When I first arrived I was greeted by what I assume is the owner. She was professional and prompt. Asked what I needed, got me into my suit and measured in a matter of minutes which I appreciated. I needed to have my suit pants and jacket sleeves hemmed. I dropped off on a Monday and needed the following Thursday (so about 10 days). I felt this was an ample amount of time but again, my first experience so I wasn't sure. The lady seemed to give the impression this was a quick turn but told me she could do it. The cost was $70 which I honesty don't know is good or bad. It didn't really matter to me, what was important was getting it done. I showed up Thursday only to learn my suit wasn't complete. This was a huge disappointment. Thankfully I planned ahead and told her Thursday knowing I wouldn't need it until Friday evening. She promised me it would be done Friday morning and when I returned the next day it was done. It looks great. My advice would be to always give yourself a day or two extra and just live with the expectation they will not get it done in time. Don't set yourself up for disaster.

When I tried to zip up the dress when it wasn't even on my body I noticed it would get stuck in the middle where there was a seam at the waist of the dress. Well I've dealt with that before so I just decided to deal with it. Well, two days later when I zipped it up for the wedding, the zipper completely split and was irreparable for the wedding. I was the MOH and NEEDED this dress so literally had to be sown into the dress. There was still space in the dress so it's not like I just didn't have room and was forcing the zipper. When I confronted the seamstress she told me it was my fault and there was nothing she could do. This dress was very expensive and I am upset that it is now unwearable ever again.

Fay's is a really nice place but there is a language barrier. I am sure she is good for regular clothes. The alterations that were made were not what I wanted and was also told she couldn't take in the sides due to the beading. Well, TK Bridal can do it all! After I posted this review, the owner sent me a message asking me to delete the post and she would give a full refund now if i would remove it.. She originally gave me a 25% discount (to which she advertises for first time customers) BEWARE this is not true. She says it goes towards your next alteration. But because i was upset she went ahead and applied the discount. I WAS PISSED ABOUT THE DRESS NOT HAPPY. She even argued with me and I had to remind her that I'm the customer. As a fourth generation seamstress, she's a true master of her craft with the most lovely personality. From the moment you walk into her home (which has 4+ rooms dedicated to wedding dresses!), you feel like part of her family. She has a level of attention to detail that only comes from years and years of experience. She'll ask you what earrings your wearing, what type of floor / ground you're walking on, how much you plan to dance, how you want to wear your hair, among other things so that she can ensure that your dress will not only look perfect, but will allow you to enjoy the type of wedding day you want. She does 200+ dresses per year and does everything herself - she's seen so many dresses and brides that there is truly nothing she can't do or that she hasn't seen. Wedding dresses are not an easy sewing job, and there are very few people who have the experience and understanding of dress construction that Angela does. My particular dress was not easy - I'm under 5 feet tall, had a sample size dress that needed a lining, and ended up losing more weight than expected.
