The store at the Natural History Museum is one of our favorite museum stores. There's a beautiful selection of rocks and minerals in the front of the store. The huge amethysts and clear crystal stones with wooden bases are simply amazing. There are wonderful photos on the wall and lovely jewelry here too. Lots of pretty books, wooden frames, and lovely vases are in this section as well. To the left of the store is the clothing, kid's toys, and lots of educational games and books. The wall has tons of cute stuffed animals. The lady working there saw me going through the rack and said there were more sale items inside. She also suggested I try them on because some of the sizes might not be accurate. From the times I have shopped there, I have seen magnetic poetry, books, soundtracks, mugs, jewelry, and clothing. I have purchased many original Broadway-cast musical CD's from there. There are books and movies available too of shows that have been shown at the Old Globe theater, including Rocky Horror Picture show (part of the 2011 show lineup). This is a great place to pick up a gift for any fan of the theater, especially Shakespeare. I recently bought a mug from this shop that had King Henry VIII and his "disappearing wives", when you pour hot liquid into the mug, the wives fade away to reveal their names and how their marriages ended with old Henry.
