Here for the dB's!! Great dinner at Curio (Cobb Salad with fried chicken strips - excellent!). If you let them know you're here for a show, they get you setup with your show wristband while you're eating, so it's easy to just head in to show when the doors open. As usual, great drink options, up close to the band, and an all around great time!

Really fun venue! Love the different sections at the same event that allow for different vibes to cater to different people. Great bar that is also beautiful. Bartenders are friendly and the drinks are strong. Such a fun place to dance and listen to great music. Excited to be back!

Stumbled across this venue while looking for something to do on a random Tuesday night. Never heard of the Chapel or the band Elysian Fields... and now they are both 2 of my favorite things. This venue is BEAUTIFUL and will be one of my favorite spots to catch live music in the city. Definitely a MUST for anyone looking for an amazing experience. Also the band we saw Elysian Fields put us into a hypnotic, lusty, magical trance and loved every second of it

A mid-sized performance venue that the SF Mission can be proud of as it hosts an impressive array of bands, diverse musical genres and crowned with a splendid lil' marquee sign bright enough to sway attention. located between 18th & 19th Street and on Valencia, just around the way from the 16th Bart Station and about a half mile walk from the 24th St Bart hub as there are tons of taquerias nearby + plenty of other types of food joints to grab a meal. finding a parking spot close by can be hit or miss so public transit's recommended. the last 3 shows i've seen here was an incredible mix and highlighted by the soulful R&B trio Thee Marloes from Indonesia, SoCal's dynamic synth/goth/electro-rockers Cold Cave and one of my all time favorite live performances in La Lom (Los Angeles League of Musicians). there's never been any sound issues that i've picked up and the sight lines from most every angle in the place allows good discernment of the elevated stage. SF's own Flamin' Groovies were here just a few years back and even that show was great with their loyal fans coming out in droves. whoever's booking the artists for them deserves a raise.

Came for a Fly by Midnight concert! Super intimate venue with mezzanine viewing as well. Drinks were great and you can purchase inside venue or outside at the bar next door. They do a bag check and age check too. Everyone was kind and easy to chat with. Chill vibes overall! Would love to be back again for another concert.

The Chapel is one of those intimate music venues you have check out at least once. From the high 40-foot arched ceilings to the awesome acoustics and lighting, it truly made the show so worth driving up an hour for from South Bay. Of course, the artist we went to see (Cian Ducrot on 9/27/23) was phenomenal, and this place definitely elevated his performance even more! It's kind of fun and spooky to know that The Chapel was originally a mortuary in 1914, and has rumors of being haunted! Thank goodness we were there with hundreds of other people, but it still felt a little creepy knowing that spirits were potentially hanging out amongst us listening to Cian's incredible voice too... Just Google it and you'll find a lot of articles about ghost stories and strange occurrences at night. Big shout out to the 2 guys checking bags & IDs while we waited in line out front. They were about the nicest people we've ever encountered at a music venue. The girl who scanned our tickets on my phone was also super nice! Hopefully another artist or band we want to see will play here soon, because we definitely wanna come back!

The Chapel is a fantastic venue nestled in the Mission district located at Valencia between 18th and 19th. We came to watch Brume and enjoyed catching a bite at Curio ahead of the show, which is attached to the bar and the stage. The show was set for all ages. We were stoked to bring our son to catch a local band, which is such a great spot. Checking in was a little clunky since we came through from the restaurant, but everyone was quick to get us checked in and on our way into the venue towards the stage. The sound was great, and we made our way to the front and settled in for a great show.

My Girl friend, best friend and I visited the Chapel on Valentine's Day for a concert. We decided at the door to upgrade to seats as opposed to standing and they charged us double for seats that didn't exist because they were sold out. We didn't make a big deal about it as we did end up finding a place to sit upstairs that would have otherwise been free if we hadn't upgraded. Instead we paid double. At the entrance as the employee at the door is putting the wristbands on. He puts a wristband on me and leaves both my GF and friend standing there with their wrist extended as he turns away to speak to an underage friend of his who he was trying to get in the club with out ID. My GF, tired of waiting asks him if we can have our wristbands and he then lets out a grunt of discontent for being interrupted and slaps the wristbands on my guests. Determined to have a good time regardless of the treatment, we continue and try to enjoy our evening. My GF and I have recently met and started dating and it being V Day and all, we were affectionate with one another and engaged in several kisses. At some point we got up and went to the restroom to use the facilities. As we were coming out a man grabs my GF by the wrist and writes a huge black X on her forearm totally against her will. We were both in shock and asked him what his problem was as she was trying to jerk her arm away. We then realized it was the same guy from the door with the wrist bands. He said we were offending people and that we were being cut off from drinking. I can understand the X if we had truly been being disruptive, but the correct way is to give the patron the choice to willingly sport the X or leave. Not grab someone and force it on them. We had only a couple of glasses of wine and the bartender was friendly and had no issue with us. This person proceeded to call others security guards as back up like we were some kind of menace. Not that we wanted to stay after this, of course we wanted to leave and never return but he deemed adequate to have us led out by security. It is needless to say we will never ever return to this establishment and will warn as many people possible especially the gay community about our horrendous experience.

We rang in the new year here on Tuesday night, and had a wonderful time. The New Year's Eve event included a Frank & Dean Show, Open Jam, and access to more music in each of the individual rooms, along with the opportunity to explore the music studios and alluring decor throughout the venue. The Frank & Dean Show was cool, with the vocalists performing tunes like Fly Me To The Moon and That's Amore, but I don't think it lived up to the capabilities of this venue, musically. It was like watching karaoke on the big stage (they already had a karaoke room downstairs, which could do the same), but it was fine, they had us smiling and vibing to the great crooner musical acts during our first hour there. The music city underground offerings had actual live music more to our liking, the various bands in each room performing a range of tunes including folk, rock, blues, and reggae. The Open Jam was even funner, creating awesome music with sounds of the saxophone, bass, keyboard, vocals, and more. I especially enjoyed getting to watch and hear my bf play the guitar, drums, and melodica (musicians can bring their own instruments, or use the house instruments). The environment was simply welcoming and laid back, with lots of talented artists simply having a good time. The service and food/drink offerings were not the best and are the biggest reason I'm not giving 5 stars. They seemed a bit disorganized in the beginning, and guests who had tickets were confused about how to find their reserved seats (not just my party, but other attendees too) and it took a while for anyone to help us. The 7:00pm show didn't start till 7:20pm, and the second show started late as well. For dinner, we had the chicken caesar wrap and fish n chips, and though they were both delicious and good sized portions, they weren't our first choices. They were out of the steak frite and salads, and possibly more. How could you be out of multiple menu items on a special event day, before the event even starts?!? They already have a limited menu to begin with, so this was definitely a turnoff. Nonetheless, can't deny, Music City SF is still a pretty amazing music venue with a lot of potential. And we certainly had a memorable experience.

My boyfriend and I came here to see TK from Ling Tosite Sigure (real anime heads know - Tokyo Ghoul, Psycho Pass, etc. or if you're a fan of math rock). We got the GA tickets and waited in the line for the venue around 40 minutes before the show. We were still in the first 100 or so people in, we were in the line when it curved the corner near the other shopping plaza near the bus stop, so it wasn't too fisted when we went. This was absolutely not the case for the LA show, so the vibes in NorCal versus SoCal are completely different. Staff was welcoming (as best they could) and efficient in checking us in and security was friendly in what they had to do. Much better than some of the other venues I've been to. You have to go upstairs to get to the live house concert stage area. It looks very high end with the lighting, curtains, balcony area, and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. It's not as grandiose as say the Mayan (RIP), but nice nonetheless. We were probably 3-4 layers of people from the front, but was able to see all of the band members quite well and I was accidentally in the band's Instagram post (with my very funny and cooked back posture). Sound quality was great and really highlighted not only TK's vocals, but the technicality and skill he has on guitar (dude had to swap guitars between each song), as well as all of the support members (their support drummer from Crossfaith has such good stage presence). Nothing sounded too drowned out or overpowering. Good acoustics. The merch table was at the side and I didn't pay too much mind to where the bar was. When walking up stairs I was wondering where to go and loudly asked that question and a kind staff working the coat check in the opposite direction pointed to where to go. I think my only qualm though is the stairs that everyone has to take up, and more importantly down since it gets super crowded. However, they do have an accessible elevator for those who may require it or are ADA. What I love about this venue is the apples they give attendees. Great post concert snack. Sweet and crispy apple. I really love that they do this. And apparently this was the only tour stop that had a free poster with the artist playing too. Love that extra goodie for concert goers since I didn't purchase any merchandise. If there's a band or musician that I know is going to go to the Fillmore, I'm going to try to make the show since I really enjoyed it here!

1 Star - Awful Manager and Staff Experience…read more We attended the Alex Isley concert at The Fillmore and brought our 8-year-old daughter. It was her very first concert, and she absolutely loves Alex Isley. The venue was standing room only, but we found a small corner near the front where we weren't blocking anyone's view. Early in the evening, one female staff member seemed to have an issue with us, although every other staff member we encountered was friendly and accommodating. At one point, I asked a staff member if it would be okay to put my daughter on my shoulders so she could see the stage. He told me it was absolutely fine, and several other staff members nearby clearly had no issue with it. Later, the same female employee returned and began harassing my wife about our daughter being on my shoulders or standing on a bench that was not obstructing anyone's view. She made a scene unnecessarily and then escalated the situation to a manager. The manager arrived and was just as rude. Although I complied immediately because I didn't want to create a scene in front of my daughter, we felt singled out and bullied throughout the interaction. Ironically, other concertgoers immediately tried to help by offering our daughter space in front of them so she could see the performance. Even more telling, a member of Alex Isley's security team witnessed what happened, approached us afterward, and kindly arranged for my wife, daughter, and me to meet Alex after the show. That completely made our daughter's night and turned what could have been a very disappointing experience into a special memory. The kindness shown by Alex Isley's team and fellow concertgoers stood in stark contrast to the behavior of The Fillmore's manager and this particular staff member. Because of this experience, I will not return to The Fillmore and cannot recommend the venue to others. 1/5 stars.
