The quality of the massage here is ok for the price you pay, but I want to warn others of their sneaky practices! My friend and I asked for 30 min foot massages. A few minutes in, a guy came over and just started massaging my shoulder and said nothing. I was confused because I didn't know if they do this for everyone's foot massage or what but I fully believe you should ask the client before starting a paid service. A few minutes later, another guy came over and also started massaging my friends shoulder. My friend said she didn't want anything because it would cost extra, right? The guy massaging my shoulder then said, you want 30 minutes shoulder, face and arms? I was like uhhh how much does that cost? It was double what I had agreed to for my feet so I said no I'm ok. He then said, how about 10 minutes? Mind you, he had already massaged my shoulder (which again, I never requested) for 5 minutes so I felt bad and said ok fine 10 minutes, no face. My friend still opted out and the guy sighed. I heavily disagree with this practice because I find it very sneaky and that they hope clients feel bad and say yes. Any paid service should always be disclosed and ASKED to the client before beginning. My total for both services came out to $46 cash and I gave a $10 tip which is more than a 20% tip despite me not loving how the service/situation went down. My masseuse proceeded to ask me for tip for the guy who did my 10 min shoulder massage. Like what? I asked him to split it with him and he said ok but I was very turned off that he even requested this. They gave me a total of the services and I tipped off the total. My husband and I stopped in here for a full body Swedish massage. I unfortunately didn't get get our massage therapists names but they were phenomenal. They cracked everything, both my husband and I were talking about how they did so good on our entire body. I have sciatica issues and the pressure applied with his elbows in the center of my glute and down the center of my thighs hurts like hell but I literally have no pain anymore. I don't know how to describe the pressure, it was hard and intense but not too deep which I've had too deep in the past where I could barely walk and had bruises this was more firm pressure with effleurage and they used hot stones without me even asking. After the long 4.5 hours on a plane to get here. My back was killing me. The hotel bed was comfortable but I had just enough knots in my back that I knew I needed some help. Read the reviews for seven Qi Spa, and they didn't disappoint! Love being able to walk in when I'm in pain and not call and wait 2 hours or we can fit you in next week... doesn't work when traveling. The techniques used by the therapists were excellent, and every part of our bodies felt rejuvenated. Seven Qi was a block away from my hotel and when I'd walk by, they'd catcall me. Still, walking all over and having a necrosing talus (ankle) and torn ACL and meniscus, I decided I'd "treat" myself to a full body massage. I knew that it wasn't going to be an immersive experience, more the dive bar of massage places, but even a bad massage is a massage. There was an obvious language barrier but I am a sucker for hot stones and when the massager (I won't call her a therapist) said hot stones, I quickly agreed -- that makes the massage a 90 minute massage for almost $40 more; that part wasn't told to me. Still, I'm on vacation so why not? There were no "safe words". While I was face down, she got on the table and pushed my feet back to my shoulders (bent at the knee) which *really* hurt my ACL and meniscus. I was adjusting my body to try to make it better and she did not catch on. Still, I was feeling pretty worked over at the end, my body manipulated and hips readjusted. When I was paying, the massage person used Google translate to tell me that I have a toxic condition. I looked at her and gave that "huh?" look. She pointed to my shoulders and inner thigh. I didn't really know what to say at that point. I think it was a move to get me back in on a regular basis but I don't live here (I think the business needs to recognize that the majority of their business is tourists) and the language barrier would have, I think, prevented a conversation about her diagnosis. I am still thinking about what she could be talking about. I trust Asian wellness and wonder what she meant and what I could do about it, but I also wonder if it's a ploy for more business. read more

I was visiting New Orleans for Super Bowl weekend and really needed a massage, my husband and I stumbled upon this location while searching yelp. We decided not to trust the bad reviews and give them a chance. We decided to do a full body massage and we were both super relaxed and both thought it was one of the best massages we've ever had. The people complaining about being uncharged or pressured by the upsell, they asked us once if we wanted hot oil and we said no. Definitely didn't feel pressure or a hard sell. After a couple of days walking around NOLA our legs were definitely starting to feel it. We kept walking by Seven Qi Spa but it looked a little run down. However one day on our way back to our hotel we saw a large group of seniors and their family walk out of here and decided to bite the bullet to get our feet and legs worked on. The staff were super friendly and sat us on some chairs near the front. The lounge chairs were OK. We took off our shoes and our socks and got a warm towel wipe down. They gave worked our feet and calves for the next little bit and it felt great. I wanted to take a nap on the spot. The legs felt way less tense and were much relaxed. When our time was up, the legs felt great and another round of NOLA was possible. Socks and shoes on, we went to pay and tip and out the door we went. Super friendly staff. Pricing is clear. Stayed at the Ritz for a conference and this place is across the street. Professional, respectful and good foot massage. We went 4 days in a row and did 30 min foot massage and 40 min foot and body. Don't get undressed, they are basically like tai massages. Sanitary, wearing gloves. Would recommend if you are looking for a place to get a massage on the fly, we just walked in and were asked what service we wanted and then were brought to the lounges for the foot massage. They also wipe your feet, legs down with a hot towel to remove any lotion buildup and then dry you afterwards before your massage is over. read more

The spa was nice and clean and the masseuses wore gloves (brownie points for me). They didn't speak much but I didn't mind of course, they were still very friendly. As for the massage itself, it was quite wonderful! As someone who's on her feet all day at work and on vacation, it was very much needed. We had to get into an argument before she handed me the 5 dollars. It wasn't about the 5 dollars it was about the customer service. We were walking up and down the road and I was limping after all the hours of sightseeing and all night Mardi Gras fun... the male saw me and lured me in with a quick and relaxing massage. My husband was a little suspicious and sat across from me with a watchful eye as I got a foot massage. It was not necessarily relaxing but effective. I felt so much better and relieved and my body language got my husband also relaxed as he also got a foot massage too. It's not really reflexology but we didn't ask for that. Just wanted a little relief for cheap and that's what we got. Not sure about full body massages but I'm sure those would be fine as well. The technician had strong hands and seemed skillful. I had a great experience today. I would call myself a professional massage receiver! I've had 100s. All types. I got one at a different place 2 days ago. It was ok. And a bit pricey for a reflexology place ($72/hr). This place was $50/he on special. And worth every penny. It's a little musty due to the recent flood and you can hear the street traffic. But my massager had excellent intuition for pressure and care. My husband was desperate for a back massage but I chose feet and hands only. He finished my massage with a wonderful scalp massage - the perfect ending. Which jumped my 4.5 to a 5! read more

Quick weekend trip for my birthday in New Orleans they were clean courteous and it was the most relaxing massage ever

I can only assume that the people of New Orleans do not know what real reflexology is supposed to be like. This place is a total and complete rip off, I just had the worst massage of my life and for 30 minutes they charged me $48. In Los Angeles the average massage time is 60 minutes and during that time they do your back your scalp and your feet for $30-$35. I encourage you to go online and do the research about what a reflexology session is supposed to cost, before you go and pay money to these guys. These guys should be ashamed of themselves and not only do they not know how to actually give a reflexology massage, they are clearly ripping people off on a daily basis. read more

It's still too pricey in my opinion for the environment that's not too clean especially the bathroom. There weren't any services like putting your feet in a bucket of warm/hot water and cleanse your feet before doing the massage. They did the massage right away without the first step, which was unexpected to me. But they were nice and the massage itself was comfortable. read more

$75 for one hour is pretty steep to stay fully dressed and just be massaged over your clothes in an open room but my therapist was very thorough. We also did the $12 for 20 minute foot massage which the first few minutes were great but then she just kept rubbing the same spot over and over again and was starring out into the distance so I would say OK experience. read more
