First off, I was stuck in Wrightwood on a Winter day where there was minor snow and cold weather with marginally icy road conditions and my car wasn't operational. I was about 100 miles from home. I tried calling my auto insurance company for roadside assistance, and they informed me due to the location, I was a low priority and unless I was in need of medical attention or there was a true crisis that would necessitate calling an ambulance or police, that they'd not be able to come assist me that day and not until the next day at earliest. That in-itself was disheartening and disturbing, especially since I already had reservations about who they might use as their in-network towing company. With that, I couldn't wait, and had to move onto another option. My first thought was... Look up "Towing" on YELP since Yelp typically does the homework and research for you through evaluating customer reviews for the pros and cons, good, bad and ugly of every business listed. Immediately, I saw Serrato's at the near top of the list on YELP and with the highest average rating. I read the only 1 poor review of Serrato's and if you look at that reviewer, you'll notice he only has that 1 review to his profile, usually that's an indicator of a Yelper that's off-kilter, and not really a reliable nor credible source. So, I'd speculate he's one of these complainers who can never be pleased and his experience with Serrato's isn't indicative of what the strong majority of other customers have experienced if you read the other reviews. I called up Serrato's and spoke with Tony, he's the owner. He was very friendly and pleasant on the phone. I told him my situation and he patiently listened and provided me with his professional opinion for free, no hustle nor hassles. I wanted to get my car towed to the nearest mechanic that was close by that was open, which happened to be about 40 miles away. He said he could do it and told me the price, which sounded fair given the time and distance. He told me he'd be able to get to me within an hour, which was acceptable since Hesparia is about 30 miles out from Wrightwood. Tony arrived, along with his son, Tony Jr. They came with professionalism and had all of the right equipment. Unlike many other towing services that might drag your car by lifting the front and rolling it on the back wheels, Serrato's has a flat bed they put your car onto, so it's safely lifted and resides above the ground, never touching the road, so you don't incur any damages to the car or mileage nor wear and tear on your tires. It's the best way to tow a car, and they said they can hoist a car from nearly any position, including in tight parallel parking spots if sandwiched. Prior to their arrival, I was pondering whether I should change the plans from going 40 miles, halfway to my home where my regular auto mechanic is, or doing this dropoff to a random garage where I'd have to come back a great distance to retrieve my car if I had to leave it there for service. So, I spoke with Tony upon his arrival and proposed to him the idea of taking my car the full 100 miles from where I was at to where I wanted to be. He quoted me a price and we discussed it and I decided, although it obviously costs more, at the end of the day, it's worth it and gets my car to where I want it to be without any future hassles. He hooked up my car onto the flatbed and it took about 2 hours to complete the journey, and I was a passenger in the tow truck. He was such a friendly conversationalist as was his son, I sort of felt as if I were on a road trip with a bunch of buddies chatting about random life experiences and fun stories. I must say, it was a very pleasant trip, and sort of sad to see it end. He brought my car to my mechanic then drove me to my residence, and we even took photos together. If you need a towing service, you'd be doing yourself a great favor by at least calling Serrato's, even if you're calling others, to get a price comparison or see if they're available for what you need. If you think what you need, as I did with a 100 mile tow, could be hard to find affordably and conveniently, as I did, you'd be very relieved, as I was, by talking with Tony and Serrato's. I think I'm the first Yelp Gold Elite member to review Serrato's, I believe, let alone any Yelp Elite, so I take my business reviews seriously. I was stranded around 2am on a Sunday and was not able to find towing that can haul my dually. My truck broke down in South El Monte and I needed a tow back to Hesperia. AAA was giving me the runaround all morning. It was around 7am when I decided to take matters into my own hands and called around. Well, I have to admit I was heartely surprised Friday night after being completely abandoned by AAA auto club and my "so called" premium plus roadside assistance membership and, they never sent anyone. So, I found this company on my own and contacted them to tow my disabled van back to Orange County to have it repaired. I need to give a HUGE~GIANT shout out to Tony!!  My car overheated and I was stuck on Cajon Pass so called AAA to tow me home to Diamond Bar and after waiting 3 1/2 hours and 8 calls later to AAA (mind you AAA NEVER called me to let me know what was going on, I had to keep calling them) on the 7th call I was finally told they can't find a driver to take me that far and suggested I find my own tow company and pay them direct and AAA will reimburse me (YA and how long would that take), So I googled tow companies and found GREAT reviews for Serrato's and Tony answered, he gave me great advice to call AAA back and suggested I speak to a supervisor and inform AAA he has a driver on standby that can pick me up and take me home, so I did call AAA and of course they wouldn't set this up.  Tony even texted me back to make sure I was OK and if I made it home OK.  I ended up driving myself home as I figured after over 3 1/2 hours of sitting my car had cooled off by now.  God Bless you Tony words can't say how much I appreciated everything and the fact I wasn't a client of yours and you made NO money off me you still took the time to help me out and make sure I was OK unlike good ole AAA that left a single women on the side of a busy FWY for over 3 1/2 alone at night read more

Man where do I begin... first off Thank You to Tony for his quality and efficient response to my towing Emergency. One of my service trucks got stuck in the dirt on the way to a customer in Oak Hills. I called this towing company and the guy told me they would be there in approximately 15 minutes to pull the truck out. I left my office which is 5 minutes away to met my tech (who was driving the stuck truck) and the tow truck driver. Shorty after I arrived the tow truck arrived. It was within the 15 mins ETA he gave me on the phone. It is unheard of for a tow truck company to show up so quickly. Usually they tell you one to two hours. I had an incident the other day where I was stuck in a hotel parking lot because a car was parked illegally behind me, blocking me from any way of exiting. I called about a dozen tow truck drivers to help me out. Since the hotel was on private property, it was impossible for anyone to move it even the sherif denied moving it! I was thinking I was stuck there but I had to get back to a town named chico which is approximately 9 hours away. I called this place and Tony was the ONLY one who even came to check the issue out! Recently I had to rely on Serrato's towing to tow my car back to my house. When I waited for Tony l was panicked and didn't know what happened to my car. I waited no longer than 25 min (he's in Hesperia, I was in Apple Valley.) and Tony was able to show me why my car stopped accelerating and even got my car working! This was such a huge relief. He still towed my car back home since I was nervous about driving it without replacing with a new part. Serrato's Towing are a god send. Not only did they tow us out of our predicament, they continued to help us above and beyond what was expected. When they left our truck in the Pilot parking lot, because it was a weekend and everything was closed, they kept an eye on it by driving by making sure that it was safe and secure. Since our truck engine had completely seized they immediately started researching and calling around to find a good mechanic that could get us fixed up and back on the road. We ultimately decided to buy a new truck rather than repair it. Even then they continued to help us and make sure that we had all the help we needed. We had a lot custom configurations on our old truck such as roof racks, truck cap, bumper guard etc. which all needed to be transferred over. The Serrato's kept helping us when they could have just left us to fend for our own in the Pilot parking lot, in a strange town, but they didn't. I cannot say enough about these guys. Tony is the prime example of a stand up guy. I was needing to tow my car from Victorville to my mechanic in Riverside (50+ Miles) and instead of just booking my tow he took his time to ask me what was wrong with my car and gave me his honest opinion that it would most likely be less of an expense if I took my car to a local shop. He then recommended a good mechanic in the area which I had him tow my car to and it came out to being a great money saver! Wow, what a day... But at least I was mobile, until I had a blow out. Not good, Lowered Stance Audi. No spare, no wheel lock key, short on cash... These two life savers, came, jacked up the car, realized my predicament, contacted everyone they knew to find me a spare or used tire, when that all failed, these guys went back home got their PERSONAL automobiles spare tire, loaned it to me, put it on in the pitch dark, aired up all my other tires just in case, gave me directions to a cheap motel, the business card of a tire shop, their business card, and there home address to drop off their personal spare... I was towing a trailer behind my Isuzu Trooper to Las Vegas from So Cal when just past the Cajon Pass in Hesperia my Trooper broke down. I needed to get my Trooper and trailer home. Wish I could post voicemail and copy and paste text so people could see what they're dealing with. Not at all a good tow company. I called him out to my home to pick up 5 vehicles what turned into an estimate to pick up five vehicles, turned into a $100 fee. I explained that I was going to have him come back and remove those five vehicles. Within 24-hours, I've been called a thief, I've been called a cheat, I've been told that he knows my kind although he never picked up any vehicle of mine but he still wants to make me pay for a service that he did not complete. It was supposed to be a free estimate that turned into him trying to strong arm extort money out of me. Nonetheless, when I call to make the payment, he refuses to take it and says, "you need it more than I do." Not at all a good business. Since then again within 24 hours I have texted him to make payment I have called him and been told each and every time that he will not accept my payment that he does not need it from me that I need it more than him. My son and I were traveling from Hesperia to Anaheim yesterday in the pouring rain and fast winds. As we were coming out of the Cajon pass another motorist gets my attention to tell me I have a flat tire. I pull off at the next exit which is Sierra Ave in Fontana into a gas station. Just as my sick teen son was fumbling and pulling out the spare tire a man pulls up and offers to change the flat tire and check the other tires and air them if needed for a nominal fee. My son was very sick and had never changed a tire before and I had no clue how to take off a flat tire and put on the spare. Although I have Lexus roadside service I was in no mood to wait for their service person to come and help us. Tony hooked us up in record time so we could get home out of the cold and pouring rain. Serrato's came out in the middle of the night and towed us off the side of the road when no one else would. Our truck engine seized up en-route to Denver, leaving us stranded in a very bad and risky situation. This was complicated by a power failure to the Superjack. The result; we could not unhitch my 34 ft Airstream for towing. The police also stopped by just to ratchet up the tension. I did not want my trailer impounded! Up all night trying to get someone to help us resolve the situation, we were exhausted and apprehensive. When they arrived, Tony Sr greeted me brightly with a reassuring smile. He went to work with his Son, helping us solution the Superjack problem and then gently winched the dead truck out of the Hitch and onto the Flatbed. No shops were open on the weekend so he towed it home where he could keep an eye on it. He towed my beloved Airstream carefully into a nearby RV Park and tucked her in there. I was extremely nervous but Tony Jr. had a calming manner about him with his confidence and disarming smile. He told me stories about their work, which helped me relax. We paid them and they left, and then we seriously did not know what to do next. We had to get to our new job in about a week, in Denver! Tony Sr was already one step ahead of us. He was up early the next morning giving us options on how we could get repaired and back on the road. He located a good service shop for us and hunted down options for a rebuilt engine. We decided to buy a new truck. But now we had a new set of problems. How to get all of the off-road equipment transferred over. But, with these guys, there are no problems there are only solutions. He immediately found me a Buyer for my truck - his brother. Tony Jr pleasantly negotiated the deal with me for a fair price for my old truck. He then worked with the buyer to orchestrate a swift and efficient removal and transfer of all components to my new truck. The Serrato family had us completely taken care of and back on the road just in time to make it to our new job in Denver! The Serrato's offer Towing and Roadside service. What we got was total professionalism, kindness, honesty, and people who genuinely cared about our well being. The Serrato's are proud of the fact they do not take advantage of people In distress. Quite the opposite; they became increasingly generous with us as we forged a deep friendship. Tony Sr and Tony Jr are Heroes to us.
