Enjoyed ourselves here on a Friday afternoon. Wine was good and priced right. We ordered the feta dip and a charcuterie board which we all devoured after a morning visiting the falls. Would have liked a little more service during our visit. Maybe clearing our table or asking if we needed anything, I guess a connection was missing. At one point we asked for suggestions in town and was told someone would be over and they never came. Overall, we had a good experience and purchased 3 bottles of wine that we had tried. read more

I am responding to a review about a September event our family is holding at Seven Bridges. We have always found their customer service to be wonderful and the wines are always good. Their tastings are always fun. As for the September event, the six person reference is for tastings. This is not a tasting--it is a private event and there is no six person limit. Seven Bridges has been working with us the whole time so we are well aware of the facts. They have also been working with us on wheel chair access and this has already been coordinated. We could have answered all the questions asked by the reviewer and hate to see Seven Bridges get a bad review for this. read more

I called with questions about an upcoming private event scheduled in September. It was 1:30p on a Wednesday and the person who answered sounded as if I just woke them up. I asked if the facility was wheel chair accessible. In a harsh tone, I was told, "no, I told (my family member) it was not. Their website states reservations for groups no larger than 6. Knowing our group would be larger than 6, I inquired about that as well. Again, the response was harsh stating something about reservations and private events. So harsh, I decided to end the call at that point without asking about parking which Google Maps only shows limited street parking around a very large building in an industrial area. While once looking forward to this event, now I'm concerned about it, all in a span of less than a minute. read more

Hidden in plain sight, this urban winery is right off N Interstate in an industrial area under the 405 bridge. Came here on Black Friday with a group of friends and we all had a great time. The small, intimate space was decked out with a stunning Noble Christmas tree and festive lights. They had 6 different pours for $20 and a delicious buffet of cheeses, nuts, meats, olives, fruit and crackers. They even gave us 2nd pours on our favorites. Seven Bridges specializes in Bordeaux style blends so this is right up my alley. I'm a fan of big bold reds with Cab Franc and blends being my faves. They had both in this sampling and they were delicious, smooth and well balanced. Actually, I enjoyed all of the wine we tasted which is not always the case. Those pouring were friendly and very informative. This is a great place for wine tasting without having to leave Portland. They have Friday night HH from 5:30-8:30. The tasting room is open Saturday and Sunday from 1:00-5:00 and their release parties are the last Friday of the month (posted on their website.) Don't know how I lived here for 20 years and never heard of this gem! But now that I know, I will be back, often. read more

I've come here a few times, and they're always impeccable about health and safety while not sacrificing on good service. Marissa was super friendly and knowledgeable about the wine. All the wine was super tasty! I like their unique PNW takes on a range of varietals. Their new setup is especially fun with your own booth flanked by barrels! As a member of several wineries, it's not too often I venture off path and try different places. In February Portland irban wineries have a share the love event offering discounts for members to try other wineries. Walking to Seven Bridges through a heavily industrialized part of town was an adventure itself. On each corner there were signs with arrows pointing us right to the winery. Once in the building, I felt right at home. Between barrel storage, there were several cute areas for seating. The wines were way way better than expected and the service was top notch. It made me ask myself several times if I need just one more wine membership here. Each tasting flight displayed wines from eastern/central Oregon and Washington. Much different and welcoming styles compared to other urban wineries. I loved hearing the stories about the creation of each wine and the label. We came home with several bottles and will be back! read more

Nice to find a local winery that produces full bodied reds and not just Pinots. We met friends at the Portland tasting room just before the holidays. It was great - even had a Christmas tree. We stopped by this great urban winery, on a Saturday afternoon, just following their Friday night release party for the Petite Verdot. Seven Bridges specializes in Bordeaux style blends using Oregon and Washington grapes. We did the six wine tasting ($15, or $10 for the four wines). I haven't really liked red wines I've tried in the past but these were really tasty and easy to drink! The pourer and one of the owners were both very friendly and happy to educate us on their wine making process. They even showed us the back area and poured us some extra tastings of the wines prior to the blending and aging process (leftover from the release party)! My favorites were the Cab Franc and Syrah. Bottles range from $20-45 and are only available at the tasting room, for now. Seven Bridges also does some kind of event on the last Friday of each month, including release parties. I can't wait to check out the next one! I definitely recommend this place for a great bottle wine and fun conversation. read more

Seven Bridges is a wonderful winery! The tasting is super unique, nestled in their production room between wine barrels. The winemaker was walking through as we tasted, overheard us asking questions amongst ourselves and stopped to answer our curiosities and chat with us. The wines were all excellent, too! This place is such a hidden gem! We had an awesome Sunday Funday here--we were going on an urban wine tour of about four different places and spent most of our time at this one. The ambiance was great--just a small, intimate tasting room with a couple of larger seating areas for a group. How the heck has this place been off my radar all this time?! I had an opportunity to try their wines at an Indie wine event here in Portland. Out of 60+ wines, these were my favorite! Seven Bridges does not make wimpy wines. They are big, bold and full bodies but still have a velvety smoothness to them. The wine makers have focused on their true love of red wines so no whites available although they make a kick ass rose' perfect for summer sipping. It is crisp and fresh, made with sangiovese grapes. I was driving along Interstate Ave yesterday and happened to see their sign. My afternoon was free so I stopped in to taste and walked out with 1/2 a case of wine after joining their wine club. It is a huge space and within the huge space they have created a nice little tasting area with original art on the walls. These are some of the best Oregon wines I have had. If you prefer Pinot Noirs, these probably aren't your bag. These are the big boys and I like 'em big! I have now met all three of the owners and they are friendly, knowledgeable with no hint of pretention. Great place to come for a date or with a group of friends. read more

Any time we're visiting the wife's family in Portland, she likes to drag me around wine tasting. While I have nothing against wine, I do have a problem with cheap wine at an expensive price -- which I seem to find all too often at wine tastings. Fortunately, that was most definitely not the case here; all of the wines we sampled were rich and flavorful, and priced a little lower than I would have expected for wine of this quality. We opened a bottle of the Seven Bridges Resolution with dinner last night, and it was even better than we remembered. The tasting room staff was very friendly. We'll definitely be back here on our next visit. read more

For a reliable red wine flight, this is the right spot. They just recently scored a 90 from Wine Spectator. Don't be dismayed by the secluded industrial location or nondescript exterior. Inside, these guys are making some really complex red wine, mostly from eastern OR and WA as opposed to the usual Willamette Valley Pinot. We got to take a mini tour with one of the winemakers since it was a quiet sunday. Flight fee is waived if you get a bottle, just keep in mind that the bottles are a little higher price point than some if the other urban Wineries in PDX. Definitely would return for another flight if I was in the neighborhood. read more

There can't be a better wine-tasting experience in Portland. Seven Bridges is just the best, top-quality, fairly priced and just the best tasting experience. All the staff are super-accommodating and kindly. Now, Seven Bridges' tasting room is a bit tricky to find but your GPS will take you there. It's slightly south of the I-405 Bridge, north of the Broadway Bridge, close to the river, on the east shore. It's a very industrial area but quite safe. Parking is usually easy. - Look, you can drive into the country for miles but, now, you don't have to. Centrally located Seven Bridges brings the country to you. Wines are primarily from the EAST Washington and Oregon regions (Walla Walla, etc.). Those are my FAVORITES (don't miss the Echo Valley Cabs.). I love them ALL. Don't miss this! read more

We LOVE Seven Bridges winery and have been there for a few tastings now and events. Having this little gem right in our own backyard, right downtown is so fortunate for us. We belong to about 8 different wine clubs, many of which are out of town. Having them close by so we can participate in their wine club events is awesome. They are friendly and helpful and I love their urban, industrial space, so cool there. I've tasted a lot of great wine and I am hard pressed to even call out my favorite there as they are all full bodied, deep and delicious. The Paradox and Prima Nata are my go to wines, the pricing is good for such beautiful wines. If you love great reds they will hook you up! read more

Seven Bridges is a phenomenal find for wine lovers. This was our first stop on our day of urban wine tasting to celebrate my upcoming wedding. We met Kevin, the co-founder/wine maker who graciously gave us a tour of the winery (they make everything there); and Jim, business partner/wine expert who led us through the tasting. Seven Bridges focuses on big wines (Bordeaux and Malbec) that are a nice change from the usual Pinots (not that I don't love Pinot!). One of my favorites was the 2011 Sangiovese. By no means am I a wine connoisseur, I'd like to consider myself as a prospect in training hahaha. I actually live 15 minutes from Woodinville Wine Country, and I have been to plenty of wine flights with my girlfriend. I actually go out of my way to get this particular brand of red wine over any other in the Northwest. Yes Washingtonians I am a traitor hahaha, but not truly a traitor, because I am familiar with the vineyards in Walla Walla and Yakima (Eastern WA). I can't say that I have tried all the different wines that Seven Bridges has to offer, but the ones I have tried were SUPERB. I strongly suggest the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, and I am really considering getting a wine club membership just to get my hands on the 2012 Cabernet Franc (which is only available to wine club members), but the hero of the show is the Prima Nata. A couple years ago my friend's mother got me interested in wine and the Prima Nata was rated as OUTSTANDING by Great Northwest Wine, and neither us tried it. To my surprise my friend's mother got her hands on some, and we were very impressed. Come to think about it, I think every time I go to visit my friend during the holidays we always open a bottle of Seven Bridges Prima Nata. I don't know if it's a nostalgia thing or just because we all enjoy it. I almost want to consider it a new tradition for us, so THANK YOU Seven Bridges for assisting in our holiday escapades hahaha! How disappointing. We came here because of the 5 stars on yelp and wow what a disappointment. The wines are not that great- mediocre at best- and the tasting room staff was so rehearsed and really didn't know anything about wine. I asked a basic question, "what's your flagship wine?" And got a total bullshit answer of "well we make a lot of wines..." I'm sorry, I've worked in the wine industry and for a small winery, you have to know Your brand. Even worse, our first tasting she poured wine and spilt some on the rim of my glass. It dripped on to my white sweater. No big deal, we cleaned it up. But then 3 tastings later, I was swirling my wine, and the tasting room associate said, "excuse me, a tip to keep your wine off yourself, swirl your wine with your glass on counter," ummm it was not my swirling that got it on myself and as a brand manager for a winery for 2 years I know how to swirl a glass of wine. We will never be back and will warn others against trying to find it with all the mis directed signs. read more

Wow! What an amazing an unique wine tasting experience right in the heart of Portland's industrial eastside. Unlike most of the tasting rooms in Oregon, Seven Bridges provides an superb collection of bold red blends from both Oregon and Washington, iIn the edgy riverside industrial area complex, that may leave you thinking you could be in the same building as a Berlin nightclub. However, don't let the location discourage you, they are the winemaker elites on the Portland Urban Winery scene. Aging their wines in barrels for at least 2 years, they have a product superior to most of what you can taste in Multnomah County. Their flagship wine called the "Primanata", a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Savingnon, Malbec, and Petit Verdou, is somthing they regularly sell by the case. The staff is amazingly friendly and knowledgable, and provide an intimate tasting experience contrary to what most local wineries offer. Bob Switzer and the Rosses do a great job creating an inviting atmosphere that with modern seating. read more

The owners / winemakers fuss over every detail throughout the entire process, beginning with the vineyards they source from, through the processing and fermentation, and even the hand bottling and labeling. We have been to many winery's. In Washington, Oregon, and California. This winery really stands out for two reasons. First they have amazing red wine. I've tasted there twice and have yet to try anything I didn't like. They have been very accommodating when asked to taste something not opened. The second reason this winery stands out is the tasting room hostess, Marissa. She is very knowledgeable about everything that is happening at the winery and with the wine. She will answer any and all of your question. She is very friendly and dislikes seeing an empty glass. If you like wine, don't miss this one!!! read more

We stopped in the winery a few Saturday's ago and loved the urban location, the reds (the Malbec was a personal favorite) and chatting with the owners (and winemakers) who have built the business up from a start in their garage.
