I'm a new customer of Mascoma bank and am nothing but disappointed with their products. The…read more"Debit" card they gave me works some of the time, but usually not on-line. My mastercard works everywhere the Mascoma card won't. Mascoma was recommended to my by my Investment Firm counselor. I've NEVER had this much trouble with a credit card nor a bank before. I'll be looking for a banking system that works.

You can't successfully complete…read moreanything online due to their set up- I think is a ploy to get people to go into a physical branch, which 98% of the population do not want to do, and it annoys the crap ou t of us. They do not have lobby hours on the weekend - how convienent since most people work all week and now we have to take time off to come in to a place we did not want to go in the first place because the online banking is absolute crap. They keep updating and changing their apps - so much so that ACHs that I personally set up in the old system are now permanent and uneditable, and you can't stop or adjust them unless you want to pay the bank 30 bucks per transaction. I do not recommend using this bank EVER.

They are a bit unforgiving with their fees, and they don't have any ATMs except at the bank itself (and recently that one was broken). But really, the fact that they are a small, local bank outweighed any shortcomings for me until I experienced the snippy & superior attitude of the branch manager. I'm closing my account & I wouldn't recommend this bank to anyone.

Mallory the bank teller led me on a wild goose chase. My mother passed away, left the key to a…read morelockbox. I show up with the key and Mallory tells me i need a death certificate. I come back later with a death certificate and she tells me I need to petition the probate court to get access to the lock box, even though I am the executor of the will, have the key and my Moms death certificate. As a result of Mallory not knowing her business, I wasted a day while mourning, running around and accomplished nothing, while being no closer to knowing if the lockbox contains information on my Moms burial wishes. As a 20 year customer of citizens bank, I am extremely disappointed that the bank would employ someone with no knowledge, say nothing about her cold and careless delivery.

For some reason this bank has been unable to provide the executor of the decedent's account with…read morechecking account statements needed for a Probate Inventory. Months have gone by. Was told the account was purged from their system?? A request to send the information to the Executor has been ignored despite providing them with a death certificate and Probate Court Notice of Appointment of Executor. I'd love to understand what is going on.
