Zero stars!! I dropped off a bridesmaid dress for a very simple alteration and i came back to find it has a large stain on the front. When confronted they denied it and said it wasnt their responsibility and that I should have noticed it. I asked for a partial refund or for them to pay for the cleaning to fix it and they rudley interruped and hung up the phone. I paid $87 for the service, MORE THAN HALF what the dress cost and it is ruined with less than 3 weeks to get a new one or get this one fixed. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Have tried to give this place several opportunities due to proximity to my home and I've been disappointed to varying degrees with the quality of the work. They can do basic work (straight lines, curtains) but she always messes up more complicated tasks. Do not go here. This last time, her husband was extremely rude when they misunderstood the assignment - size down a kid's jersey and change the number on it (we provided the numbers) on all four sides (it's reversible). They only changed the back of the jersey, left the front a different number! Who with common sense leaves a jersey for a child to have two different names and numbers? I tried to explain that it made no sense, to which they shooed me away and said I was not welcome back after I said it was a ripoff to charge me $105. I told him to enjoy the money and I wouldn't be coming back, but idk if he heard me as he was yelling in incoherent English by this time waving me away. read more

I could not be happier with my dress. It very dramatic with the lace and she did a superb job at fitting it to me. It only took 3 weeks and by the looks of it, it doesn't look like anything was rushed. We couldn't even tell where she cut anything because everything is so seamless. It's perfect! Dropped of 3 pants and 2 pairs of jeans for alterations, shorten/hem. I needed 2 pairs of pants quickly but could wait on others. Instead, they offered to get all pants done by 930am the next day. Price was fair at $12 per pants, and an additional $3 for cuffs. Pants were ready the next day as promised, and pants were hemmed to specification. I should mention, I brought a pair of pants to give a reference point for the inseam. They were astute enough to verify whether the dress slack inseam could be applied to alteration for the jeans. They didn't just assume, they requested I wear the jeans so they could confirm the length. Sure enough, inseam length on my jeans was different.....good eye for detail. read more

I took a dress here for alterations and the customer service was great the manager and the lady not only we're super nice and patient with us, but very detailed oriented and let our time limits . We were pretty gracious with only having two weeks so idk if they do things in a flash but I think it's rude to expect that so I never would recommend that, but besides the dress my son has been coming here to get simple hems done to his jeans and they never fail to come through for us. I'm not sure about the other reviews? But we've never had a bad experience here ever. I wish the location got them more exposure read more

I would not recommend using them. There was a miscommunication with my wife on how many pairs of pants needed to be picked up even though it was stated on the receipt. Due to my work hours I was unable to pick them up the day projected to pick up. My wife was missing one pair. The gentleman working stated it was not his problem that she didn't catch the missing pair when she picked them up before she left. I know some people fish for stuff but trying to get an extra pair of blue dress pants isn't on some peoples list. The gentleman was very rude and did not offer to help look for them in his inventory. I've used them before and was content but the service has taken a steep decline. read more

Not very happy. I asked them to put leather patches on the elbows of a Woolrich wool shirt. I even provided the leather patches. Came back uneven and not centered. Cost $30. Never again. read more

This was the worst expereince. Do NOT go there. We had a very simple alteration of a prom dress. It had a drop hem and we only needed the back part of the dress hemmed to be even with the front. Well they took 4 inches off all the way around and made it to short. It is now at an akward length. This was an easy alteration. They literally took a $300.00 dress and ruined it. There only response was sorry!! DO NOT RISK YOUR ITEMS HERE!!! I would give it negative stars but had to put something. read more

I always appreciate honesty from a business. I asked them to sew up a few holes in my pants. They told me straight away that sewing it will still leave a visible mark on it because of the way it teared. I wasn't willing to spend over $10 for this service, so I was fine when they told me that sewing this would be exactly $10 and a 3 day wait. read more

Was a recent "walk in" for a few repairs. I was pleasantly surprised by their professionalism and timeliness, but most importantly - the quality. I brought in a pair of my boyfriend's dress slacks that had ripped. I needed to repair them so that the repair would be discreet. This place is overpriced and does awful work. I dropped off four shirts to have taken in. On one they took it in along the existing seems but the stitches were very sloppy. On the other three they created two new seems down the back for some reason. They looked terrible and to make it worse, they weren't even. I took the work back to them and questioned them about it. They proceeded to yell at me, tell me I should have known that they were adding new seems, and that I was being "ridiculous". I ended up leaving without any resolution. read more

I found myself in a time crunch to get a formal dress altered. The lady at Sew Happy took my dress in in 4 days and saved me a ton of worry. The price was very reasonable, especially for the quick turn around. I didn't give the shop 5 stars because I felt the dress should have been taken in more (at least 3 more inches) but it fits much better than it did originally and, well, it hides my postpartum belly. I work at the local Ace Hardware so I took my vests in for some custom radio pockets and they even worked the logo into the pockets. I needed some suit pants altered and they did a great job. Only positive- They were able to have a 48 hour turn around on my blazer. MAJOR DOWNSIDES- they certainly overcharged me for the minimal work they did (hem cuffs and back). Additionally I specified that I would only be able to pick it up at 9:30AM on the dot as I am working during all other advertised business hours. They assured me they would have it ready, and they did... however when the day came- they failed to open on time leaving me over 30 minutes late to work. Because I was so late I didn't have time to hang out and measure the jacket but I am 99% sure the sleeves are uneven. I overpaid for a service that was poorly done. I will not be returning. read more
