Went here about a month ago for a birthday and as always spot on. I love this place. I always feel welcomed. The owner always comes over and chats with the table and asks how everyone is. What an exceptional place. From the moment you enter, you automatically feel at home. The owner/chef greets you at the door, takes your coat, seats you and goes over all the specials for the night. The restaurant is small, which I love. There's no better way for a romantic dinner or lunch, in my opinion. It's quiet, extremely clean, and beautifully decorated. The service is top notch, and the food delicious. Chef Russo goes far and beyond to make you feel special, comes by often as do his staff. My glasses were never empty, and the table was never dirty. That's huge. They take great pride in what they do, and that's a lost art. The food, what can I say, it's definitely not your average Olive Garden fare. Everything is made fresh to order, which you can taste on the first bite. The fish is some of the freshest I ever had. The wife and I have gone back at least once a month, since first finding this little hidden gem. We figured we needed to try everything on the menu. So far haven't been disappointed. Consistency is key. Our favorites are the pear salad, la quiche, gnocchi is a must, the burrata, fettuccine nonna is amazing, risotto, the gray snapper is my fav, wife loves the short rib, and the saltimbocca. As far as deserts they all are delish, as are the cappuccinos. If looking to have a very romantic Dinner this is the spot. Oh yeah they're also rated in the top 100 in the country. Look it up. Service is high end but can be slow- example: they broke the cork when opening annoys bottle of wine I had brought (BYOB) and took the time to decant it. It took 10-15 minutes for me to get a glass. Food is also very good to excellent however portions are not large and prices are on the high end. Example: Gnocchi was very flavorful with unique texture but was not in the traditional shape of gnocchi and portion was on the small end. Small intimate restaurant ideal for 2-6 people. read more

The quality and freshness of the food totally took me by surprise. When you enter the place it looks pretty small and not a lot of seating. I had to wait a few minutes to be seated since the owner doubles up as the host and the server. Not ideal for big groups. There was one other big group at a table by us and we were pretty squashed in the table that we were seated at. It was a little tight for 5 people. And the other section was reserved for much smaller tables so did not have a lot of seating options. The bruschetta was yum...and so was the penne with eggplant. We went with 6 people last weekend. It's pricey but the food is outstanding. The bruschetta was the best we ever had, salads were good, bread had to be home made, and the sea bass (three of us had it) was so tasty. However, if you like large portions, this is definitely not the place for you. I was still hungry after dinner. I had a bit of a problem with the service. There are 8 tables and there were 3 waiters, including the owner ,who is extremely nice. With that ratio, and the prices charged, my wine glass or water should never be empty, and we should not have to ask for salt, pepper or parm cheese for the pasta dishes. I was hoping for some specials as the menus is limited ,but there were none. You should go if you haven't been. read more

We stopped in for lunch on a cold winter day in the middle of the week not knowing what to expect. Sette is small but elegantly laid out and comfortable. An excellent menu from which the three of us ordered different items. All were very pleased with our dishes both in quantity and taste. The service was good and not overbearing which allowed us to enjoy or food and conversation. The owner/chef stopped by to speak with us. We went to Sette for the first time to celebrate my birthday. What an OUTSTANDING restaurant! Sette is a small restaurant - only about 8 tables. We booked about a week in advance for a Thursday reservation. We were promptly greeted upon our arrival and quickly seated at our table. The menus were promptly delivered and the daily specials were shared. We started with the mushroom risotto and the gnocchi. Both were exceptional. For entrees, I had the porchetta and my wife the braised ribs. I never ordered porchetta before and did not really know what to expect. The pork was tender, juicy and incredibly flavorful. My wife's braised ribs were equally good. We highly recommend Sette if you are looking for a true Italian dinner. You will not be disappointed. read more

Haven't been to Settle for a while since I had a bad experience the last time. Thought I would try again. I know from last time that they charge a platting fee for sharing apps. Ridiculous. The prices are high enough. I ordered cod and it didn't have any flavor. My friends ordered short ribs that we're good. When it came time to leave, they brought one of the half empty bottles back for us and not the other. The waiter did get it but mumbled that there was only one and a half glasses left This is one of the highly rated restaurants in the area and I can't figure out why. While a bit on a pricey side - a dinner for 2 was around $120 with tax and prior to gratuities, without drinks - this small restaurant is still worth a visit. Everything was cooked really well, and the food was fresh and tasty. The portions are of normal European size, i.e. not huge, but definitely adequate. The restaurant's owner is very friendly, and he personally comes over to greet every customer. The place is VERY small (probably no more than 10 tables), so reservations are essential. read more

A more appropriate name for this establishment would be arrived at by adding in the "L" to the name that's now missing...as in "Settle." If you're willing to settle for paying through the nose for entree portions that leave you craving dessert because you're still famished after finishing your meal, this place is for you. One out of our table of six was pleased with her meal and I'm not even certain of that. This is a BYOB establishment! Good to know before you go. If you forget your wine, settle in for a long night of tapwater (or bottled, or sparkling) our waiter never offered us anything else, no soft drinks, nothing. The bruschetta was interesting, featuring a tomato slice instead of diced tomato. The truffle risotto was borderline pungent, and very oily. We ordered our steaks medium and received them mid-well and well instead. Our server was attentive, the ambiance was pleasant (we were sure to honor the request in the menu that all conversations be kept to a respectable volume). Overall, not the experience we'd hoped for, but far from shabby. 2-3 stars. Not worth the price. read more
