This was the first spot I checked out while in the city. It's easy to find after a brief walk around the park. Big open windows for nature lighting. Plenty of outdoor patio seating to relax next to the lake and feel the cold breeze. It was empty when I first got there, so the staff allowed me to pick my own table. The Shakshuka was delicious full of flavor. Perfect for those who want to avoid eating meat in the morning. Unfortunately they forgot my tea. People after me were already getting their drinks before me. I had to remind them they forgot me order. Sort of soured my experience here. But still nice place to try out.

The ambiance of the place is fantastic and the food was equally delicious. You seat yourself but there are so many tables and the service was quick and super easy. One of the best margaritas I've had too!

After walking Hyde Park we needed a rest so we stopped in here for ice cream. The girl refused to give us half of one flavor and half of another. We settled on Rocky Road and it was far too sweet--never mind she gave us barely a scoop. On the plus side, this place has an amazing view and lots and lots of seats, plus restrooms.

Extremely busy restaurant but T least they got enough staff to keep the turn over quick and tidy! We got a chicken pizza and a prawn/avocado salad. In summary, chicken pizza lacked chicken, and the avocado salad had 2 visible pieces of avocados that was about a tea spoon size. Flavour was good, but when you basically didn't get what you ordered, you can't really give a good score. Yes it was a tat pricy too. At least the view of nice.

A nice surprise On this hot day we did spend a bunch of hours in Hyde Park. Naturally we got hungry after a while and this place was closest to us. Location couldn't be better, with great views of The Serpentine (at least outside). There is a good number of seats outside and a lot more inside. We travelled with our dog, so an outdoor seat was our choice (no dogs inside - but why sit inside anyways). It was really packed and no seats availabe. The waitrees helped us looking for table, which was nice. We kept looking when she came back after a while pointing us to an available table. That was really nice, especially given how busy it was that day. Kudos to the staff! We ordered a pint, a summer berries cider and a Rucola / Prosciutto Pizza. Service again was friendly and pretty fast too. Drinks were nice and cold and - for London - fairly priced. The Pizza was a good choice, good flavours and fresh ingredients. Nice twist with the Rucola on top. We didn't expect much from this Restaurant. But we were positively surprised by the really nice staff and the food quality.

Shucks kids I'm updating a review in London for the 2nd time! This is weird. I feel weird. Anywaaaayyyyy Serpentine is fantastic. Their pizzas are bangin' and you order food at the front. If you want takeaway they've got a lovely variety of sandwiches for your convenience. But seriously get the pizza. It's bangin'. That's such a weird word.

Bought four 99s (vanilla soft serve ice cream cone with a Cadbury Flake bar) here on an outing to Hyde Park. They tasted great and it's a must-do while visiting London and Hyde Park but they are definitely overpriced.

I am surprised no one has given this place a 5 star rating yet! I cannot think of a better place to go in London than Serpentine on a beautiful summer evening! It has the perfect ingredient to have a great time - Located in the center of lush green Hyde Park, brilliant outdoor seating area by the serpentine river, the most beautiful place to sit and watch the sun set, great pizza, Pimms Pitchers and great crowd! I mean what else can one possibly ask for from a restaurant? I have been here on several occasions and also hosted my birthday party here last year and it is always a pleasure coming back here. In my last visit yesterday when the sun finally decided to shine on London after a long wait, Serpentine was packed and yet the service was so fast and the spicy pepperoni pizza couldn't taste any better along with my Pimm's Pitcher! The price is very decent for its location and quality, I mean come on its Hyde Park are you expecting brick lane price here? Verdict: I am in love with this place and will continue to be till it stands tall and beautiful in the middle of Hyde Park! P.S Do try their cakes, they are delicious!

On the eve of Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday, I found myself enjoying a romantic second date in the picturesque, centuries old, Hyde Park. After my barrel-o-laughs Brazilian beau and I spent a good amount of time soaking up vitamin D from an uncharacteristically sunny day, we set out on an excursion to diffuse our hunger pains. Tucked away in the rolling green hillside was none other than Serpentine Bar and Kitchen. Instantly familiar with the site, my guy informed me that he'd once visited Serpentine with his mom. Nearly faint from starvation, we decided to dine in. I was initially impressed with the overall structure of the building. The inconspicuous architectural design, which almost appears to have been chiseled from the lakeside by process of mechanical erosion, can best be described as an aesthetically pleasing contemporary chameleon. Spacious enough to accommodate hundreds of visitors, Serpentine offers 360 degree views of Hyde Park for indoor diners. Lunch al fresco immerses guests in a sea of bluebells, as well as a variety of trademark British foliage and landscapes. After placing our orders, my guy and I waited for our server at table number 3. (Tables are numbered, which reduces confusion for patrons and staff alike) I was satisfied with my choice of thin crust vegetable pizza with rosemary fries. I went out on a limb and decided to wash everything down with my very first ginger beer. While recovering from Fentimans unrelenting roundhouse kick, I sat and enjoyed my beau savour every morsel of his open faced steak sandwich and more than a few of my rosemary fries. Overall, Id highly recommend a meal at Serpentine to anyone who finds themselves in Hyde park in the near or distant future.

I think every American mother/daughter duo was checking this place out for lunch or high tea. We did this over the more pricey high tea, but that certainly looked like a good time as well. That dining room was gorgeous. The food was pretty good. Nothing that absolutely blew my socks off, except for the strawberry dessert. Everything was certainly well done, though. Those damn English scones were some of the best I've ever had - clotted cream and jam! Heavenly. Dinner in the Gallery was fun and delish as well. We started with the Korean tofu dumplings + beetroot carpaccio, both were light, perfectly seasoned and lovely starters. Mushroom arancini with carrot ginger coconut broth was well balanced and craveable. Cod brandade was delicious as well but a bit heavy, could only eat half. Pistachio chocolate peanut ganache was the perfect end to a lovely meal. It's a visual spectacle in the best way, and service was lovely as well. I wasn't sure if it could live up to the IG hype but it was fun and delicious!

The restaurant is gorgeous as well but what really makes the entire experience is the staff. From the host to the waitstaff, everyone was beyond lovely and kind. Special shout outs to Jacob from NY and Bella from Vancouver BC that were just the best. We started with the artichokes and radishes, both of which were lovely. We grabbed dinner reservations for 8:00 pm and were seated at a really cute booth by the kitchen pass area. I got the shiso spritz and my husband tried a couple of their mocktails which he enjoyed thoroughly. Foodwise, we got the crispy aubergine tops, sprouting broccoli, tropea onions, potatoes with creme fraiche and the mixed grill mushroom. The two standouts were the aubergine tops and the tropea onions where I was really ready to LICK THE PLATE. The onions with the ricotta were seasoned to perfection with just a bit of spice. The aubergine was breaded and fried to cronchy heaven and I could eat a bucket of these if they were presented to me. The potatoes were good but needed a touch more seasoning; and the broccoli was also a great dish but paled in comparison to the stars. The mixed mushroom main was good but not our favorite as the seasoning blend on them became a tad overwhelming for us as we ate. Dessert wise, we grabbed the miso caramel which was delicious. Service was super friendly and efficient. 10/10 you HAVE to try this place if you are in the area (or you know, trek out a bit if you're not :P) You will not regret this meal, trust me.

My starter, a classic duck terrine, kept the bar high: rich, expertly balanced, and beautifully presented. Then the meal truly took flight. The first main, the scallops, delivered a masterclass in flavor layering. Perfectly fresh and tender, they shimmered in a buttery sauce lifted by XO--comforting yet sophisticated, familiar yet inventive. A clear sign that Wild Honey takes its seafood seriously. But the dish that justified every whisper of Michelin-level praise was the venison. The cut itself was exceptional, but the execution was transcendent. Succulent texture, bold flavor, and a wild, almost ethereal depth--the contrast felt magical. Each bite was delicate yet powerful, like walking through an entire landscape of woodland aromas and game-forward richness in a single mouthful. Truly breathtaking. The signature custard sealed the evening with quiet elegance--silky, balanced, and deeply satisfying. A perfect finale to a Christmas night dinner we won't soon forget. Wild Honey delivered not just a meal, but a memory. Five stars, without hesitation.

It was perfectly cooked and came with a small cauliflower steak and frisée salad. There was nothing wrong with the sirloin steak, but as a British server in another restaurant once told me: an American should not order steak in a British restaurant. The cheese selection was excellent. Service was mostly fantastic but a letdown at the end. A server asked me I wanted port with the cheese. I said "yes." He put down a class, returned, and poured a glass of Taylor's 10. I remember thinking, this is okay but the 20 would have been nicer. When the bill arrived, I was charged for Taylor 20 instead of 10. It's only a few quid difference but the charge should be correct. I pointed this out to the server. He said he would check with the sommelier. When he returned he said I was served the Taylor 20. I had seen the bottle of 10-year with my own eyes but it seemed needless to argue. It was a disappointment after an otherwise excellent meal. Even if they thought I was wrong, they should have refunded the four or five pound difference off a check that was nearly 300 quid.

Thankfully, a friend tracked one down in Mayfair and we ended up at Gordon Ramsay's Heddon Street Kitchen. The restaurant was busy and trendy, with a lively vibe that still worked well for families, especially with their ice cream bar. Kids eat free on weekdays, which is a nice touch. Unfortunately, the service didn't quite match the energy of the room - our fries were forgotten, and our food took over 45 minutes to arrive, which even the staff acknowledged. What we tried: * Beef Wellington - Beautiful presentation, but it fell apart once we sliced into it. The beef itself wasn't as tender as we were hoping for, especially given the hype and the name on the door. * Tofu Poke Bowl - A rich aioli tied everything together nicely. The cucumbers added a refreshing crunch that kept it closer to the original poke concept. * Sea Bream - Generous portion size, but the fish was overcooked and turned out quite dry. * Kids' Mac and Cheese - Surprisingly excellent. It looked almost soupy at first glance, but the sauce was actually very creamy and cheesy, and the kids liked it enough to ask for seconds. * Kids' Meatball Pasta with Tomato Sauce - The pasta and sauce were solid, but the meatballs were dry, as if they'd been overcooked or left too long. The kids did get to enjoy the ice cream bar and loved being able to pick whatever their wild imaginations desired. Overall, with the long wait times, missed items, and some overcooked dishes, the experience fell short of what I'd expect from a Ramsay restaurant. I wanted to be blown away, especially by the Beef Wellington, but left feeling underwhelmed.
