I've had Stevenson come to my house for different plumbing jobs, insulation and installation of an attic fan. All the jobs have been perfect, except for the attic fan install. After calling Stevenson back, they sent out Joseph to diagnose and resolve the issue, which turned out to be a bad bearing in the fan itself, no fault of Stevenson in the first place. Joseph ordered the part and came back out a few days later - now everything is running perfectly again. Joseph called and showed up right at the start of the scheduled availability window, wore a mask when interacting with me and made sure not to track any dirt or debris into the house. I've always received prompt and courteous service from Stevenson's, and I will continue to give them my business. read more

In 2023 we paid $17,000 for a new full HVAC system. I'm extremely disappointed in how this system has turned out. The technicians are great but so far the product has been a major disappointment. Within the first 16 months our AC stopped working and we needed to replace the indoor and outdoor fan motors and inducer assemblies. The warranty covered the cost of parts but we incurred a $500 bill for labor. Less than two years later our AC stopped working again. The technician informed me the compressor went bad. The compressor will be covered under warranty but the labor to do the repair was $1,000 and the cost to recharge the freon (~$200/lb and our AC carries 1,300 lbs = $2,600). So, after paying over $17,000 for our new HVAC system in July 2023, we have 2 major repairs and paid another $4,000 within the first 3 years of ownership. read more

You get spammed with text messages from a generic chatbot, follow ups by people who are rude and lacking communication skills, and any attempt to call them just lands you at a robot-voiced phone AI system. I would categorize this as a "predatory" business. I was quoted $4,500 for a relatively minor repair which included a part that was not bad. The tech spent more time trying to sell me on a new unit than fixing the existing one. Cody also refused to break out the estimate to show parts and labor. Turns out their "Advantage" program is actually a lease and you will not own anything even after you've paid the cost of everything thrice over, but you will not find the word "lease" anywhere in any of the receipts or bills or emails you get. You want to know where they tell you it's a lease? At the very bottom of the Advantage program webpage in tiny italicized font. When you figure this out and want to terminate, they actually have a clause in the contract to prevent you from informing other people about their deceptive business practices. read more

Stevenson's have lost their way. I called them out to fix my HVAC system that they installed. Well that is relative as Stevenson seems to be a bounch of independant crews under they cover name Stevensons. I told them I thought it was the capacitor on the motor. They confirmed it was. They charged for the capacitor $400 which should be about $20 to $100. Then over charged for the filter too. They have turned in to an upcharge company. I no longer recommend Stevensons. Zero stars! read more

We purchased a home HVAC in 2022 and opted for their Advantage Program to cover all regular maintenance; filter replacements, A/C unit cleaning, etc. Their office staff have been pretty good about reaching out to schedule these visits twice a year and the service people are timely, friendly and polite, but the first two visits both ended with the tech explaining he didn't have the correct filter and would need to order one and return. The third visit resulted in "I don't have the correct one but I have one that will work". When scheduling the fourth visit I specified that the correct filter be provided and the tech came and went without incident (no telling if I have the "correct" filter, though). We also were to get a "free" duct cleaning as part of the purchase; this was scheduled three times, rescheduled twice and the third time they admitted they just couldn't find a cleaner to do the job (and I'm betting it's because they've screwed cleaners in our area...) Most recently, our smart-HVAC informed us that a UV bulb needed to be replaced. The first serviceman didn't have the right bulb, nor did the second, but he explained "You got your unit during Covid and there were supply chain problems..." So we have a Frankenstein HVAC, which explains the filters, too. After a week with no word I had to call them to remind them my issue hadn't been resolved, the third tech was dispatched and...you guessed it, didn't have the right bulb. But, he did get the bulb ordered and the fourth tech was successful. The employees seem to be good people, but I get the feeling the company is poorly operated. I thought a large provider would provide better service, especially in an emergency situation, but after this I'm going back to a dad-and-kid operation. They at least know their customers and what you have installed, so even if there's a delay in getting to you it's fixed on that visit. read more

We have owned this home for 2 years with NO PROBLEMS AT ALL with our furnace or A/C. We scheduled an annual maintenance check-up with their technicians, & after their visit, our A/C went completely out! They sent a tech out the very next day, & she couldn't get it to work. She tried jump starting the compressor to no avail. They sent another tech out the very next day, & he stated that we needed a new compressor. We are on their Advantage Program, which is an all inclusive program that includes everything.....service, parts, & labor. This is the 3rd day, & now the Tech Supervisor states that he needs to come out to re-check everything & that his approval is necessary prior to ordering a new compressor. We have already been without A/C for 3 nites now in July....who knows how long it will be? They can't even tell me if the local warehouse has a compressor in stock!!! They just say that the supervisor has to approve the order for the compressor. We are seniors & my husband is 81 yrs. old with heart problems! I've explained this over & over to them again & again! We have borrowed fans from our friends to get through this ordeal. I'm calling the Better Business Bureau to let them know how this company treats their Advantage Program Customers & senior citizens! Stevenson technician came out 2 days ago to do my tankless water heater flush. Last year I was charged $268.00. When the technician arrived he told me the charge was going to $438.00! I told him that was crazy and I was not going to have the service done. He called his manager and he reduced the price by 10% --I told him that was still a crazy price and not having the service done. He told me I had to pay the $100 trip charge, which I did and the technician left. I feel this is bate and switch, a despicable business practice. Price gouging. Be very careful of any company that offers to "lease" their HVAC system. You will end up paying twice as much. Especially to the elderly. My mother who resided at the "crossings and Canterbury" condos in Beavercreek oh needed a new HVAC system. Stevenson Service Experts convinced my 87 yr old aged mother with a walker that she could "lease" this equipment and get "free maintenance and parts repair for 10 years" well she lived to be 89 and the lease needed to be paid off in full by her estate. They sent a letter saying we owe the $16,572.00 and some cents and had 5 days to pay on full. Mind you the company was located in Richardson, TX. They also mentioned that we could have transferred the lease to the new owners of her condo. She paid $240.00 a month for almost three years. That put this unit at over 25,000.00 for a small condo. Worst experience ever! If I could give negative stars,, I would. We were misquoted prices, service expectations were not clear to us or the company, so no one ever actually came and fixed anything after two visits,, one plumber just never showed up at all. Supposed to have a manager call back because they were "busy" when we called to discuss (this was after a customer service rep sent an email to the manager to please call us to discuss the issues and they didn't call us); company cancelled our original appointment on us to pull our assigned plumber to a bigger job. We found another company to help so we cancelled the final appointment. They sent someone anyway but my partner left work to meet him because sewage was backed up into our house at this point. He had no record of our first consultation, the $195 service fee we paid (when we made the 1st appointment we were explained the $99 fee would be waived if we signed up for their customer rewards program; plumber then said that wasn't accurate and explained it was $130 fee; turns out we were charged $195). This second guy didn't even come inside yet and stated the problem was a tree. Then inspected the house and gave a list of issues and that he would be back tomorrow because he was only there for a consultation. We had another company out that night. They snaked the main line and we were back in working order in like 30 mins. Called to cancel that final appointment and there was no record of anyone coming back out to fix anything. The night of the missing plumber, we were given an emergency number to call. Guess what?! Number didn't work and they don't even have an emergency line! Stay away from these people!!! read more

Stevenson Service was fantastic! We purchased our home almost 2 years ago and the previous owners used Stevenson's, so we figured we would check them out. I'm happy we did! Very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. We have a large dog and they were giving him plenty of love. Gave tips for the maintenance plan and explained all the benefits. Do not waste your time with this company. I called and made an appointment for Tuesday Oct 3,2023. After the plumber did not show as scheduled, I called the office and was told you do not have an appointment. Let me chedk with dispatch. They never admitted they dropped the ball but scheduled us for the next day, Wednesday between 2 and 4. We waited until 4pm no one showed. When we call the office we were told the plumber is running late, and would be at our location within a half hour, It is now 7:10 pm in the evening and no plumber. Needed a simple repair done to our bathroom sink. Would have done it myself if I had the tools needed to remove the stuck pop-up assembly from underneath the sink. I already had all the parts and had everything else disassembled, so we're talking maybe a half hour's worth of work tops. The price Stevensons quoted me to do the job was absolutely insane. I had another plumber come in and do it for less than 20% of what Stevenson's wanted. I won't be calling them again for anything. Nothing against the tech by the way. We pay for the advantage program, and have needed service once in December, and again this Wednesday. Each occurred during the coldest and hottest weeks respectively. Both times we went without a fix for multiple days (our AC is still out as of this message) and were still charged the full advantage fee for that month. The two reps came to my house a plumber and a havoc. I had a leak that was coming from my line in my air condition, my furnace and water heater are located upstairs, I stayed upstairs while the plumber cleared my air conditioning line he said was clogged and he said he was able to unclog it. The plumber and the havoc guy went out to check my air conditioner. I did not go out to watch them because my dog was sick and I was giving her meds. The two gentlemen came in and said my air conditioning was bad and I needed to replace it with a 22,000 new unit he then showed me other unit for 17,000. I'm a single disabled woman. He then called the supervisors and said he could give me the cheapest unit it was 11,000. I told him thanks but I'm getting a second opinion. The plumber tells me that they took out the fuse and only my fan would work. It's 89 degrees. I could not see if the leak was fixed from the clog he said he fixed they charged me 200$. The next day Anderson heating and air looked at my system and said it was out dated but it still was working and a new unit would be 9,000. He put the fuse Back in that Stevenson havoc took out and it was working and no leaks. They weren't being honest and they were trying to scam me at Stevenson and I think women should be aware that these guys are in the company because they work for the Stevenson company are deliberately trying to take a vantage of women, I'll never ever call them again cause they weren't honest with me. read more

As of 10:00 PM there has been no person that has shown up. It is completely unacceptable. Night customer service (during 9:30 pm plumbing emergency) told me they would send a plumber right away. I had to call back several times and was told repeatedly "unable to reach technician". Finally at 1:30 am, I was told an "emergency request" would be left for the morning personnel. They arrive for work at 7 am. I called at 7 am and was told then that it would be 4 weeks before they could come out! I hung up then called Parrott Handyman in Mason, OH. He responded right away. From there it went downhill, he spent a considerable amount of time on the phone requiring advice on how to repair. Was not comfortable when he told me the board went out on my furnace and gave me two options one being $840 repair or $11,000 furnace. Long story short he didn't know what he was doing. Called another company to come out the next day "Outstanding heating and cooling" is the name of the company they get five stars. The tech that came out with outstanding repaired my furnace, there was no circuit board needed no new furnace he said the wiring was wrong from the previous repair or sabotage from Stevenson.Outstanding fixed it. My suggestion is Stevenson heating and air is not trustworthy at all! Will never use them again and suggest other people go elsewhere. read more

I will write this review over and over until I get a check for their screw up. Stevenson Heating and Air is a scam, I just purchased a home which is a cost in itself. Trying to watch my spending with updates and had a Technician come out from Stevenson, Dale (only honest guy at Stevenson). He replaced my thermostat and said my furnace just needed a cleaning. I then scheduled another appointment and requested Dale, instead I got a scam artist, Mike O. When I was distracted he took a well running furnace and ruined it! Said it was over heating and the heat exchanger was cracked and said his sales guy was outside if I wanted to talk to him. That was a scam alert right there! Then Joe V***** walks in and informs me that I purchased a Money pit and tried to sell me a $12,000 unit with another $2000 for a heat exchanger. Thank God my contractor was there! He pulled me aside and said DO NOT SIGN A THING! Stevenson then turned my furnace off, during the winter and took parts off my unit, so I could not turn it back on and then lied when I contacted them about my missing parts. Instead of dealing with crooks I had AB General Contractors come out and they found that the limiter sensor was removed, a fuse was removed from the mother board and they placed the mother board in the bottom of the furnace. All items replaced from their mess up- transformer, mother board, gas value and a 2nd thermostat but no cracked heat exchanger...wow! Also they found that what happened was that they hooked a wire up to it that put out 120 volts that caused this whole short out, it should only be 24 volts! Basically I had a good furnace ruined because they thought a single female living alone would fall for their criminal setup! NEVER using Stevenson again and I will always inform people of this scam they pull! They need to paid my invoice for the repairs that I had to fix after they messed it up! Mike and Joe, you should be fired! I received a call from a Glenn to try and fix their mess, mind you I have paid for a Maintenance package and I had to call in another place to fix their mess- $1,361.70 + $219.00= $1580.70 (Actually paid more, due to new thermostat) They have offered me $1019.00 for their screw up on 2/14/22. Its now 3/21/22 and I have received nothing and Glenn does not response to my emails...nice customer service! Do not call this place, call the zoo and have a chimp service your furnace, they are more honest and smarter! read more

We were fortunate enough to have the best tech show up to address our problem with our heat pump. Parts had to be ordered and were delayed a bit due to weather, However, I asked for the same technician to come out when the parts came in because he was so impressive and cared about taking care of the customer. I would not hesitate to call Stevensons again but rest assured I would ask for Rennie and gladly wait for his availability. As I said he cares about the customer and provides very impressive service and very thorough with his explanation of what the problem might be and what they were. read more

I contacted them to repair my water heater. I had already worked with the manufacturer (Whirlpool) to determine what was needed (replacement of gas control valve/thermostat). I even told the call taker what was needed. According the the website they repair water heaters. A few minutes after the technician arrived they confirmed what I already knew. The technician went outside (I assume to call the office). When they comeback they tell me they don't repair water heaters and only offer me a replacement at $2300. Instead of performing the repair which would only be $450 - $500. At least they didn't charge me the diagnostic fee. It was still a waste of my time. The water heater is only 1 year out of warranty (according to the manufacturer) it came with a 6 year warranty. read more
