Chief came home from his one month board and train a new dog. I'm already judging other people who's dogs aren't as perfect as my boy! He stays by my side, off leash for our walks. He only leaves my side if I give him permission and comes back immediately when I call him. Even his barking in the yard is better. All I have to do is open the back door and call him and he stops barking and comes inside. Life is so much more pleasant when I don't have to reprimand and scold my dog twenty times a day. I can't say enough about the excellent dog trainer at Seven Lakes Kennel. We hired Neil Copeland to train our 2 Blue Tick mixes after we were referred to him by another kennel in town. They called him 'the hound whisperer'. They were right - He did a fantastic job! We did the 1 month board and train for the 2 dogs and we were able to go out and work with the dogs and Neil a few times over the course of that month. Each time we visited we were blown away with the progress. We also used the kennel other times for boarding and were so impressed with his staff. Haven't taken my dogs here since the new owners took over, so I was a little anxious dropping them off. All kinds of things can happen with three bigs dogs kenneling together for 3 days. The first positive was, when dropping them off, I mentioning that one of the dogs threw up on the dog bed on the way over. The women checking me in said "no problem - we'll wash it!", and I was already impressed. Typically, one of my dogs comes home from kenneling skinny, and the other 2 fat, and all a little messy, so I gave specific feeding instructions.
