After passing all tests I received all pertinent information for my temporary renewed permit right away. very much more convenient than previous years. I was served by trainee Jazmyn and her instructor Janna. Both were very efficient. I commend the Human resources people for their excellent hiring of staff. I had a very frustrating and unprofessional experience at this branch while trying to apply for a…read morehealth card. I presented valid documentation showing my legal status in Canada (a PGWP application that allows me to work and remain in Canada while waiting for the actual permit), which is accepted by IRCC, my employer, and other ServiceOntario locations (as I later confirmed). But it was not good enough for the staff here. The employee "assisting" me insisted that I had to go to a different "headquarters" location in order for my documents to be valid for this application. Their manner was unnecessarily aggressive and dismissive, especially considering I was simply trying to access a health card. I went to a different ServiceOntario location the same day (not the 'headquarters' one). Staff reviewed the exact same documents and processed my OHIP application without any issues or questioning. After reading other reviews (on Google, not here), it appears that misinformation is REPEATEDLY being given at this location. This causes people to lose time, money, and access to essential services due to staff not being properly trained about their services and basic human decency. I would strongly suggest avoiding this branch and going to another ServiceOntario location where staff are knowledgeable and actually willing to help.

I went in to renew plates and after standing in line for 10 minutes and as the place was about to officially close (but everyone in line would be served) realized I didn't have the insurance information written on the form. I asked one of the employees standing near the door (& doing nothing else) to go to the car in the parking lot and get the info. She said because it was 5pm right then they were officially closed and no in and out. She said I had to call a friend to come to my car and get the info out for me and pass it in through the door...seriously. I spoke to the supervisor and explained the situation hoping to get some human rational thought and compassion but was told the same thing. My friend got there 10 minutes later and passed me the insurance info...there was no one left in line (yes, I would have already been done had they let me get the info out of the car myself) so I walked up to the counter and was told I didn't even need the insurance information since it was all in the computer!!! Not only are they inhuman, unreasonable jerks in this place they are incompetent ones. There was literally no need for my buddy to be dragged out to the parking lot to begin with! Instead, they directed me to the Ministry of Health, where appointments are only available by prior booking. This service Ontario is located INSIDE the Canadian Tire…read more I went on a rainy Saturday to renew my photo card and was in & out in less than 20 minutes which was surprising for a Saturday since I came around the lunch hour (12:30pm) but i'm sure it had a lot to do with the weather that day! The staff were friendly & I was pleased with the service, I would definitely come back to this location. The only reason why i'm not rating a 5 is because it was a bit hard to get there since I didn't know it was inside the Canadian tire. I used google maps to help guide me there & it led me past the Canadian tire and there were no signs. Once you get inside the Canadian tire you'll have to take the elevator on your right side down to the basement.
