I used Ready Restoration (RR) to handle mold remediation resulting from a roof leak. I had broken roof tiles that I wasn't aware of, and this resulted in slow leak that caused mold to grow in my attic near the leak area. I only became aware of the leak when a small portion of my ceiling started to show water damage with mold appearing on the ceiling not too long after. I used another company to repair the broken roof tiles and then set up an appointment with RR to get a quote for the mold remediation. I went to another vendor first to give me a quote for the mold remediation, but after receiving this company's quote, I decided to get one more. Two things stood out to me when RR came in to give me a 2nd estimate - (1) they were very thorough in testing for moisture, and (2) their official estimate, which was sent to me via email, was extremely thorough in terms of identifying the problem area and the steps that would be taken to remove the mold. Both points are important because the 1st vendor really only eyeballed the problem area without performing any real tests, and his invoice for the estimate didn't provide much detail in terms of how the problem was going to be addressed. Based on the 2 factors mentioned above, I decided to go with RR for not only the mold remediation but the inevitable drywall repair. The RR crew did a great job of sealing off the room with the mold. They cut out a sizable chunk of my ceiling, sanded down the exposed wooden beams, applied a liquid chemical to kill the mold spores and ran an air purifier with a HEPA filter to clean the air in the room. All this was taken care of within a few hours. It all sounds great, right? So why only a 4 star review? I had an issue with RR's lack of communication on the days after the mold remediation was completed. I wasn't told what time the crew would come back the next day and had to call to find out. When they came back the following day, they didn't really communicate with my wife as to what the next step in the project was going to be. The crew came in without talking to her and just checked on the damaged area. My wife had to go to them and specifically ask about the drywall repair. A different person/crew was supposed to handle the drywall, so my wife wasn't able to get much information from the mold remediation crew. However, she at least was able to establish that the drywall crew was going to come the following day at a specified time. Well, the next day came, and the drywall crew did not show up at the allotted time. I was expecting to receive a call that the crew was running late due to a longer than expected job, but that call never came. I called RR an hour after the drywall crew was supposed to have arrived but ended up having to leave a voicemail. The person I was in contact with was in the middle of a job, so this wasn't his fault. However, it certainly didn't help me feel any better about the situation. I waited another hour before calling and was able to get a hold of someone. I explained to him that because of the lack of communication, I was no longer going to have RR proceed with the drywall repairs. To his credit, he was very understanding and sincerely apologized for the miscommunication. Overall, I was happy with the work RR did in removing the mold, but I wasn't happy with the lack of communication and timeliness that followed afterwards. As a customer, I just to be stay informed on the basic details of a multi-day job. What time will work start? What does the crew expect to accomplish on a given work day? How long will the work last on that day? I think it will go a long way for RR if they can make it habit of providing this info to their customers. Hopefully, this review will provide constructive criticism that will help RR provide future customers with better customer service. read more

We called Ready Restoration due to a leak under our home which was coming from our laundry room. I spoke to Brian, he was very polite, on time and very informative. We figured out the leak was from corroded tubes going into the back of our washing machine. Once the leak was fixed, Brian did a moisture test, he found moisture behind our wall and in our wood floors. Because the leak was undetected for a long time we developed mold in the wall. Ready Restoration killed and removed the mold and repaired everything to brand new. What a great company and decently priced. I would only recommend this company to people I know. We called Ready Restoration for water damage repair to bathroom walls and to do a finish repair to our shower. Brian was able to arrive in less than an hour to evaluate and get me an estimate. I called Brian at 2 PM on SUNDAY and was very surprised when he said he would show up at 5 PM to take a look at the problem. He spent an hour at the house and was able to detect two areas of moisture behind the drywall. The remediation quote was written within 24 hours and he started tearing down the molded walls on Monday morning. He and his staff were very accommodating. I needed to quickly get the house repaired since it is a vacation rental with guest checking in on Friday. He even dealt with the plumber on my behalf to repair the two areas with leaks. They removed the damaged drywall and rebuilt the garage and closet wall with good workmanship with attention to detail. In fact, I do not even notice that work had been done in the closet and garage ceiling. Additionally, he went the extra mile to replace two faulty electric outlets (safety issue) in the garage and readjust my garage door tracks since they noticed it was not aligned properly.
