Rented the slide pontoon for two families in August 2025. 10 people total. The boat was awesome, very new, clean and ran well. We had plenty of room with our group of 10. The marina was also very nice with modern amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. If you have youngsters, I would suggest bringing your own life jackets but otherwise we had a great time and will definitely do it again!

The Lil Mo was a steep rental coming in around $2150 with fuel and oil usage, but for our bachelor party it fit the bill..and what a fantastic time. The pontoon was in excellent condition- clean and ran perfectly with no issues. The lake is beautiful and we made a lifetime of great memories- so it was worth it! We'll try to be back sooner and maybe do a fishing trip with the guys sometime after the wedding. Thx 7 points marina staff- very courteous folks. Wish the veteran status qualified you for the military discount, but unfortunately only honor the 10% off to active military and not retired or veterans that already served. Please consider changing that policy as it would help out that of us who honorably served in the past.

River Edge Rv Camp & Marina

This is our 4th year as a seasonal at this campground. So we definately enjoy coming here year…read moreafter year. Located along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River in Winfield, Pa. This is probably one of the best located campgrounds along the river. The West branch is the clean side of the Susquehanna and boaters regularly come up here to tie off and enjoy the water. It is also located directly between Selinsgrove and Lewisburg. That makes it real handy for visiting Selinsgrove Brewing in Selinsgrove and Laughing Chameleon in Lewisburg. The people that camp here are what really makes it enjoyable. However this place also has its issues. The maintainance by the owners is horrible. We are always in fear of a tree or tree branches falling onto our campers. We have been without power at our site for most of the season do far. We are plugged into a site across the creek so we have power but none of the other 3 sites Ali g side us have power. There is no camp store here at all to get supplies from which just baffles my mind. And there are rarely ever any weekend campers that come in. It is usually just us seasonal campers. I could go on but will just stop there. With all that said we still love it here in spite of the ownership.

This used to be a nice fun place years ago, then the lack of ground maintenance and the owner's…read moreneed for personal involvement in guests' lives has run the place into the ground. Check out our shared photos showing the faulty electrical, unusable water, and general unsafe conditions where dead trees fall at any given time, and you will see why you want to avoid this place at any cost. Faulty wires and dangerous overloaded circuits cause several campers to have their electronics fried. 12 camping sites were told they couldn't use their air conditioners on the hottest days of 2018 because they had the circuits so overloaded you couldn't get more than 80 volts out of a 120 volt line. They literally tie extension cords together and run them to the tent sites for power! The water quality is 100% unusable. The river water is actually cleaner than the tap water. The owner likes to make 100's of rules and then travels from site to site gossiping about the other guests. Real professional way to run a business? The small group that she uses as her spies, however, has immunity to the rules and can do whatever they want. If you approach her with a maintenance issue or problems you are experiencing she throws her hands in the air and says "what do you want me to do about it?" We want you to fix it, that's normally what a groundskeeper does especially when you are paying almost $1600 a year, plus $400 for a boat dock that was pulled out weeks earlier despite the stated camping CONTRACT dates. They market it as family friendly but the playground is unsafe for kids. Every time another dead tree falls they chop it up and dump it in the playground lot. There is a huge pile of logs which has become habitat for snakes, raccoons and rodents. This is literally a few feet from where your children are supposed to play. The rats have even eaten holes through guests campers! Hopefully in the near future an investor buys it out and restores it back to what it once was, but at this point the place is so far gone it seems hopeless, and the owner could care less once she gets your check. There used to be a lot of great people there and everyone treated each other like family, but those days are gone since the owner has basically chased everyone away with her personal meddling and lack of professionalism. Opossum Lake - Evening paddling

When I admitted I'd never been to Opossum Lake, she looked at me like I was missing out and told me I needed to check it out. Well...challenge accepted! When I got home, I looked it up and discovered it was only about 25 minutes from my house. Somehow, yet again, I had managed to overlook another great outdoor spot practically in my own backyard. A beautiful four-mile trail around a lake? Count me in! I headed out early on a mid-July Sunday morning, hoping to beat both the heat and the crowds. GPS brought me right to the parking area without any trouble, and even though there were already quite a few people there fishing, I had no problem finding a parking spot. The trail itself was fantastic! One of the things I appreciated most was how much the terrain changed throughout the loop. Parts of the trail were covered with crushed stone, others with pine needles, tanbark or natural dirt. It kept the hike interesting without ever becoming difficult. The entire four-mile loop is well-marked, easy to follow and beautifully shaded, making it an excellent summer hike even when temperatures start creeping up. The recent rain left a few muddy spots along the trail, but nothing that slowed me down. PRO TIP: If you're hiking after a rainstorm, use a little extra caution on the wooden footbridges. They can get a bit slick. The trail offered plenty to see along the way. I spotted birds, turtles and beautiful views across the lake and I found myself stopping more than once simply to enjoy the peaceful scenery. One unexpected highlight came when I crossed the spillway bridge. The interpretive signs explaining the history of the dam, the high-water markers and why the bridge was built so high above the creek added a neat educational element to the hike that I wasn't expecting. I always appreciate when a place teaches me something while I'm out exploring. Beyond hiking, it's easy to see why Opossum Lake has become such a popular recreation area. Throughout my visit I saw anglers casting from the shoreline, boats out enjoying the water and families making use of the many picnic areas scattered around the lake. Whether you're looking to hike, fish, paddle or simply enjoy a peaceful picnic, there's plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the scenery. I can already tell Opossum Lake is going to earn a permanent spot on my short list of local hikes. It's close to home. It's easy enough to enjoy without needing to mentally prepare for a mountain expedition. And it's beautiful enough that it never feels like "just another walk." Sometimes you want a huge adventure. Sometimes you just want to lace up your hiking boots, get a few peaceful miles under your belt and spend some time outside. Opossum Lake is absolutely perfect for those days!

The distance around the lake is, I think, about 3 or 3 1/2 miles and there are some small hills, steps, and mostly dirt or pine-needle-covered terrain. When it comes to fishing, trout is sought after! After day-time activities you can cool of at the sand beach located on the lake. Around that area they have pagodas and barbecues that are great for picnicking! They also have a playground with multiple slides for the kids! During the winter time, they also have plenty of activities including snowmobiling, sledding and ice skating! The bathrooms here are new and clean so you can change into your bathing suit at the park! I would highly recommend this Park!
