Because this perfectly hit the spot at the German Heritage Festival…read more --- --- --- At the German Heritage Festival, there were approximately 4,000 food options, and I was very indecisive about which one to choose. But I had a plan. I went on Yelp and searched for German food trucks in all of Houston. The Sauer Kraut Food Truck popped up as, by far, having the best ratings/reviews. I then went to their Facebook page, and as I expected, their most recent post was that they were at the Tomball German Heritage Festival. I assumed that any German food trucks in Houston would be and was glad I turned out to be right. Earlier in the day, I walked past the truck and was definitely intrigued when I saw it say something on the side like, "German food with a Texas twist". But I had no idea that they had such good reviews when I initially saw that. We ended up ordering a jager schnitzel sandwich and a currywurst. Both were about as great as one could have hoped for. And while we did not love our overall experience at this festival, The Sauer Kraut Food Truck was the highlight for us. We will definitely stop here again if we see them out and about in the future.

The kitchen conditions did not appear to be properly maintained or fully operational. Although a refund was initially agreed upon due to these issues, the refund was never sent. Communication and professionalism throughout the process were extremely poor. Based on our experience, we would strongly encourage others to thoroughly inspect the facility and confirm all equipment is fully functional before doing business here.

One of the outstanding things about Midwest Coney Connection is the service. The employees are super friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. I mentioned that I was a Michigoose transplant and had a lovely conversation about the coney dogs and reminisced about the differences between michigan and texas.
