good service, but expensive. Moral of the story: Why waste money on medical school when you can charge rates like that for being a plumber. read more

They were very responsive to my request. I didn't give them a good value because when I inquired about the visit they were going to charge me $99 for the visit and assessment. Which was the highest of the company's I spoke with. They wouldn't give me that $99 dollar credit if I selected them to do the work. However the other 2 companies I contacted would give me the assessment cost credit if I chose them. I didn't choose them to perform the work so I cannot speak to their quality. read more

OF COURSE my sump pump went out on a Sunday and flooded my crawl space. I called "Seriously 24/7" and Brittney(?) sent out Antonio and his assistant Jacob right away. They were polite, extremely professional, educated, and explained everything in layman's terms. They installed a new pump and the water drained quickly. A few weeks later, the pump stopped working and I called Seriously 24/7 and Brittney sent the two back out immediately. The switch was faulty and was quickly replaced - no charge of course. My rating is for the business not the guy doing the work. Emergency call. I know that's expensive but price was shocking! Then I was told had to pay up front. I questioned the policy. I said I would be glad to pay as soon as the work was done. That was unacceptable to them. Owner Jason called me and essentially told me that I was the problem, that he has never, ever (100% of the time) had anyone remotely question payment up front. Now he's either been in business for a week (which does not appear to be the case) or he's lying. He had me over a barrel and he was willing to take advantage of me. He told me he would just have his guys leave. Not wanting to inconvenience anyone I begrudgingly agreed to payment up front because I could challenge a credit card charge if necessary. He then sent me an estimate to do work that said "this is an estimate but not a guarantee of all the fees. I agree to pay any and all fees for project". I chose not to sign. The on site guy did the work IN LESS THAN 20 MINUTES and charged me almost $500! I understand emergency premiums but this reaches to the level of obscene pricing. If you call this place, do so at your own peril. They might care about plumbing and their own bank account but they sure as hell don't care about you or what you think. Around 10:30pm on the Thursday night before memorial day weekend my plumbing backed up. After searching on Yelp, I picked Seriously 24/7 because of the star rating, the reviews and they were a local business and I wanted to support local businesses. I actually live less than 20 minutes away. I called thinking I would leave a message and I would get a return call the next morning. It was surprising to have someone answer the phone so late, but then their name is 24/7. They offered to send someone out that night, but the normal $89 service charge would be $139, so I elected to wait since I was given an 8:00-10:00am appt. Since this is during COVID-19, I was asked if I wanted the technician to wear a mask, which I said, yes. At 7:39am I received a call and a text message with a picture of the technician, Dan, who was coming. AWESOME!! By 8:27am, when my technician still had not arrived, I called and had to leave a message, but my technician arrived a few minutes later. Actually, two technicians arrived, hmmm. It was mainly the second tech, Antonio, who did the work, don't know why two were sent, that is until I got the bill, it was $270, to clear out a drain. I was stuck, needed this done now, did not know if I could get someone else out that day, as well as I had a cleaning person to coming and sterilize after the work was finished. Seeing my panic over the cost the technicians offered to use the camera to look through my drain pipe, which I agreed. They had to go back to the shop to retrieve the camera and was back within 15 minutes. Bottom line is, Seriously 24/7 lived up to the reviews, worked efficiently and cleanly, and their technicians were polite and courteous, I should have realized the price would be high, but honestly $270. Maybe they could charge less if they would send out one tech for a one tech job. Since they did use a camera to look through my drain, I feel the charged price covered the drain cleaning and the use of the camera. Additionally, their payment system asked if I wanted to tip! Have never seen that before Would I recommend Seriously 24/7 Plumbing and would I use them again, my answer is the same for both, only as a last resort. Update: it has been a week since I spoke with Jason at Seriously 24/7, and sorry it has taken me this long to post an update. Jason was affable and extremely concerned about my issue, he even thanked me for my review. To have an owner so concerned and attentive to his customers as well as his staff, it's understandable why the customer service at Seriously 24/7 is so good. Concerning the cost of my drain clearing, well it's understandable and Jason explained it was not the cost of sending two technicians (one was in training). Guess you can attribute my displeasure in the cost in my wanting to save money )I'm retired, can't blame me on being thrifty). Silly me to assume they would try and solve the problem. If the pipe was busted shouldn't he give an estimate to fix it? All that being said, the owner called to check with me about my experience. I was glad with quick timing and communication regarding how soon tech would arrive etc. however: I told them over the phone that my home was Red Tagged by Gas company (shut off) ...I said I need someone to figure problem out tonight hopefully -receptionist is polite and says that they can come out and assess the issue and determine where leak is tonight-and fix issue tonight as long as no foundational digging is needed...there is a $139 fee for coming and figuring out your situation. I say ok great and set apt. The tech arrives (but salesman is better description) and he comes in, asks where leak is-we say we have no idea .. he takes pictures with iPad of every gas pipe/fittings and says "yeah I mean it's "to code" but it all needs replaced, if you want to find where your gas leak is its $989 for diagnostics and then cost to fix. I had read the positive reviews and had hoped that I found a Company that would address my needs. I own a rental property and the tenant had called and said the basement floor drain had backed up. It wasn't raw sewage, but more rainwater. I have had issues over the years with tree roots getting into the sewer lines. I do have a sump pump system in place so there was only about a half-inch of water on the floor, and it did not even cover the entire basement floor. The tech came out and called me. He told me that I had to first pump all the water out of the basement before they would clean the drain. He suggested a restoration company come in to perform the work. I was charged $89 for the service call. The tech said if they came out after the water was pumped out, the Company would deduct $89 off the clean-out bill. I don't understand the Company's standards. If you have a backup, isn't that why you call them out? Do all of their jobs have to be perfect with no standing water before they start? I guess they were satisfied with making $89 for simply showing up and telling me their requirements to perform the job. I've never heard of a drain service company requiring all the water to be removed before they start. How many drain service companies arrive on a job and expect all the water has been removed?
