Claudia is great on a personal level, very friendly & fun to talk to. I enjoyed her & our conversations, very fun person. But on a professional level it's a no from me. I had given her maybe 6 items she said would take a week, I come in a week & she's not in the store. I live 40 mins away, very inconvenient for me. I come back the next day & NONE of the items are done. She says come back in another week, I come back & only 2 of my 6 items are done. I come back again and it's still not done, I ask to get my stuff & I just leave. I think the sewing job was poorly done & sloppy on 2 of the items (pink top & the pink/green dress shown in pics). She started a 3rd item but never finished and that dress is RUINED. She just ripped the seams out and tried re-sewing it but the dress is unwearable now & totally destroyed & hideous. I am not satisfied with a single item & had to trash one of my items because it was unsavable, the dress was $200 so I feel saddened throwing away this dress. She didn't charge me for the sew job but sadly I lost money cause I no longer can wear that dress.... now have to buy a whole new one. My sister came here as well & her experience was bad too, no item should take 6 months & it wasn't even finished had to come in & pick it up because it never was done! My sister didn't have the balls to come herself cause she's non confrontational so I came for her. read more

A long time ago (About a week ago) in a galaxy far, far away (Like, 3 minutes off the 5 South), a desperate costume nerd needed his Kylo Ren costume adjusted for the movie premiere. Alas, young and troubled Bidoof Ren had no seamstress skills of his own. Thus, in his time of need, he turned to Obi-Wan-Claunobi. Okay, the Star Wars comparison is starting to run a bit thin. I needed a last-minute costume hemmed and adjusted, and Claudia was incredibly accommodating. The work was quick, very reasonably priced, and turned out great. You see, we're working on this huge project at Hilton Bay Front in San Diego, and a few of our column wrap which was designed with zippers broke or done incorrectly by our vendor. This review is long overdue. My husband has went to her on multiple occassions to sew simple fringes on his shirts and she sewed fringes on a dress for me once. Not only does she charge $20-$25 a shirt (twice as much as we've paid at virtually ever other place we've been). Screw us for wanting to support a local business. The fact of the matter is this is grossly overpriced for something so simple and for her to do such a sloppy job. For someone with so much sewing experience I'm appalled at the quality of her work. I don't know if she was just being lazy or she just didn't care. I honestly think she just didn't want to do it and I wish she would've just said that rather than accepting the work and not doing her best. I walked in and fell in love with this quaint lil shop and it's master seamstress. I was promised my dresses back within 48 hours. One dress in particular had to be practically remade! Without a flinch, she said pick them up on Friday. This was unheard of! Everyone else said at least a week or stated they had too many clients and to wait. No problem.
