They did a good job eventually on our bathroom. Took a long time, numerous mistakes, cutting counter tops wrong and wasting expensive materials. Workers failed to show up when you expect them all the time so have lots and lots of time. We were told they were afraid to come to work. Then mysteriously when the job was done within 2 weeks our home was broken into. First time in 50 years. It appeared from our camera that we were targeted and no other neighbors had any issues. Two years ago, Seven installed stone for us. There was a dead electric box in the wall, and the installer cut a hole for it - above the stove! Seven blamed the contractor and the contractor blamed Seven. Two years later I still have a hole over my stove. No one called to follow up, or suggest a solution. I think the lack of common sense of the installer was ridiculous - who has an outlet over their stove? They were in and out in a rush, clearly the installer was not thinking. How best to start??? Simply put, Seven was sent to us from heaven!!! We had used Seven Stones about, (pardon the pun), seven years ago, back when he was located in Lawndale for the purchase and installation of granite countertops in our three bathrooms and kitchen. With that "kitchen install" also came some travertine tile for our backsplash. The job they did was incomparable, craftsmanship exceptional and prices, (both material and install), were outstanding!!! Given the fact that our prior experience went extraordinarily well, we didn't hesitate to go visit the new showroom when we had a pipe burst under our house. This "pipe rupture" was oh so kind enough to ruin all of our downstairs oak parquet floor, oak cabinetry, etc. Unfortunately for us, this meant that all of their custom work previously performed in the kitchen was all for naught... With the inevitable "home restoration project" having to soon begin, we went to go see Seven at Seven Stones. He gave us excellent prices on a new granite slab, natural stone flooring, (that of which has been already installed), and new tile for our backsplash!!! And... The girls in the office, (Lupe, Candy, etc.) are fabulous!!! They are extremely courteous and will go out of their way to help. All of the field guys / installers, (Jorge, Mario, etc.), are prompt and do excellent work. And Seven himself is.... Like I said, sent from heaven. He is the nicest guy you will ever meet and his sole goal is to satisfy his customers. He will do his best to accommodate his customers and their schedule(s). AVOID THIS PLACE!! They'll switch material and change prices on you. Seven and staff seemed nice at first. Regardless, the issue isn't being nice. I've gone to Seven for two separate projects. We initially went to him for kitchen countertops. I was given a price and quote which I agreed to. Had it in writing. Fast forward 2 months I met with him again for a second project and was told that the price we agreed to for the kitchen had increased from $1600/slab to $2100 and that rather than 2 slabs I now needed 3. I told him he quoted me $1600/slab and not $2100 and he said, sorry, he couldn't do it anymore and that he agreed to that price for a different stone. (what different stone?) I never even looked at a different stone so not sure where the confusion was. Needless to say, I went with another vendor who had the same price I originally agreed to with Seven of $1600. I didn't meet with him again until my contractor asked me to go to him for a remnant for a small bathroom countertop. (separate project) I picked out a remnant, we tagged it, and checked two more times to make sure it was still there. Countertop took 2 month to make. Bunch of excuses and delays, but figured he was backed up. Frustrating but not a huge issue. We were told it would be ready one day, then an excuse. A week later, same thing...lots of different excuses. Then the day it was to be installed I happened to be home and asked to see it. Wrong color, wrong stone, wrong everything. (we chose a white marble and I had some weird yellow cream fabricated countertop at my house. I told them it wasn't the right one and called Seven who insisted it was. I sent him pics of the correct stone and the incorrect one and he insisted it was the same one. Not even close. My husband and I went back to the slab yard to try to find the correct one which we could not find and then settled on a plain white one just to get it done. He agreed to make it. Fast forward a week, he refused to make another countertop and insists we have the right one and that someone needs to pay for it which isn't happening. We've tried to reach him and he refuses to take our calls only relayed via our contractor that it's the right stone. Fast forward to today, months later, we are suing our contractor, and Seven decides to write a false declaration that we owe him money and that he told me directly of the cost of the incorrect counter. I was never given a cost nor is it still the correct stone. Between the price changes, the delays, the wrong stone, the lack of any accountability, and the lying, I can't recommend them. This was two separate instances...luckily I was able to walk away from the kitchen. Too much drama for stone. Save yourself the headache. read more

We had a horrible experience here and would strongly recommend you not risk it. Lemme preface this by saying the front office people are very nice and helpful. But my overall experience was so horrible that it overshadows any kindness they displayed in the beginning. 1. Four separate times they told my wife and I that they'd call us back with an answer and didn't. One time, after a few fails, she even promised me she'd call me right back and then didn't. 2. Our piece was a week late being completed and they were unapologetic about it. 2. They said our piece was ready and when we arrived to pick it up, it was completely wrong and jacked up. They claimed that we told them that's how we wanted it (lopsided and hanging off the side. It looked nothing like the diagram they drew that we signed off on. 3. They agreed to redo it and deliver it to our house for us (which was very nice). But then I called in and spoke to the owner who said they don't deliver. He also said that we are lucky that he's not charging us to redo it. He claimed he had our signatures on something that said we wanted it that way. We asked him several times to produce such proof and he couldn't. In the end, he argued and yelled at us. Customer service is obviously not important to this company. It's a shame because they are a local, family-owned business which we like to support. But I would never go there again after how he treated my wife and I. I'm sure there are other great stone yards that would deserve our business. read more

My wife and I were remodeling and needed new tile for a kitchen backsplash, 2 bathroom floors, two showers, and a fireplace hearth and surround. We were able to find beautiful tile for all of it at a great price at Seven Stone. They have a huge variety of materials at every budget level in their showroom. Their sales people are knowledgable and able to answer any questions -- ask for Lupe or Candi. They even helped us find stuff that wasn't on display, which we saw at other showrooms, or which were coordinating items for tile we had already chosen, such as matching bullnose trim. Delivery was on time, too. Also, for the fireplace, we asked them to manufacture the granite hearth from a slab we purchased from their stone yard. We provided the exact measurements and a precise drawing of what we wanted. The owner -- his name is Seven -- made the excellent suggestion of how to finish the edges so the hearth was polished on all sides and about 2 inches tall. (Essentially, he finished it like a kitchen counter.) The resulting hearth fit perfectly and looks beautiful. Heads up: they often get extremely busy, so you may have to wait for help. They have a very small staff, and call backs can take a little while. Our recommendation is to go see them in person for any follow-up or questions. When it's your turn for assistance, their staff gives you their undivided attention. You have to be a little patient sometimes, but it's well worth the wait. They really want to help you with your remodeling needs and treat you like family. It's a little "old school" in that way, but for remodeling your home, you really want to put in the time to make sure it's right. Conveniently located for South Bay residents, this store is a gem! After we verbally agreed on a quote and took a look and slabs to select our style we had to put this project on standby due to a motorcycle accident that let me forced to focus on my recovery before the apartment remodeling. I have to tell you that Crystal was essential in helping us to get restarted and finalize the work. She patiently communicated with us via text messages, giving us the time we needed with no pressure, and I will admit that without her regular follow up, we would probably still didn't restart remodeling yet. Few months went by from our initial visit and the time to seal our deal and schedule the days to get the job done, once again due to us, and they maintained their initial quote, which was cheaper or comparable to others but now seeing the final result, we are very happy and confident that even at comparable price the value is actually better with Seven Stones. After taking measurements and cutting slabs it took them half a day for demolition and the next half day for installation, Mr. Seven himself came to our place to inspect the demolition work and guide his guys through the installation making sure it met the quality he wants. We really appreciated that and can't stop contemplating this new countertop, everything looks great, they even made the veins of the backslash match the ones from the countertop to keep a continuous design. The all-time worst experience ever. The guy is a crook with an attitude, does substandard work and points the finger at everybody else instead of excepting the responsibility and keeping his word. I have worked with a number of fabricators over the years and decided to enlist a local fabricator to help in expediting projects since my other subcontractor was In Anaheim and always pushed my projects back. I provided material with instructions of what was required and what was expected, A 50% deposit which seems to be typical these days and my first experience with his ability was improper measurements and fabricating the wrong material for a secondary area. During the course of waiting for the installation, he lost the sink and accused my crew of lying and being dishonest when his shop had The unit in their position all along. His lack of communicating with his people and not knowing his head from his tail was evident quickly. He insisted it wasn't his fault had a bullish attitude and his conduct was far from professional. Fast forward to negotiating resolving the mistake and using the wrong material in the other area, he agreed to redo the piece that was cut improperly and fabricate the correct piece for the other area. Claimed he would be back in less than a week to install, yet weeks went by with very little communication and false scheduled days were he did not show or offer a phone call to inform there would be further delay. Finally showing up, he failing to bring additional pieces that were added which he claimed he knew nothing about, yet had the material in his possession. He claimed his guys must've picked up extra material that didn't belong to them? Wouldn't that warrant checking up on and verifying the order instead of just throwing a piece in a pile without knowing it's significance or purpose? During the course of the second installation, the counter that was done correctly in the beginning was stained which he recognized yet walked away without doing anything about it and immediately started asking for payment. To add insult to injury, the material that was changed out, the material that was fabricated incorrectly and the remnants that all belong, and were paid for by me, he refuses to handover. Have no idea when or if he is planning to come back, will not respond to me and now have no other choice but to go after him through legal channels. The worst part is my clients project is not complete, cannot offer them a date or clear reasoning of his behavior or intentions at this point and they have already suffered extensive delays on account of him. Seriously, what a guy! Save yourself the serious hassle and possibility of a horrible experience, which my clients are suffering through and seek out a true reputable company by being more thorough with checking referrals and asking to see work recently completed. NEVER USE SEVEN STONES! I hired them to fabricate my countertops and tile my backsplash. They ruined my kitchen renovation with the terrible tile job they did. Tiles were used that were cracked and chipped. They were not laid flat against the wall. The size of the grout space is all over the place from 1/16" to 1/2". They cut notches into tile and didn't bother to change them. They even cut the 1"x3" tiles in half right in the middle of the wall instead of the end where they meet the cabinet. Just look at the pictures, it says it all. To top it off when I notified the owner of the business, Mr Seven, I wasn't happy, he came over and tried to convince me that it was done right. TOTAL BS! He didn't know I have a plumbing/electrical background and worked as a handyman for years and have even tiled before. He wouldn't acknowledge that it was a sloppy, rushed job. They changed out the cracked tiles but refused to fix the rest. Now my new kitchen looks like crap. Do yourself a favor and don't uses these guys. read more
