I absolutely love this place! They always have some of the best sales depending on what you are looking for and they always have decorations for whatever season it currently is and the season that follows that one. I do miss having the coupon cut out where you get a discount. I also dislike how long the lines always are and them only having two registers open. It seems like I spend more time waiting in line to purchase the items I picked up than actual shopping in the store but it's worth it to stay in those long lines to get the deals I get so no use in me complaining. read more

I truly LOVE this store! Usually all the cashiers are very friendly and helpful. I bought a thermal tumbler and came home to test for lead. ( I have lead testing swabs) it came back positive for lead! I returned it and explained why. I was concerned for other people using that brand! The manager was so rude. When I explained the problem and my concern she gave me an ugly face , never said a word! Just turned and walked away! The cashier looked at me so embarrassed and apologized! I waited a few months before I went back . Lucky for me I have not seen her since. like I said, I truly love this store and most of the people who work there are just wonderful and so yes, I continue to shop there, but I really was shocked at the rudeness I received. read more

I went to this hobby lobby location on 11/10/2025 at the end of the day for Christmas decorations and they had terrible customer service and attitude . One of the cashiers Jessica was very rude when I asked her for a replacement on one of the bags I was going to buy because it was ripped and I was not going to pay for damaged pieces. She got angry at me for asking me nicely and walked away angry. There was another employee who was supporting this behavior right in front of me. When she came back she confronted me saying I was rude to her she was instigating a fight IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. She was yelling complaining with her coworkers I could overhear it that's how loud it was. When I was leaving I also spoke to the assistant manager named Catherine and she only said "I'm going to speak with her,"and apologized to me and this is the only solution she had. They left me waiting while all of this was going on. If she did this to me over A BAG just imagine what she will do with other customers that ask her for something. Even if she had a bad day she had no right to take it out on me I had a terrible experience at this hobby lobby I don't plan on coming back anytime soon. Be careful with the people that work here because they are supporting each other's mistakes and that's not right. I crochet a lot and this store always has a wide selection of yarn. In fact, they often have sales on their yarn as well. I recently bought some yarn for a baby blanket project that I was asked to complete (pictures attached). They have many different colors and I love how easy it is to pick up an extra skein of yarn if I happen to run out. The store is always clean and staff are friendly. The only downside is that they no longer have their 40% off coupon. I have to check their adds and wait until the items I want go on sale. I love Hobby Lobby, and their products. I seriously loathe having to go into the store and avoid it if I can. The company really needs to upgrade their checkout process! on a normal day, you can expect to wait 10 minutes or more in line while there are only 3 people ahead of you, but today (Monday after Thanksgiving) was ridiculous beyond belief! There we're about 150-200 people waiting in line to checkout. I know because I had the time to count the ones I could see lined up down the aisles to mid-store. All registers were open, but their manual key process means it takes 5 minutes or longer to get someone with only a couple items checked out. I know, because I had the opportunity to time them and to count people while I waited over 35 minutes in line to checkout. There was nothing else to do in the better part of an hour. I know the company thinks their archaic process encourages customer interaction, but who wants to chitchat after waiting in line that long? Hobby Lobby, your outdated systems just make you appear greedy and cheap, and continuing to ignore the problem only makes it seem like you don't care at all about customer service. You are sucking the joy out of the holidays with your systems and abusing people's time. PS- the store referenced is in New Braunfels, TX, but it's the same everywhere I've been. The poor employees! I am disgusted with the policies and procedures that this company, and specific store has. I ordered two custom framing pieces for Christmas gifts and was quoted a cost. The sales associate told me that the 50% discount would be taken off the total amount of the job when I picked up the frames. Not only was I charged a figure higher than I was quoted....the 50% off did not apply to the sale. Customer service was able to issue a refund for the different amounts charged (mind you, on a gift card to spend in THEIR store) but they would not honor the discount or take responsibility for the training that happens in their stores. As a business owner myself, I realize that customer service is a CHOICE - just like adhering to a mission statement and moral values are a CHOICE for a company. Hobby Lobby did not choose it for this circumstance and they have lost a customer in the process. I will be shopping locally for similar items in the future. read more

WILL NEVER BE BACK!!! I went to look for a charm for a necklace I was working on for my friends graduation gift. I didn't find what I was looking for, so I perused the clearance section (like we all do) and found a cute little bracelet that I was thinking about getting for myself. After continuing my shopping, I decided I didn't want the bracelet, hung it up in the clearance section and made my way towards the front. As I am walking, an older woman crosses directly in front of me, looks me up and down, and hollers "She doesn't have any jewelry anymore!" Goes to the nearest phone and says "code whatever to the front of the store"... I thought this was very odd behavior, however, I continued to the front and was looking through the Easter items. Same older woman followed me down the first isle and then stood at the end of each subsequent isle watching me. As I began to leave she started following me again. I walked up to her and asked her why she was following me. She said she wasn't, but she wanted to know what I had done with the jewelry that I DID have. I told her I hung it up on the rack and would be glad to take her back there and show her. She then accused me of being nervous and having something the hide. FIRST OFF: I am NOT a thief. SECOND: If you have a question, I'll gladly answer it. She refused to walk to the back so I could show her where I had put the $4.19 POS bracelet and steadily accused me of acting nervous! NOT NERVOUS... YES PEEVED, ANGRY, PISSED! I went to the front and asked to speak to a manager, when he arrived, he played dumb. The way they handled that situation was EXTREMELY RUDE AND INSULTING!!!
