I hate to sound like a stuck record, but Chuck is great. He and SFHM are just as good as all the other reviewers have indicated. Case-in-point, I moved from out-of-state to California and had no idea where I wanted to live or how to negotiate the sky-high rental market of San Francisco. Chuck came to the rescue for both Poonam (the lessor) and I. In terms of the application process: He made it safe, secure and thorough, but not too onerous. This is especially commendable given my out-of-state status. I'm not too sure if there are many property managers, nor home owners, that would have taken the risk. It is always so much easier to take the path of least resistance and rent to someone already in-state. Thank goodness for Chuck and his patience and professionalism. That said, I think I can speak for both sides of the lessor/lessee relationship by saying Chuck provided an excellent match for both parties. We both had very specific requirements and he handled every one of them with aplomb. In terms of property management: Chuck was also very quick to respond to questions and concerns, for even the simplest of tasks. Nothing was too small or too big: such as assisting me on how to use the myriad of remotes for the TV system to solving small problems with the furnace etc. It was all handled with extraordinary efficiency. SFHM really maintains the best interests of both parties, balancing ease and speed of repair or replacement versus the cost to achieve the best results at the best/fair price. It is not often that can be said about a property manager. Somehow, Chuck and SFHM seem to have found this balance, and in doing so, they create a win-win for both the lessor and lessee. Great work Chuck! As much as I hated to leave Poonam's beautiful condo it was inevitable. Unfortunately, I had looked for several months for the right space and was rather discouraged by the process (I am very picky when it comes to my living space). What I found was a series of either sky-high rents for far-less-than-average spaces or dark and dingy units that were uninhabitable. The accommodations in San Francisco certainly run the gamut. To state the obvious, it is very difficult to get what you pay for in San Francisco - at any segment of the rental market ($$$- $$$$). Fortunately for me, it was Chuck to the rescue again! Due to Chuck's business and work ethic he has gained the confidence of many property owners in the Bay Area. When it came to my predicament, Chuck knew the problem and found a solution: finding and negotiating my current rental. Thank you Chuck! It is a very large and beautiful Victorian off-market property. Yes, he is a bit of a miracle worker. Certainly, I have never had a better, nor more professional, relationship with a property manager; Chuck is really at the top. Hands down, Chuck is the best property manager my family has ever had. I initially found Chuck and his company by reading his Yelp reviews and thought at the time that he must be a likeable and personable person to get such high ratings. True, he is likeable, but all of the superb ratings really reflect his outstanding all-around professionalism and strong work ethic in property management. I found him to be super efficient in all things pertaining to property management matters: He is quick to respond to questions amd concerns within minutes/few hours/same day. Chuck can quickly discern what needs to be done to bring the property up to a level that would bring in good tenants. He is honest and he will advise on repairs that need to be made, even if the property owner has to fork out more money -- but in the long run, it is good advice because both owner and tenant mutally benefit. Within a week of our property being available, Chuck's thorough advertising brought in 4 prospective tenants with 2 parties that were pretty solid/outstanding. Needless to say, we are elated with the tenants Chuck brought in. He appraised our property's rental value well and was very methodical in getting the tenants screened and our leases signed. He takes care of the little details and big details for the property owner so the property owner doesnt have to worry. I've seen Chuck deal issue after issue, and each issue/concern was dealt with quickly and efficiently, so our property is in solid hands under his management.
