I visited this branch to renew my Health Card (OHIP). After waiting in line for an hour and a half (since online appointments were fully booked two weeks in advance), the clerk reviewed my documents, consulted with her supervisor, and informed me that they couldn't resolve my issue. Instead, they directed me to the Ministry of Health, where appointments are only available by prior booking. Well, it's that time of year when my upcoming birthday triggers the renewal notification of my Ontario Government issued Identification Cards (ID). I have my soon to expire Health Card and Driver's License with me and standing here patiently outside at this Service Ontario O'Connor Place Plaza location. This location is full of slow and rude people, I've been there twice to renew a health card that never got sent to me after I had applied to renew it, I mumbled to myself to stop wasting my time as they turned me down yet again requiring yet another document that they never told me I needed the first time I visited this location and got yelled at from one of the workers as I collected my papers and ID and walked out the door. I'm tired of the power trips these people take and got told never to return to that location and I'll gladly oblige, why would I want too after being treated as I was? My health card was expired and it CLEARLY says it's expired right on the health card and has a hole punched through it, why would these people not have looked at the health cards date and told me exactly what I needed the first time I went in there. so yet another wasted day trying to receive my health card. read more

This place is tiny and would be suited in a small town like Acton rather than the densely-populated area its situated in. It's so close to my work, that it still felt like a good idea going there, even if it was slower than other location. That proved to be wrong since I waited for about an hour and 15 minutes just to renew my plates. It's actually independently-run and contracted by Service Ontario. There's no rope to organize the (long) line and I think they only had 3 tellers open - though theres about 5 spaces. They earn a star since the staff who served me was quite friendly, even after dealing with a difficult customer before me. read more

This is not a good MTO location. You know that Primus song DMV... that is this building and these people. Observe; I've been to hell. I spell it...I spell it DMV Anyone that's been there knows precisely what I mean Stood there and I've waited and choked back the urge to scream And if I had my druthers I'd screw a chimpanzee-call it pointless I fully and completely understand why the people who work here are so curt and concise after witnessing the interactions they are forced to endure with abusive Ontarians that I am appalled we have issued licences to. Seriously, if you can't keep a lid on your rage long enough to fill out a form, I really don't want to be sharing the road with you. This is also another place that children do not belong. There were a number of families here with out of control spawn; if only one of you needs to be here, maybe the other one can stay at home (or even in the parking lot!) with your horribly behaved children so that I don't have to yell at them. That's right, I parented someone else's child because they were too busy doing... I have no idea what they were doing because they seemed to be standing in the same line I was in and watching their child behave like a monster. Anyways, after I took a kid's tricycle away and made him stand in a corner (yes, in a line that twisted and turned to fill the entire room like the lines at YYZ customs, people brought a rusty tricycle inside for their child to ride while they stood in line for over an hour. That is not an inside toy and he ran into everyone multiple times. PARENT YOUR CHILD if you insist on bringing him to places he doesn't belong because you can't arrange fro adequate child care for whatever reason.) it was finally my turn and I actually had a very helpful cashier. I needed an eTest which I had to leave to get, and when I came back she let me forgo a second turn in the hour long line and complete our unfinished transaction. I think she sensed the people with toddlers were all about to punch me in the face. The woman who let me cut the line added the +1 to this 1 star experience. Everyone else here was depressing and smelled. Dear god I wish I could buy a 10 year sticker so I would never have to return here. Had to renew my license the other week, did it all in under 1 hour which I think is a record. STRONG word of advice - go 20 minutes BEFORE it opens and stand in line, then you'll be one of the first to be served and you won't have to wait hours of line later in the day. read more

Honestly, 1 doesnt justify its service. Hi there, We had the worst service today. Possible..... I went to service Ontario on behalf of my dad with my mom, today to renew his license plate that needed to be recalled since it peeled off. My dad almost got a ticket from it, so we went to address the issue right away. So, to begin, I went in and the lady ran the license plate in system and only told me I needed one thing. I said no problem, drove home to get the required document, and now went back. Now, they tell me that I need another document. Okay.. so we drive home again, and then she comes back with me, and now they finally tell me that my dad needs to be here to pay " the parking tickets", which is weird because when people get a ticket, anyone or any form or credit can be taken. She knew all along I was doing the information, because she also needed my drivers license and said no problem before? Also, they shouldnt she give out that information from the get go, to avoid back and forth issues and save both of our times? Fine, my dad came with me, to verify its him since they specifically requested that. Anyways, as told, this is frustrating because we also work and this could all been avoided by telling the customer what they need right away, not sending someone back and forth. Now, they're claiming that the vehicle owes tickets from dating back in June? * Keep in mind, vehicle sticker renewal was in Sept was everything was up to date, from before the date.....** How is this possible when he came back in September to get his sticker, and paid the outstanding balances?I was telling her that, you can easily pull up the file from such date and verify it from the start. We told her, we will pay the ones after September, because that's what should be valid and she can verify it through the system, so if I do take it to court, i have the proof that it was previously paid.... She didn't want to Again, now she refused to help us, and wouldnt let us have a word. Everytime, we tried to talk, she didnt want to listen.Anyway, we got upset because back and forth were trying to explain to her and she refused to even listen. We finally told her we will pay the one from June but will need a receipt to take it to the court that's its paid and she refused. That's not right...... Now, the "supervisor" comes in, having the most aggressive behaviour and points her finger at us, and expects us not to get angry from everything they did, and after she points her finger at me? And said "actually we don't need to provide any service to you". If she refused to help us, all she had to do is from the start tell us that she didn't want to help us, not sent us back and forth 3 times.my dad lost a whole days of work, unable to drive to work, and to run errands due to refusal of license plating when it was issued damaged???? Anyway, I called service Ontario and Matt was assisting us. He asked me to tell her" the supervisor about filing an incident report, so it can be escalated and she refused and laughed right in my face, and even the customer service rep heard it over the phone and apologized many times over her behalf. We asked her for her name, she refused 3 times to give it to us. She works at 1871 Oconnor drive and this is not a right away to deal with customers .... especially when something is defective and needed to be recalled. My recommendation is that some of staff that are promoted to "branch managers" should be more helpful when these situations happen because out of spite she refused to help and assist us and not to hold grudges... Customer service is a key and there should be proper leadership within staff. Customers shouldn't feel like they don't have a way out due to people taking their anger into work. I informed her as i left that I would contact customer service , and she said " I dare you and would love to see you post this on social media" so here I am. Thank you so much for ruining my day and for making me drive to a different location, and wasting 4 hours of my time .. making me not have a car today due to you holding a grudge, Ms " brand manager" I literally lost money today driving around due to your silliness. What's the point of having convenience when you can't receive help? P.S don't use your position of authority to choose whom to serve. read more

This is probably one of my preferable ministry sites that I like to go to because although there's a line up it moves steadily. But like all Service Ontario's it's best to go earlier than later otherwise you more than likely bring a lunch! read more

Horrible service and I believe the constant lineup is because of just that. These people are not helpful or friendly whatsoever.They had me stand there waiting like a fool for 30 mins after taking 2 minutes to fill out a form I missed a spot on.
