He answered all our questions and was really patient. When there would be an unexpected issue, I could txt Mario after hours and he would txt or call me back right away. If there was something that needed to be fixed, he had someone dispatched within half an hour to take care of the issue. The head of the demolitions team (Angel) was really fantastic too. If I could leave no stars I would. They charge cash for an assessment of the work with no receipt provided. They send a teenager to your house to shoot a moisture gun everywhere and will tell you the water has risen 2 feet up the drywall. They overestimate the damage and tell you it will probably be 10-12k to repair. They bring no dehumidifiers or fans on first visit. Do they want the damage to get worse? Of course they do! I went to Home Depot to rent the machines and spent 1/100 of what ServiceMaster was going to charge. read more

From the moment they started until completion, Jennifer walked me through step by step, told me what next steps were, how long it would take. She went out of her way to make sure I was happy with the work. This was a leak in a pipe in a 2 story house. It was complicated, I had mold mitigation, etc. I am very happy with the outcome. They were very slow, did not communicate and would flat out deny that they were told something that they had been told multiple times to my face. I am not happy with the work that they did. Due to water damage in our condo, we were referred to ServiceMaster Restore in Camarillo by our insurance company to restore our bathroom, flooring, and garage ceiling to previous condition. We met our project manager, Randy Welde, who brought the foreman, Jesus and his helper, Kevin to do a walk through. That day Randy advised us that the job would take one week, and asked if we were ready to start one week later on Monday. We were able to reach the office easily and received assistance immediately. During the various stages of work we were kept advised of the scheduled work by Jesus, Kevin and Randy and we stayed in our home during the restoration. Randy, Jesus and Kevin were polite, hard working and very knowledgeable, asking questions of how we wanted specific items done, and giving us great assistance when we needed advice. Randy kept involved with the schedule and checked in with us via phone calls and site visits. The work completed was a great value and resulted in a beautiful finished product. This company when they found out my insurance company does not want to pay extra storage time for my things after a homeowners claim, is now telling me I have to pay the extra storage time even when I said to deliver back my things when the 4 week storage time my insurance company agreed to was up. Also, I have spoken on the phone to the male owner and have found he lies callously: first lying that it was him I was speaking to on the phone, and he (owner) writing a letter to my insurance company that I had not let them know I was concerned regarding toxic chemicals he used in my home to kill mold. This is so untrue!!! I had previously visited their office in person speaking to Letty, and letting her know my concern and asking for a copy of the label on the chemicals they used. Letty went into the office of the owner and apprised him of my concerns, and it was the actual owner that sprayed my kitchen. Then calling and speaking with the owner himself, as above, when he lied to me twice before disclosing that it was, indeed, the owner I was speaking to when I relayed to him my concerns again. UPDATE on September 17, 2020: Letty has reached out to me today and is trying to work with me after I CC'd her in an email to my insurance adjuster talking about delays by the company that is handling restoring my kitchen. UPDATE on September 18, 2020: My stove and oven range left outside uncovered by this company has signs of rust. I was told by Letty when I called her yesterday that she would send someone to my home first thing this morning. They also left boxes outside in my backyard uncovered. It is now 1:43pm and no one from this company has called me or showed up to assess the situation. How sad! I have been asked by Letty yesterday to remove my review of their company. Amazing service. Tristan and Ricky arrived around 12:00 pm and left by 2:00 pm. They arrived just about 1-1/2 hours after I had contacted ServiceMaster Restore, which was recommended by my homeowner's insurance company, Amica. They cleaned up the tremendous amount of glass debris that had fallen from our 66 inches by 90 inches Fleetwood sliding glass door that had cracked into smithereens. They cleaned up all the glass, carting away about five bags of glass. Then they boarded it up in a way that did not damage the structural integrity of the door frame and could easily be removed by glass installer. Also, the boarding looks very secure. I was impressed with their punctuality, expeditiousness, politeness and workmanship. I couldn't ask for a better disaster repair service. ***Beware if this company*** I don't like to leave bad reviews for people or companies as a rule. I feel however that this company's lack of professionalism and poor service must be out there. Contacted this company after my parents home was damaged from the recent fires in Malibu. They sent out a rep named Paul Shortino. Paul is a very nice guy and I met him along with several other contractors, when they came to meet with my elderly father and inspect the house to create bids and estimates for my parent's insurance claim. I spent over an hour walking them around and showing them the various issues for example the smoke damage, carpets, HVAC etc. Paul explained that he would need to come back for a follow up in order to take "exact measurements" so that he could enter it into his computer program to generate the estimates and quotes to provide the insurance company. I agreed to meet with him the following week wanting to expedite this as soon as possible. The following week I met with Paul and proceeded to spend another 4 hours at least measuring every single room of the house. And after it was completed Paul (who I will say again was a really nice guy and seemed to know what he was doing told me he'd have a estimate the following week. Now this is where things went bad.... The next week came and went and no quote or estimate came. Next, the holiday's (Xmas) came and I could understand that it might have to wait. After the holidays still no estimate, and when I contacted Paul by the cell phone he provided me not response. Finally, after a week he let me know that he was gravely sick and could not provide the estimate but would contact me when he felt better. Another week and nothing. Another week nothing. Finally today I contacted the company asking if Paul was the only employee that could provide me with an estimate and they responded that "it will take to long to create the estimate so they cannot." So, I waited over 6 weeks, spent over 5-6 hours of my time measuring and showing them the house and work to be done to never get a response and then be told they cannot provide an estimate because it would take them to long!!!! This was so unbelievable and laughable I actually had to have them repeat what they were saying on the phone because I've never heard of such a thing. The job to provide a quote was too much work for them. Yet somehow, 911 Restoration, Unique Restoration and others were able to do it. What really is irritating and disappointing is the total lack of communication and professionalism on the company's part. If their guy Paul was to sick to follow up with a perspective client why not have another person do it? Or even better if you don't want the job or you're too lazy and unprofessional to even provide a estimate why not at least communicate that and not hold up something so serious as fire restoration, clean up and repair. This company is not to be taken seriously. There are many others out there and I recommend you skip this one if you don't want to waste your time as I have. Basic courtesy doesn't exist with them. Professionalism doesn't exist. Like is said at the beginning I don't like leaving bad reviews usually, because any service or product can have a bad day it make a mistake and I fell like it's unfair sometimes. However, when you are not professional and don't exhibit even a modicum of basic courtesy, respect for other people's time and are rude, then that is when I am grateful for services like yelp so others may not suffer the same as those before them. This wasn't a bad incident or special circumstance. This was and could have been handled differently at so many points. Service master was recommended from our Insurance company. Back in the beginning of January for water damage to hardwood floors and walls. First they come in with their fans and humidifiers remove all my property from the whole house including items cabinets in the hall, closets and kitchen, Their team member tells me they will be there every step of the way to guild me through the process. The Insurance paid for hotel and we are still there. Service Master demo all the floors and then do nothing for months, the estimator Paul didn't submit original estimate without the tile holding up the whole job. The Insurance company paid them right away for all the other items they submitted for, A total of $50951.62 so there is no reason they can't get the other job done. I had to call every week for status updated and they pointed finger at each other. For months this was going on. At this point all that has been do is restraining cabinets which took them 3 days to do. I finally got fed up on 4/1/21 and asked the insurance company to get the money back and I would have a flooring company install tile and hardwood. I have yet to see the money. I have put the job on my credit cards so that we can move back into our home. Now Service master is saying all I'm getting back is $13000.00 and they want me to pay the deductible.
