Gr8 place for some quick black jack. I recommend arriving early since table openings are scarce. Beware of dealers trying to make the bets for you or making lame assumptions.

came to attend a social event in this seven mile casino, very good food and drinks, also very close to beach, good views too

Menu

Limited games go to play, wish they had 3 card poker and more double deck blackjack for $15 or $10. Not really tried the food there. But here are some pics of the menu prices as of june 30 2025

This casino and restaurant is located just off Highway 5, exit E Street near the bay front in Chula Vista. Have been here twice now, once with munchkin and once without. Have been met each time with friendly, hospitable and quick service... Not to mention GREAT food and drinks! There are no slots but several table for getting your gaming on, as you venture towards the back of the casino you are met with a vibrant bar and restaurant area. They offer outside seating, and the ambience was different around the holiday season - but delightful. The first time we came for an early dinner and was pleasantly surprised with a pasta/pizza that was ordered. This time we came for breakfast (although it was after 12pm) and so happy to hear they still served breakfast. Ordered a few items... chilaquiles, duck tacos and a sammy. The duck tacos were bite size, cute and flavorful and placed on the plate with sour cream holding them down. The chilaquiles was delicious as the beef was simply mouth watering, the salsa verde was flavorful with a kick (menu mentions spicy) but all-in-all delicious. The Sammy sandwich was a bit dry for my liking, which is probably why I like a monte cristo sandwich better. In any event my SO ate it just fine. The truffle potatoes were interesting, delicious and flavorful little pops of potatoes. We will definitely be back to try other menu items as this place has an extensive menu. The drinks were delicious and strong, as well as reasonably priced at $12 each. They do offer a discount for members who come to play at their casino and eat... that discount is 35% off. We will definitely come to play and eat next time!

This was my first time eating at the restaurant in this casino, and 90% of everything was terrible. The only thing that was good, was the alcoholic drinks. The bartender was great, no complaints there. We ordered 2 pizzas, the Sicilian and the Thai chicken, and both were disgusting! We each barely ate 2 slice and couldn't take anymore. They didn't have any Pepsi, so we ordered oJ, and it tasted rotten. It's been a long time since I've been anywhere, and everything tasted terrible. The food was the same quality as a school cafeteria, it was highly disappointing.

Dining here is absolutely fabulous. The spa is heavenly and the rewards are good! When i first played here almost a year ago, they were giving me 500$ free play on Saturdays and during the week it was also about 500$ freeplay with crack the safe and weekly freeplay. I also got 200$ in spa and for food, 100$ at prime. I was definitely wowed by this!!! I guess i lost so much the first time they really rewarded me! After, I stopped coming around so much so ofc my rewards would wane. I love tony gwynn and Lou, the manager. I also love the lobster buffet at jamul 23. Its fabulous. Prime is also a wonderful restaurant with great food and service. I have lost thousands here and just bc the service is magnificent, I like to come here! The bars here isn't too bad either!

First off you book the cabana and day beds on OpenTable. I thought it was odd since it had time slots for the cabana, I booked 1 pm that was the only one available for that day. We arrive to the casino early to hit the tables. I went up to see if we could check in early for the day beds around 12:15. Upon arrival Anthony was station at the check in table, he mentions to me the cabanas are all booked and they will set up tables for us. I was highly upset when I heard that. I booked a week in advance and come to find out I am not getting one. They never reached out to let us know this would be the result of a system fail and being told after driving out to jamul. I asked to speak to someone, not sure if the lady I spoke to was a manager or what but she was clearly not trained. She kept saying she had to ask her manager as I asked why can't I get a cabana that was open, that party has not arrived yet. The reason I didn't get the one I had was due to that party being here first. Also on the booking you don't choose what cabana you get! Flash forward my party is starting to arrive and still no resolution. The director was called, to see if we could get the cabana that was open and by then someone else with the same issue just sat there and said they are not moving. We ended up getting the table set up and the fiesta package which includes tacos chicken and steak. He also gave us a fruit platter and charcuterie board. Refunded my money. The food took awhile to come out. We probably got served like 2 hours after we sat down. Honestly the pool is nice and all but the service from the pool staff was not good. Pool staff meaning the runners for your food and drinks. I got a pitcher drink and they were so busy they ran out of pitchers and fruit to make the drink. The runner told me that and offered the pitcher instead. When she came back with it she just shoved it on the table. With trying to find room to put it down. I appreciate what the director did and Anthony for checking in on us to make sure we were having a good time. Would I return probably not due to the lack of training to the staff and slow service.

I had packed to stay but was one of those who wanted to just go home but because my husband was away in Hemet with our dog I decided that I'd take my friends suggestion and stay. Originally there would have been more than just me staying so we had opted for a room with two beds. I ended up sleeping on the bed closest to the AC. The room had complimentary waters but I had brought a pack and snacks for our "after pool party." just in case we needed more. The room itself is super spacious even with all of us in it meaning 8 people there was still so much room. The blackout blinds were truly black outty and the bathroom was really large and perfect for just me. The shower had good water pressure and made me feel nice and relaxed after hours in the sun. I brought my own blanket but didn't really need it the pillows were comfy even though I hoarded them from both beds, would definitely stay in room again. I felt safe on my own and just had the best time sleeping in AC.

The smoking smell can be a bit much. The housekeeping apparently doesn't clean unless you ask. Didn't know this so had no housekeeping for four days. The 21 and up environment is great for adults who want to be adults without kids running around. The restaurants are decent. I would recommend Viewpoint for breakfast/brunch and dinner. The staff there during morning and night were all great. Rank and File is also a good choice for dinner. I only had soup from the Pink Buddha which was just okay. Bull and Bourbon was an absolute no for me. They took our reservation at 8:30pm, my party showed up early and got seated before then. We didn't get our food until after closing which was 10pm and it was cold. They then had started throwing out their food for the night. So we felt rushed and no dessert. Our waitress claimed that we didn't get seated until 9, which was false. She came to us at 9 and it felt like we were a forgotten party. The pool is great, especially the lazy river. We got a cabana which was great to have a dedicated spot. However we were not informed beforehand that the cabana rental was over at 5pm. The pool is open until 8. Really the only part of this resort that saved this review was the front desk staff for check in/out, Tara from the front desk, Viewpoint for breakfast and dinner, Rank and File - specifically JJ, I believe that was her name. Omg and for the male bartenders at the pool, pour the damn drinks and stop flirting. I shouldn't have to wait over 5 minutes for you to pour one god damn cocktail and then half arse my $30+ Pina Colada. The female bartenders at the pool were friendly and made the drinks properly.

---Very rude and disrespectful unprofessional employees.--/…read moreOn April 12, around 8 pm, I was in the casino area. A woman won a huge jackpot and went to the restroom. I was sitting two seats away from her, and two casino attendants were standing nearby, waiting for her to return. Out of curiosity, I approached the attendants to see what was happening and asked, "How much did she win?" smiling. The Latina girl turned around with a dirty look, , and the other, with long black hair tied up, responded with a stern face, "We don't disclose the amount," rudely and disrespectfully. Does she know how to say politely, kindly, "Sorry, ma'am, we don't disclose the amount"? Politely with respect? I am a regular customer who has been coming here for years and spends a lot of money. Her rude attitude is not acceptable in this kind of business. This isn't about policy; it's about mannerisms toward customers, which are unprofessional and unacceptable! This is a place where people come to enjoy and be entertained. Her nasty attitude needs to be corrected and trained. I reported this issue to their manager, who seems to be a distinguished African gentleman with glasses, and I hope he takes this matter seriously, reports it to management, and corrects this kind of disrespect and rudeness in this casino.

I'm also 6 months pregnant, so minimizing extra walking was a huge plus. This stay was Tuesday-Wednesday right before Comic-Con, so I completely understand the hotel and surrounding area were busier than usual with setup crews and event preparations. The location is fantastic, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Check-in was smooth, and our room was ready when we arrived around noon. We opted for valet parking ($70 for hotel guests) since downtown was hectic, and it seemed like the easiest option. After dropping off our bags, we spent a few hours exploring the Gaslamp Quarter before returning around 3 p.m. to get ready for the concert. When we got back to our room, there was a large rollaway bed and bedding inside our hotel room that we never requested. I called the front desk immediately to let them know there had been a mistake, and they assured me someone would pick it up right away. By the time we left for the concert an hour later, it was still there, so I stopped by the front desk to remind them again. When we returned after the concert, the bed had finally been removed. Unfortunately, it revealed something much worse...a dead cockroach on the carpet where the bed had been sitting. Since it was almost midnight and we were exhausted, my husband trashed it, but as someone who's especially queasy (and pregnant), it was very unsettling. The next morning we decided to have breakfast at Maryjane's, the restaurant connected to the hotel. We were seated immediately around 9 a.m., and while the restaurant wasn't very busy, our food took about 45 minutes to arrive. Even our server checked on it multiple times, so we think our ticket may have gotten lost. Thankfully, the food itself was great once it arrived. After breakfast we returned to our room, grabbed our bags, and checked out via text at 10:19 a.m. Then came the biggest frustration of the stay: valet. There were about 6-8 groups waiting outside when we requested our car, and we were told the wait would be about 10 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes, I asked for an update and was assured our keys had just gone out and our car would be one of the next few. 20 more minutes passed. I started asking other guests how long they had been waiting, and one woman who had just received her car said she'd only waited about 25 minutes. At that point, I went back to the valet stand and explained we'd been waiting nearly an hour. The valet host looked around, only to discover our keys were still sitting in the key box...they had never even been sent out to retrieve our vehicle. To his credit, he apologized sincerely, moved our keys to the front of the queue, and contacted the front desk to comp our valet charges before I even had to ask. The valet attendant who eventually brought our car also apologized, and we finally left at 11:24 a.m.--over an hour after requesting our vehicle. I understand this may have been a perfect storm with Comic-Con preparations, and I appreciate that they comped the valet after realizing the mistake. Still, between the abandoned rollaway bed, the dead cockroach, the long breakfast delay, and waiting over an hour because our car request was never processed, this wasn't the experience I expected from a hotel with this reputation, location, and price point . The location truly is amazing if you're visiting Petco Park or the Gaslamp Quarter, but unfortunately, the service issues overshadowed what could have been a great stay. I hope this was simply an off week, but based on our experience, I'm not sure we'd choose to stay here again.
