I chose this company based on reviews so feel compelled to write one. I'd choose this company with caution. I was moving from one unit within a building to another one, so I knew my move would take less than the two hour minimum, so my comments are not about that. I feel their pricing was reasonable. They called me the day before my scheduled move and asked if they could move me that evening instead and said that even if I wasn't 100% packed (I wasn't) that it probably would only add 15-20 minutes to my move time. I figured I'd go along with it and they nevertheless completed my move in well under the 2 hour minimum. The guys didn't really want to move my loose things and did leave a bunch of stuff I ended up having to move myself after the fact, but I gave them a generous tip because I knew I had several boxes of heavy books and they all seemed to be working really hard. Here's my issue -- they damaged most of my larger items (which probably could've been avoided if they slowed down) which I didn't discover until well after they left because they stacked everything I owned in one room, so it took me a while to discover the damages. Here's what I've found so far... (1) the corner of my sofa is bent back somehow and now needs to be against a wall (2) found a large chunk missing in my coffee table leg. Ended up replacing. (3) my bookshelf has a major dent in a corner (4) my brand new stainless steel trash can, which I'd acquired a month prior, was clearly dropped. There are scrapes and dents all along the top (5) my long sofa table has gashes along the top face (6) my underbed drawers are damaged at the edges. I don't know how the rest of my bed fared because of the configuration of my new bed room. The icing on the cake is my sunglasses, which I had on when they arrived and set down near where they put down their paperwork while they were moving things, also went missing the day of the move. The lead guy ran back to my old place to grab the paperwork while I was at the new place, and I never found my sunglasses again. I don't know if they took them (or why anyone would take sunglasses) but find it odd I had them on when they arrived and never found them again after they left. I'm not the careless type with my things. Bottom line: They work hard and won't waste your time money-wise if you just have a lot of boxes, but if you have anything that could get damaged, tread carefully. No moving company is perfect and would have understood damage to one or two things, but I am disappointed at the extent of things dented and scraped. read more

I have moved several times in the past few years, but coordinating the move with Eugene and his team was by far the best experience. They were moving my belongings from Boston to Ithaca. I had already arrived in Ithaca, so they had to coordinate with my housemate in Boston to pick up my things. They graciously worked with her schedule. There were around twenty boxes and a few other items. Three men moved everything from the 4th floor without an elevator in less than 15 minutes. In Ithaca, it was one person, Erke, but he was very efficient and fast. They always call exactly an hour before arriving, and do the job as smoothly as possible. Moving is always so much more than transporting things from one place to another. It is nerve racking, and having good movers is truly a blessing during these moments. A friend of a friend recommended them. They were really good. Three guys came, they got everything out of the apartment and into the new place really quickly, nothing broke, they were polite, and very reasonably priced. They give a 5% discount if you pay cash, but will accept cards. I could not ask for much more. Update: we used them again for two more moves. Each time, they were stellar. Max was wonderful, I don't remember the other guy's name but they were hardworking and good spirited, despite 5°F temps and having to carry items up a very long, somewhat icy driveway. read more

I never write Yelp reviews but these guys were amazing! I had a 1 bedroom move where the new place was up 3 flights of stairs, it was pouring rain when they arrived. They were so incredibly efficient, and careful with my items making sure to plastic wrap and/or cover everything important with a blanket, nothing was affected by the rain and not a scratch on a single item. They were kind enough to disassemble and reassemble my bed frame as well and help me set it up in the new place before they left. Very kind, so efficient, and an extremely reasonable rate. I've never hired movers before and so we got a number of quotes. Seven Moving had the best rates and after experiencing their efficiency- we clearly made the best choice! Zurab was communicative and even called the night before to add another mover because it was supposed to be extremely hot on our move day. Our movers were professional, kind and swift. Everyone wore masks and the charges were reviewed upfront. We moved from a two bedroom, two floor apartment into a second floor condo and the move was complete in under two hours! We unexpectedly had to hoist a box spring up and over the deck and the movers were able to accommodate that without a problem. Can't recommend this company enough! Sorry if this is cliché to say, but we really got the five-star service. This was my first time hiring movers, so I was very nervous about how it was going to turn out. I saw that these guys had mostly five-star reviews so I figured I'd give them a try. I got a quote within a half-hour, and it seemed very reasonable. Coincidentally, I told a friend a few days later that I was hiring movers. "Did you go with Seven?" he said. "I've moved with them a few times. They're the best." :) They guys who showed up were punctual, polite, and professional. Within a half hour they had moved most of the small boxes down six stories without complaint, even though my tiny, sketchy elevator doesn't always open (lol). They arrived at my new spot before I did and started unloading right away. The entire five hours they worked, they only took one break (!!) and they were pleasant and speedy the whole time they worked. No lollygagging or dilly-dallying in sight. I hired Seven Moving to help with a fairly straightforward move from storage in a garage in the 'burbs to a 2-bdrm apartment in Brookline, but had to coordinate it while I was out of town and have my parents help out. I actually scheduled our move on the wrong day (a week or from what we planned) , didn't realize it until I asked for an ETA at 3pm, and these absolute legends got a truck to us in an hour! They didn't even charge extra, though I offered to up the hourly rate given the extremely short notice. The move itself was expertly done, everything delicate handled with extreme care (even our two super heavy motorized standing desks that, to make it even harder, had to go up two flights of stairs), and they were so so fast I could barely believe it. Misha and Erzhan helped me move with 4 days' notice during a Nor'easter. They were very fast, careful, and professional in addition to being pleasant people. My move included picking up furniture and boxes from 3 different towns and delivering to a fourth. Everything was completed (48 miles) within 3 hours door 1 to door 4 including dis- and re-assembling furniture. There were no hidden charges - hourly rate + a few dollars extra for special packaging + previously agreed upon travel fees - just like Zurab wrote up in his quote. Hired three movers for my large 1 bedroom (2nd and 3rd floor) and they moved everything within 3 hrs to my new apartment (1st floor). Assembled and disassembled my furniture as well and asked where everything should go. If I had to nitpick, the estimate wasn't particularly close. I called this company on short notice and informed them that I needed a heavy desk moved from the bottom level of my house to the first floor. I spoke with Zheuga and he informed me that they could do it later the same day. They called me back and told me that around 6 pm he would send two men over to move it. I agreed that it was fine. Two young men showed up and within an hour they had the desk moved to the location I wanted. They were very polite and concerned that no damage was done. The price was very fair . Professional and efficient. I contacted 5 companies for a quote. They were the first to respond. The only other company to respond took a few days to do so. Throughout the process, they communicated quickly via email. All of my questions were answered, and I felt comfortable going ahead with them. On they day of the move, they maintained contact with me by phone to give me any updates on their ETA. They had told me beforehand that they would supply boxes and could help me pack - specifically, I needed help with packing my dishes and glasses. When they arrived, I started to pack the boxes they supplied (for free), anticipating that I would be able to finish before they emptied out my apartment. I was wrong. They were super fast. Before I knew it, all of the big boxes and such were out of my apartment, and I was left looking like a fool trying to pack my dishes. No matter. They packed my dishes, and they packed my clothes (in hangers with garbage bags, as Jeff B. described) much faster than I could have done. I also had a decently sized sofa that was maddeningly difficult for me to bring into my apartment. They moved it out with ease. I had to move unexpectedly when I was abroad and looked on yelp for several companies and asked for quotes. I saw that Seven Moving had a great price and was available on the date I had to move. I called them to make sure they had the proper information and it was very easy to communicate with them because they were so responsive. I forgot to write about this. The only reason I'm writing about it now is because I just recommended them to my boss. I moved near the end of September. It was a move within the same town I live in, and I didn't have alot of stuff, but still where I lived was complicated to get this brought down from the top floor the way the stairs moved. If I tried to do it with people, it would have been a pain in the neck. The two guys that they sent did an awesome job, and they had me moved out and dropped off in 45 minutes tops.
