The mold remediation company that I was referred to, went ahead and started tearing out drywall before any contract was signed. They also would not answer most of my questions and only sent a single photo of what they found and that was only after I asked them to send me photos a second time. I called Bio 911 and spoke to Kirill, the owner of the company. He told me that he doesn't like to take on jobs that are already being worked on by another company, but he told me that he would be happy to come out to inspect and evaluate my problem. He was incredibly thorough. He checked the drywall where visible mold had been seen, checked a nearby restroom even though no mold had been seen in there, the outside wall of the building adjacent to the affected drywall, and even the walls of an adjacent apartment. He detected moisture inside of the outside wall of the building, which was something that the other company had missed, and he outlined the steps needed to correct the moisture problem and mold issue. Kirill did all this work simply because he likes to help people. He did not charge me a penny. How often can you find someone that does things just to help people? It is super rare and I am giving Bio 911 my highest recommendation as a result.

It gave me piece of mind that things were done professionally, safely, and properly for both myself and their team's health. It was a crew of nine. They helped remove a bunch of overgrown ivy and weeds throughout my property and hauled away a bunch of junk (some of which had been sitting around for over 20 years). Upon looking under the old hardwood, our hardwood installer showed us two layers of glued vinyl and requested we have it tested for asbestos - which we did and found asbestos. We separately tested the cottage cheese we found under one beam, which also had asbestos (old cottage cheese ceiling underneath) We contacted MES and one other company. The other company had some communication issues (phone) and did not follow-up , so we never got a price. MSE was fast to respond and price seemed in-line with what our hardwood installer thought it may cost. Their work included demoing the hardwood floors and beams and then the asbestos removal. It was a two day process and we stayed in the house during the abatement. The rooms were completely sealed off, a negative pressure was created and they did their work. Once done, the rooms looked completely clean of any work. Their demo work was great. There was no real evidence of left over glue on the subfloor (the old vinyl floors were glues). They removed all hardwood including where it met or edged under the kitchen cabinets so we had very clean lines to but against or slip under the cabinets. And they removed all the asbestos. The rooms were left clean and no sign of any dust or debris. Very highly recommend. Also, very quick responses to any questions during the bid and work process.

I texted over pictures of my mess and also let him know that there was a steel bathtub underneath all of the junk and he still gave me the best quote and the fastest estimate of completion (the next day). The next day I received a text from Sergio saying that they would be at my place at 3:00. At 3:00 I received a text from Ben saying they were running about 10 minutes late.
