The staff at five points was wonderful with her and went the extra mile to ensuring that she was safe and stable throughout her stay. They made sure she was comfortable and keep a close eye on her at all times. Upon our return, Georgia was active, alert, and enthusiastic to see not only us but the staff members when we went in to get her. In order to assist her with her mobility issues, they tried various mat and rug configurations to make sure she was okay throughout the night. I have to admit I was concerned leaving her but whenever my husband checked the video feed she seemed content. It was a relief knowing she was so well taken care of and seeing her happy when we picked her up. They even had a detailed sign on the door of her suite outlining all of our concerns and her issues. It was reassuring to know that everyone who cared for her knew our concerns. We just hope that they enjoyed the time with Georgia as much she enjoyed spending with them. Five Points Pet Resort is more than two hours from our home and we have initially chose them because they had someone that checked on the babies in the evening. Little did we know how kind and caring everyone on staff would be. This was our second time staying at Five Points and the long drive is work every minute knowing our girl is being well cared for. Dealing with these horrible people has been one of the worst experiences we have ever been through. We patiently answered all of their highly invasive and personal questions which included questions about how we lost our pets!? My wife is one of the sweetest and most caring people I have ever known and it was heartbreaking to sit there and watch her cry for over an hour reliving these horrible events with our sweet pets. We gave them our own veterinarian as a reference! Then after all this, they extort $10 from us. We paid thinking this was the final step and we would finally get our puppy. Nope! Then they wanted a video of our home!! Who in their right mind is going to send a total stranger a video of their home?!? By the way, we have a beautiful home with 10 acres and a creek but that shouldn't matter. All that matters is we have an empty yard where a beautiful dog should be playing. The woman who groomed them was not friendly, I would describe her as standoff-ish. This was fine, I don't expect someone providing a service to be cordial or friendly but it certainly helps. The main issue occurred at their last grooming - where the woman told us she would not be able to groom our smaller dog anymore unless we drugged him. He is a senior dog who's very nervous around groomers and he peed while she groomed him. If you're a dog groomer, you have to expect this will happen. You're taking care of dogs. I couldn't believe that was her recommendation. Obviously we stopped services immediately with this company. I would caution anyone from using Graham's. Additionally, it was prohibitively expensive, at almost $500 per groom for two dogs.

As much as I liked Melo (the name I gave him due to his calm demeanor) we just didn't need a 3rd dog. So I found the no-kill MHS who assessed him, thought he was a great dog they could get adopted, and they took him in. I checked back with Jessica every couple of weeks to see how Melo was doing. She always responded promptly with an update, but unfortunately, as a bigger dog (50#), Melo wasn't getting much interest. Jessica invited me to come visit him but I declined, fearing it would be traumatic for Melo -- and knowing it would be traumatic for me. Finally, after eight weeks, I had to see him again. Melo looked terrific -- clean, vibrant, and well cared for. I immediately fell back in love with him and applied for adoption. At this point it was a little frustrating that MHS made me go through the formal adoption procedure -- since I had been the one who brought him in. But I realized this is a good thing. They did a very thorough vetting of me, my living situation, and my means to take care of Melo properly. This showed me they don't allow their dogs to be taken by just anyone with $100 -- they make the effort to assure the dog will have a caring and stable home. I've had Melo back for three days now and couldn't be happier. He is a well-mannered joy, and within an hour we had re-bonded as we were before I took him to MHS. Thanks to Jessica and MHS, Melo was given great care while in their possession. I just love this dog! I recently had the pleasure of visiting this facility, and I must say, I was truly taken aback by the exceptional 'customer service' provided by the front staff. They certainly have a unique approach to making you feel unwelcome. It's not every day you encounter such an enthusiastic attitude about being inconvenienced by a visitor. 2. I was also impressed by the shelter's 'clear' communication. After I reached out via email for some important questions, I received a response that really set the tone: apparently, emails are only responded to at the staff's convenience. 3. The shelter itself could certainly use a little TLC, but I'm sure they prioritize other things. After all, it's not every day you visit a place where the staff makes you feel like a true bother just for showing up. If you're looking for a warm and inviting place to adopt a pet, perhaps consider other options before visiting here. I would like to add that this facility did have 2 younger women who were AMAZING and KIND employees to us that made us feel so welcomed on 3/25-3/26.

It was a better price and a major difference in outcomes. Lynn was absolutely amazing and very personable. She spent time using each dog in the class for training examples and never once made me feel bad or discouraged about having a wild child of a dog. There were pups/dogs of all ages in the class too. She was always helpful and offered her knowledge about training and different circumstances that arise at home. I am looking forward to the next class and am using her 1:1 in my home to help me and pup keep learning!!

I was very thankful that they were able to squeeze us in last minute; however, upon arrival they were yelling in the back kennels for the dogs to 'shut up'. I do get it , barking dogs are annoying and honestly wrote it off; that it was the end of the day and it was likely getting the best of who ever was back there. I did not share this information with my husband as I truly wrote it off, we all have tough days, even in jobs that we love. Upon our return, my husband picked up our dogs mid day and came home telling me the same story. He said , "that place.... They give a great bath- the dogs smell amazing, but they were screaming at the dogs to 'shut up' while I waited for them to bring the dogs back." I wrote it off initially but the fact that they believe it to be okay while people are around, makes me wonder how they treat them when no one is looking. The only other complaint is that my dogs seemed to be much smaller when we picked them up after 6 days. It was either so stressful they wouldn't eat or they weren't encouraging them to eat. If they weren't eating , I'd have appreciated a call so that I could have someone bring by some treats or wet food to encourage consumption. Id say, if you're in a pinch this place might be okay; however, I don't see us using this facility again.
