I had an absolutely lovely experience today at Thread and Seed. I live in the South Park neighborhood, but this was my first time coming into the store. Upon first entry, the store was clean and well lit, staff were very friendly but not overbearing, and clothes were well displayed. I'm in my early thirties and personally, I struggle SO hard with fashion. I never quite know what looks good on my body, I have no clue what the latest fashion trends are, and I generally feel self conscious about sizing and trying on clothes. Without the help of a stylist or exceptionally kind and fashion forward friend I'd probably always be stuck in the skinny jeans and workout attire life. When I browsed the store, there were a few small pieces that caught my eye and didn't see terribly far outside my comfort zone, so I grabbed those for a fitting room and Ashley, one of the team members, approached me and offered to start me for a room. While I finished my browsing, she guessed a couple of my sizes and added some pieces that she thought I should try. I absolutely LOVE when boutiques do this, as again I struggle so much with fashion and knowing what would look good on me. Ironically she guessed my sizes better than I did, which also helped immensely with the experience. I loved some of the picks that she made, and she also helped get me out of my comfort zone into trying a wide leg pant that didn't make me feel like a box and like I was losing my figure/shape. She checked on me frequently, brought additional sizes as needed, and helped me better understand what clothes flattered my figure and were "in" right now. I left feeling so much more confident about what I had picked up and like I wasn't living a decade behind in my wardrobe. Although the prices of the boutique are a bit higher than you might pay at a chain or big box retailer, the service truly is exceptional and the quality for the clothing seems to be higher. Ashely mentioned their recently opened La Jolla location also offers personal styling services, which definitely is up my alley. I will absolutely return to Thread and Seed and am so grateful for my experience today! read more

They have a great selection of perfectly curated clothing as well as a variety of items that are perfect for gifting. SHOP SMALL BUSINESSES, SHOP LOCAL This place has a lot of cute little things. Including face masks. Something about theirs was calling my face for $17. I know, I know, every store sells face masks these days. But not all face masks fit. Most face masks are one size fit all. More like one size fits all normal adult faces. I don't have a normal adult face - I'm an in between of an adult and teenager; small face. I stumbled upon their face masks and from looks and feel (duh, no trying on) I thought to myself this could actually fit me. I bought one, loved it, bought a "spare" incase I lose one, but gave it to one of my girlfriends also with small face/head, she loved it. And then I ended up buying ALL the colors. I'm not going to ever find a face mask that is of super quality and fits my damn small face. read more

This review is for the clothing as the associates are actually lovely and very helpful. I bought a couple of sweaters here last month in prep for the winter months. At $80+ each, I was shocked by how poor the quality was. One sweater cardigan got many pills (sweater boogers) after one wear. I was also surprised by the lack of 100% cotton or wool options. Big fan of the South Park Thread + Seed location. I love stopping in here for random small purchases of accessories and or candles. I'm also a big fan of shopping on their instagram page, and then picking up the items at the store- I know this was offered over the holidays. Although their sizing is limited to L, a number of their items run bigger (as is the trend right now in clothing) therefore I can fit into some L sweaters, dresses. I love this hidden gem! They carry high quality brands for good prices and all the latest trends. I hate shopping for jeans but when I need them, I come here because I always find a pair or two! I love all the unique clothing and gift items. I also enjoy shopping at a quiet boutique where I can always get quick, friendly assistance. This is my favorite boutique in San Diego. They have the cutest stuff and everything is very unique. I love buying clothes that no one else has. Every time I wear a clothing item from there, people ask me where it's from. They also have a great gift giving section. If you need to get someone a gift, you will find it there and even a hilarious greeting card. They have an online store too! You can order online and get it delivered or pick it up in store. super cute tiny little store. im not from the area so there was really no parking. the make your own box is a great gift idea but it seemed to be limited to moms and brides. thats great but some of us arent moms & brides. i wasnt offered help which was ok. there was some chicks husband who was getting in the way. ladies leave your boyfriends/husbands at home please! maybe ill come back & check it put again read more
