Terrible experience with this company. Dishonest, inept, exploitative. After taking a very hefty deposit from a stressed out me they delayed -for many days, starting their work at my water damaged home til it was more convenient for them. Meanwhile repairs are on hold til they do their demo work. Major disconnect between the office and the guys out in the field (who were fine). And taking a page from the Fleecing Handbook, they billed for over $5000 for demo sheetrock & cleaning. The guys were at the house for a total of 7 hours. $700 per hour for demo/cleaning work. Beware of this company! First off, let me say that the kids who came to my home for the clean up and demolition were great! They were all honest, very hard working, and nice. My home flooded this past summer and my Allstate Insurance agent recommended I call Servpro for the cleanup. The woman who answered the phone at Servpro told me that unless I provided her with an Insurance claim number they would not come out. Upon waiting for their arrival I read their website which clearly states, "We specialize in water and mold damage restoration, the cornerstone of our business. We have the training and expertise to safely handle any mold situation." They also claimed, "We're Highly Trained Mold Remediation Specialists." So when they needed to remove my furniture and my vintage one of a kind oriental rug- that was in perfect condition - which I had for over 30yrs, I felt comfortable and trusted them. Upon the return of my items my Oriental Rug was covered in black mold. Now remember, this is one of a kind and cannot be replaced. The supervisor Jason (as per their website is not a certified mold technician) who was at my home when they brought back the rug and discovered the mold, assured me that he would personally oversee the cleaning of the rug and would call me. Needless to say I called him a few days later and was told that they are working on it. After another week of not hearing anything I went down to Servpro to see what was happening with my rug. This is where I met the extremely rude and unprofessional Brittany, the office manager. She took me into the sweltering warehouse where my rug was laying on the floor. Not only was mold still visible, but now my rug had white streaks. I told Brittany that they needed to stop trying to fix it themselves and send it out to a professional restoration company for oriental rugs because they were ruining it. That's when she told me that it depended on the cost of doing that verses the cost of the rug. I asked to speak with the owner and she told me that I couldn't!!!!! She said she was the office manager and only she would speak with them! After asking her 4 times for their name she finally gave it to me and then refused to tell me when they might be available. (Apparently they are in the witness protection program because I can't think of another reason why she didn't want anyone knowing their names!!!) She never even once apologized. I was so upset that I contacted my Insurance agent Cheryl at Linda Langs office in Washingtonville to help me resolve this issue. Luckily, she was extremely sympathetic in understanding how much the rug meant to me. She was also as upset as I was by the way I was treated. She then offered to deal with Brittany herself on my behalf to resolve this issue, which took her over a week to do because Brittany continued to be difficult. In the end after ruining my rug by not sending it out to be cleaned properly, they sent me a check with a PINK POST-IT NOTE attached written by Brittany Johnson that said "I'm sorry for ruining your rug"... which clearly wasn't true since she showed no remorse while I stood in front of her begging her to have my rug professionally cleaned. Servpro does not have a climate-controlled warehouse. They obviously do not have the highly trained mold specialists they claim to have. And the Better Business Bureau does not accredit this Servpro office. I highly recommend that if you ever need any sort of Cleanup & Restoration that you DO NOT call Servpro!!!! I would not EVER use or recommend Servpro.Even if I had a dog who's dog house caught fire and all they needed to do was clean his bed and toys.They would manage to screw that up.They are VERY unprofessional and rude.After multiple phone calls,emails and messages into them you may be lucky if someone contacts you back.When you finally do get in contact with someone it's not in a timely manner.They do not care about their customers.They will throw away items that they were supposed to keep and store.They will loose or take several items in your home.And they will bring back items more damaged then when they left the house to begin with.What a horrible thing to endure after you've already had a loss.They will take advantage of you. I've been mislead and lied to multiple times by this company.Laura had told me they could take and store items I wanted that were deemed a loss.A week later she states they can't even though she told me they could.They take their sweet time for everything.They packed up only half of my sectional.Weeks later the other half still sat in my house.At the time I had moving storage pods on my property.My landlord moved them into the pods because they hadn't came back for the rest of the items and work needed to be done on the house.I wasn't aware that they didn't take all of my items out like they were supposed to.As a result my landlord was forced to move the items to start house work.They were told that the items were in there and never bothered to pick the rest of the sectional up amongst other items.Weeks go by,Since I was under the impression all my belongings were picked up I had scheduled a return of the pods I had on my property as I no longer needed them anymore.They were picked up and I get a phone call from them that they were full of belongings! Servpro never came back for the rest of the items!So now I'm stuck paying a additional $250 a month in storage fees due to their negligence and stupidity. I call them and had to leave a message of course and was told I would get a call and update back.When I finally do I was told they would pick up the rest of the items that week.Weeks almost a month goes by and I get charged another $250 fee from the pod company because what do you know,They weren't picked up and emptied yet like they told me they were going too! They eventually pick it up at their leisure but it still ended up costing me a additional $500 that could of been avoided had people done their jobs properly or return phone calls!But hey they didn't care because that didn't come out of their pockets.When I'm finally ready to move back into my home.I discover almost every piece of furniture they ended up cleaning and restoring came back more screwed up than when it left.Dents,scratches and dings on my computer desk,fireplace,and dresser.My daughters nursery set came back with dents,the hardware for her crib is gone.So I have NO way in using this ever again. Expensive items are missing!They also mislabeled boxes which nearly resulted in me loosing a finger.Im unpacking boxes that are labeled kitchen plastic ware when they were full of knives!!2 bathroom shelving units were thrown away without my consent that were supposed to be kept.They did major damage to my 3 month old fridge and stove hood range when trying to move it.Not to mention they never cleaned it,it was full of mold.No one even bothered to mention this to me until AFTER I pointed it out to them.After all of this I'm still waiting on a phone call back that Ill probably never get.This company is a complete joke!What did I save at the end of the day?Most of my items are ruined!Did I mention I NEVER got a inventory list.Ive inquired several times and was told they would get it.Then I was told they didn't have one only pictures and I never even got that!If you want a ton of aggravation and ruined items this is definitely the place to use.Big round of applause to the shining stars Laura Johnson and Dave! read more

When they finally came, at a time best for THEM, they sent an inexperienced kid who glanced at the space, made some comments and left... When I called 2X for clarification on a procedure I may elect to do--I did not get a return phone call.
