I have been pleased everytime I visit any one of their three restaurants in Baton Rouge. They are located on Coursey in the same area as the neighborhood Walmart, Perkins Rd. on the southwest corner, and on Highland Rd. just west of the railroad tracks. The quality of their food iscomparable with the other Greek restaurants in the area. They only have counter service and the surroundings do not compare to some of the fancier places. Their price is lower enough to cover that. read more

I usually love Serops Express and went to this location often, so I was looking forward to my regular selections for a great and easy dinner after a long day. I took a big bite of a falafel ball with great anticipation and could hardly chew it because it was so hard, and hardly swallow it because it was so dry! The creamed spinach didnt have any flavor or creamy sauce. The lebanese tea tasted like unsweet tea with a little lemon in it.... thankfully the gyro meat was good and so was the babaganoush. I don't know what happened tonight... I hope it was only a one time mess up, not a regular practice. read more

I have always been a Serop's Express fan, because it's usually always solidly good and fresh. My favorite (most consistent that I've found) location is Perkins and Bluebonnet. Unfortunately, this location is hit or miss. A lot of times I find the feta salad either underdressed or overdressed. I find that the creamed spinach is lacking something--mint or dill spice? It's not always underwhelming, and the price/value, when the food is fresh, well-seasoned and on point, and the speed of service is what keeps me returning. read more

Great mouthfeel! It feels really good in the mouth. The sautéed eggplant had a really good mouthfeel. The hummus didn't feel as tremendous in my mouth as the stuffed eggplant. Good value for such a big mouthfeel. So nice I went through the drive through twice. read more

Went here with my friend, it was very clean and you definitely get a huge portion. The dressing on the salad is creamy instead of a vinaigrette like arzis. I definitely prefer vinaigrette. It's common knowledge that Serop's is the worst of the Greek restaurants in Baton Rouge. However, they are also the cheapest, and that was their one saving grace. I would hit the drive-through here once or twice a week because it was a relatively cheap and light lunch. However, the service at this location in particular has gotten so bad that I just cannot bring myself to spend another dime here, or any other Serop's location for that matter. I ordered the combination plate (to go) and all the food was just piled on top of itself. Rice and peas on the bottom, topped by meat, topped by salad. I was craving Greek tonight and had my very funny but very fussy son with me so I needed to get something quick. I knew Serop's Express was close to us and decided to give it a try. The drive thru was incredibly quick and I was in and out in 2 seconds. When I got home with my food my mouth was watering. I was ready to dig in to my Greek goodness. The gyro meat was very good. The chicken was a bit salty in my opinion, but I'm from the Midwest originally and they don't know what salt or seasoning is for the most part so it probably isn't their fault. Just my tastebuds. The rice pilaf was excellent and the tzatziki sauce was amazing. I am a tzatziki fanatic so when a place gets it right, I am overjoyed. The Greek salad was overdressed and the lettuce got very soggy but I did like the dressing. Overall this place is great for a quick fix for a Greek craving.
