The place was packed with an electric atmosphere - we caught the World Baseball Classic, college football, Flyers hockey, and golf all at once. Talk about a sports lover's paradise! The absolute highlight? Irish dancers performing in the restaurant! What a fantastic surprise from the management team - truly made the experience special and memorable. The service was top-notch from start to finish. We started with two very attentive bartenders, and by 4:30 PM they had ramped up to at least four bartenders working the bar. These folks were pouring drafts and mixing cocktails with serious speed and flair - think Tom Cruise in "Cocktail"! Even with the crowd, they took great care of us. And the food? The cornbread is off the hook and the gumbo was so flavorful with a really nice kick. Entrees were the pistachio crusted chicken for my husband. Crispy on the outside, juicy inside with crabmeat on top, served with garlicky mashed potatoes and some veggies. I had the shrimp and grits which is a go to item for me and they out did themselves. Shrimp was perfectly cooked and the grits were delicious with Tasso ham; just the right bite with some spice. Service was pleasant if a little slow but the food and music more than made up for it. Their spatial awareness isn't always the best. Also a lot of kids during the school year. Be prepared for erratic activity and sounds. It can really break your concentration sometimes. Overall, though, it is a pretty good place to bowl.
