She sounded uninterested, spoke very quietly, and gave the impression that I was interrupting her. When I politely asked her to speak up because I couldn't hear her, she placed me on hold and came back with a completely different attitude. After that, she kept responding as if she couldn't hear me, even though she had no trouble hearing me earlier in the call. The interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional, and it made resolving my issue unnecessarily frustrating. Customer service should be consistent, especially for something as important as government services. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve training and accountability.

To my surprise, this store had a ServiceOntario location in the back left of the store. I was here on a Saturday at around 1:30 pm. The parking in front of this store was pretty busy. I did manage to find a parking spot steps away from the main entrance and backed into it. This store has two doors. The right door was gated off. Everyone was going in and out of the store through the left door. When I left the store, a bunch of us were politely waiting for a man using a four-wheel walker to get into the store before we all left. It wasn't horrible, but it does make it inconvenient if there's a huge volume of folks. I was curious and checked this section out. When I got to ServiceOntario, there was a check-in sign. I then read another sign that said that this centre was at maximum service capacity and there wasn't any check-in available. It was a Saturday at 1:30 pm. It was at maximum capacity till 9 pm? Wow! I thought that the extended hours were amazing. It made me think that if you needed to get a new Ontario health card, you shouldn't do it on a Saturday. I am fortunate that I was able to renew my health card online. However, I'll need to get a new photo for my Ontario driver's licence and I also have a correct that ServiceOntario will need to make, so I have no choice but to visit a location this year. This location isn't the closest ServiceOntario to me. It seemed so appealing to have it in a Staples with good hours. I found it to be cool and different. However, I overheard a conversation between a staffer and a person who had been waiting to have his number called to get service. He had already been there for two hours. That wait does not scream come here. I hope that things improve. I just find it sad that I was there at 1:30 pm and this centre had already reached maximum capacity. I've come to this location for at least 15 years. I've renewed driver's licenses, health cards,…read morevehicle permits, etc. The agents are always courteous. Prior to the pandemic, wait times were 1 to 1.5 hours. There was an online chart giving typical wait times throughout the week. Very useful. During pandemic times, most common services require an appointment but a few don't have appointments. When you arrive, there is a pre-screening person at the front. Because of appointments, there are far fewer people in the waiting area. You still get a ticket to wait but wait times are now 5 to 15 mins only! The waiting seats have signs to block off seats to ensure physical distancing. There are screens showing the called ticket numbers showing you which agent booth to go to. There are 43 booths. Certain booths are assigned certain functions. They accept debit and credit cards for payment. There is no free WiFi but part of the waiting area has access to the free TD Bank WiFi. Mobile internet is also available even though the office is in the basement. There are no customer washrooms but you can use the mall washrooms.
