Very touristy, but very well organized! You will need to pre-pay and schedule your time a lot to visit. The falls are beautiful! Take the steps to the top for the full experience (or wuss out and take the elevator). There is a restaurant on site and a gift shop at the top! Be prepared to walk a 1/2 mile on the paved road to get to the bottom of the falls. * you must park at the lot and take the shuttle; it's about 10-12 minutes one way.

The falls are beautiful, however, a bit misleading in the number. The gps to park is not correct either. You must park at the event center and take the shuttle. Then it is about a 20 minute walk to the first fall stairs. There is a bathroom along the way. It would have been helpful to have a water refill station too. Plan ahead and purchase a morning entry and bring plenty of water. Take your time and enjoy the back trails.

Seven Falls is known as "the grandest mile of scenery in Colorado". I would agree with that assessment, though Colorado has some pretty unbelievable stretches of scenery. I believe Seven Falls a fun visit. According to a sign I took a picture of... "Seven Falls - where the South Cheyenne Canyon Creek Cascades 181 feet down a granite cliff, forming seven distinct waterfalls". This sign made another very interesting fact... "Seven Falls is the only waterfall in Colorado to make National Geographic's list of International Waterfalls". To summarize the experience here... You get the opportunity to playfully (or strenuously, lol) climb staircases viewing down, over and beside seven separate tiers of waterfalls. All seven waterfalls have their own names and historical references to them. Here are details about Seven Falls... - It's located in Colorado Springs and because there are so many natural wonders located here, they now encourage making reservations online and choosing time slots for when you'd like to visit. Also, you are instructed to drive to a parking lot nearby and then they offer a free shuttle bus to take you near the falls. - It was $19 in total for an adult ticket. I purchased mine the day before I wanted to go and there was almost every time spot available. Seven Falls is open every day from 10am - 8pm, except for Tuesdays. - You can buy a ticket the day of, but it's just so much easier and more convenient to have your secured time picked and know you're guaranteed of coming. - They send you a confirmation email when you book online. In this email is the address where they ask you to park. Parking is free. The address is...1045 Lower Gold Camp Rd. The shuttle bus drive from the parking lot to the Seven Falls entrance is about 15 minutes. - After entering the grounds, they hand you a self guiding map. You must walk about 3/4th's of a mile to get into the heart of the action. Once you arrive, there are two main sections to Seven Falls... 1. Eagles Nest Viewing Platform. Most visitors do this staircase climb first. It's 185 steps to an overlook vista point looking down on Seven Falls. Eagles nest is a pretty dramatic viewpoint capturing the surroundings of Colorado's beautiful mountains. - If you don't want to climb 185 steps to Eagles Nest, they have the easy alternative...and that's taking the Mountain Elevator. Most folks climbed the steps up and then took the elevator back down. That's what I did. 2. The next big event/attraction is climbing to Seven Falls and eventually high enough that you're standing above all the waterfalls. Here's what you can expect... - There's a waterfall located right at the base. That's called Hill Falls. Hill Falls - "a fan waterfall that gets wider at the base of its descent." - Next, it's time to climb 224 more steps to the top of all the waterfalls. At the halfway point, you can stop and appreciate the landscape below. At this point you can also catch a good glimpse of Shorty Falls - "a plunge waterfall where the water free falls without touching the underlying rock". - Finally, that last push to the top offers more panoramic sights from very high above. Viewing down on it all can be scary. But, there's plenty of handrails to hold onto. Again, at the summit there's another waterfall to observe, but I don't recall taking a picture of the sign with the name on it. At the summit you can hit the hiking trails. There are two of them. Or, you can observe the sceneries and absorb the fresh air before heading down the staircases. The two hiking trails aren't difficult and I'd suggest attempting them to give you the most bang for your buck. Otherwise, you can return to the base and stop at the little gift shop to grab a souvenir or...they do have a restaurant on the grounds if you'd like a sit down meal. Here's info on the two trails... - Midnight Falls - less than 1 mile long and takes maybe 20 minutes maximum. You get to see Midnight Waterfall though it's just okay. - Inspiration Point Trail - this goes for roughly 1 mile each way and has a little elevation. You walk through the forest and end at Inspiration Point. Inspiration Point is supposed to be one of these lookouts that offers fantastic observation views from the cliffside. Unfortunately it was overcast the entire day for my visit and I couldn't see through the fog. Overall, I used about 4 hours out of the day here. And that's generously taking my time. Most visitors stay on average about 2.5 hours. I think what I liked most about Seven Falls is it's another worthwhile activity in Colorado Springs. There is so much to do in this city. I spent a week exploring and left with happy memories. Seven Falls may not offer the best looking waterfalls or the most picturesque ones, but it's not hard to visit and you feel quickly transported into the great outdoors.

This is the Walt Disney version of the wild West and waterfalls plus the restaurant is fabulous. Very entertaining but not for the faint of heart or those afraid of heights given the large number of stairs.

As you plan your visit, consider booking earlier times online to beat the wait, heat and long lines, as well as your breath for the hike up! The shuttle service was pleasant to and from the falls; both drivers were accommodating & charismatic. **Use the restroom before arriving to the parking lot, you'll have quite a hike before reaching the restrooms** The walk up was dazzling, especially with several pit stops or short trails along the left side of the hike. The width of the hike is perfect for both pedestrian and shuttles, particularly for busy days! Climbing up the steep stairs is exciting, rewarding and can be laborious-- remember your water and to take deep breaths and your time (it's ok to tell others to go past you). There are two climbing options/viewpoints, but only one has elevator access. Though we didn't check out their restaurant, we did visit their gift shop for popsicles (watermelon & strawberries-and-cream were delicious, $5 each), water (drinks also $5) and souvenirs. Either come prepared with snacks and drinks, or come ready to spend $$ Enjoyable experience, next time we will look into their zip-line packages!

I had an amazing time hiking up the 224 stairs. A little out of breath but I did it. Hiked up the 20 minute trail and it was well worth it.

The hike up to the stairs was beautiful and I was very grateful that there was a small gift shop that had cold water. The stairs were genuinely one of the scariest things I've ever done in my life but the end result was definitely worth it. The main stairs were thankfully all equal in size and height but the rock stairs at the top were uneven and I almost fell. Woops! The bus situation was Okay, the line started in the middle of the parking lot and I was a little lost but we found it on time thankfully. Would recommend going if you want an easy hike with some challenges such as walking up 224 steps of stairs.

The short walk/hike up Seven Falls is beautiful. The landscape is well kept, you'll see several waterfalls along the way. You have the option of taking the tram or walking up to Seven Falls, we decide to walk. There's also an elevator that will take you up to get a beautiful glimpse of the waterfalls. I don't think anything beats going to the stairs right next to the waterfalls. Stairs are really steep. Parking is located about 15 mins off the trail. You will be instructed to park at a designated location and a shuttle will pick you up and drop you off in front of the Seven Falls gate. There's a small convenient store located next to the first set of stairs. There's also a restaurant located next to the waterfalls, that offers indoor and outdoor dining.

Get your legs ready for a workout that's well worth the effort. Shuttle service if you stay at three Broadmoor or not. A well maintained park that is truly a great way to spend a few hours of your trip. The first lookout spot you can walk up the metal, super secure walk what feels like 1000 stairs. It's probably only 100, or take the elevator. There's a nice fossil/Rock/Minerals shop. You can look out and see the falls and the nearby zipllners. Then check out the 226 steps up to the side of the 7 falls. Incredible views and if your legs aren't jello when you're done, you are a better person than me. I'd say get there by a couple hours before dusk. We loved it. We appreciate how well the property is maintained

I was really pretty and definitely a challenge. 7 falls ??? More like 1 fall with several layers. Bad direction fyi get on website and maybe it will help you. You will drive to it then get directed about 15 minutes away to park.

Such a breath taking view. Unfortunately, we came on a very hot day, and the heat made the hike a struggle for some of us. However, it was still an amazing view. The stairs heading up was a beast. I workout regularly and still had to take my time heading up, but it was totally worth it. The little souvenir shops they have are cute. My son bought a crystal, and the Denver pops were so good. I'm so glad we came.

It is December, 2024 and the website seems to have no tickets for the week of our July trip. Are they really sold out, or do I need to wait for them to go on sale on a certain date?

So be prepared for a little bit of a hairy ride. it will be the 2nd parking lot on your right. There is a fairly large parking lot, however it fills up quickly especially on a weekend. I'm not 100% certain, but I think that you are allowed to take your dogs off leash on this trail. I certainly never saw any signs stating otherwise and out of maybe 10 dogs we saw, half were on leash and a half off. It was a beautiful hike however we were not prepared and did not have water or maybe a hiking stick for me, at least. The beginning part of the trail is a wide open fire lane, but once you get back there it's a trail with a gradual uphill climb the entire way that turns even steeper towards the end. I was definitely asking "how much longer" for the last half-hour and really regretting that I didn't have water with me as my sensitive back started to ache. On our way down as we passed other hikers, they were asking the same question about "how much longer". The gradual uphill climb the entire way can be a little much if you're not prepared for it and the journey back down to the car is much quicker since it's basically downhill the whole way. Took half the time to get down than it did to get up. The waterfall and stream were beautiful and soothing. Walking with shady tree cover much of the way and a stream next to us was a plus for the pup to get his first experience of playing in a stream. The pup definitely enjoyed himself most of all. We took this hike in early June and on our way back we got hit with a rainstorm that dropped the temperature about 20° and we were freezing and poured on by the time we got back to the car, so be prepared when coming here in the summertime!

No. Did I acclimatize myself (being a flatlander from Kansas), yes! I brought lots of water and electrolytes and of course SNACKS, because, hello!! It's a hike and all hikes need snacks; not to mention it's grueling and your body needs the fuel. I went up to the top the first time and down Barr Trail--that is no joke either. Switchbacks and seemingly "huge" step downs--it has its own "obstacles." The sun was shining full strength so it was toasty--doable as I had a sun hoodie on, but also a tad miserable. People from just about everywhere. Would I do it again? Yes. When the weather is foggy and cool. Would I want to go down the 1300 step bailout, yes. The transition of trail grades is easier than on Barr Trail IMHO, but going down the Incline is sketchy--people do it, but it's steep and the recommendation is to NOT do so. It was questionable as to whether a permit was needed. I signed up--self-proclaimed rule follower that I am--only to find no one was checking anything!! So, you do you. It might be a way to have the state of CO see how many people and from where and to sign a waiver, but otherwise no one checked. I parked at a paid lot and took a free shuttle to The Incline and back--I later found out via word of mouth that there is free parking at a park nearby where the bus stops. **As an aside, I learned the day before I was planning on going that this is no joke, people have died or have been injured on this trail--please take necessary precautions for your health and wellbeing.**

First of all, this is probably the most beautiful yet somewhat challenging short hike in town. If you want a snapshot of the grandeur awaiting you beyond the I25 corridor (and cell phone range) this is it! Absolutely beautiful. The short: for the average person of moderate or lacking fitness level, it should absolutely be doable. I would say the normal person could knock it out in less than 4 hours (with picture/selfie taking along the way and up top). Decent fitness levels should be up and down in less than 2 hours... Don't bring the cat-dog looking micro mutt as you will either be carrying it or burying it somewhere about the first hour of hiking. There is water throughout the trail so regular dogs should have a blast here. There is an issue with dog poo littering the parking lot and trails (despite free poo bags being offered at trail head... This hike is no joke. Wear proper shoes with decent traction. You can get hurt here! I would bring at least a liter (Nalgene bottle) of water during hot days. Although covered with trees throughout, the sun will beat down on you throughout the hike. I only say this because I passed a family of 5 about half way with no water. As far as short local hikes go, Stanley Canyon gets a Five from me. Awesome!
