On two visits during the past six weeks, I've noticed that parking is at a premium on the streets here, especially with the construction happening in the surrounding streets with construction vehicles either parked or occupying normal metered public parking spaces for their materials. As I tried to have an early lunch with an aunt, I had to turn on my emergency flashers, pull her walker out of the back seat, and help her to the curb. My next mission was to find a parking space before meeting her in the restaurant. After turning on the Highland Avenue, I noticed the sign and a neon lit board showing the # of available spaces (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=DrFEvc0vqviyIBMaVNmyxA) (strange that the number isn't legible with that green lighting). Turning in and turning right, I spotted a blue handicap space just past a charging station space and pulled in (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=Rl06SPidRqglrl40JOGN-A). In looking at the general parking spaces, I was impressed at how wide the spaces were, giving ample room for error in parking and to get in and out of your vehicle (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=xNBNois7TJzJOkmMYoSv0Q). The best part is that the garage is actually only two buildings over from the back entrance of the restaurant. This made it feasible for my aunt to walk to my car and enter the restaurant's "backdoor". Do note this garage as an option if you are dining at one of the many restaurants in the surrounding streets.

This station is adjacent to a beautiful park (where there are restrooms) and also near an amazing playground if you have littles.

New year. New visit to the Burlingame Public library on primrose Avenue in Burlingame, California…read more Today's treat was one of their swap days. Today's swap day revolved around games and puzzles. Picked up a couple of puzzles from a family members, and the children of my friends. Separate from that. Spent some time in the computer lab. Working on some stuff. They have some decently new Macintosh systems to work on. Not my native OS normally. But I like it. I like the fact that they have both windows and Mac and tosh systems. In the end. I don't care because I'm operating system agnostic, and welcome the experience on just about every operating system you can imagine.. The maker lab at this library is also excellent . Environmentally it's hard to go wrong with a visit to the Burlingame Public library. It's a beautiful building inside and out.

Four days for under fifty bucks, with shuttle ride included, not a bad deal. And this is a luxury…read morebus, very clean with comfortable cushioned seats. But the shuttle was not really accurate with the pickup times, which is important when you're trying to catch a flight or return to your vehicle from SFO after your travels. Shuttle pickup is supposed to be every half hour. But the bus arrived about 5 minutes late at the Burlingame Airport Parking pickup booth on a Wednesday morning. Then it took a few more minutes for the driver to load everyone's luggage in the back, and 5-6 minutes to arrive at the airport, with about an additional minute per stop for different groups of airlines... first stop American, Delta, Jet Blue terminal, next stop United, and so on. Upon my return on Saturday evening, it took almost 30 minutes to get back to the Burlingame Airport Parking lot. Pickup is every half hour at SFO, 2nd level "Hotel Shuttles" area. Once you get on the bus, there are several stops at the airport as well as the Hilton Hotel before you'll get back to your vehicle, especially cuz the driver loads and unloads baggage for each passenger at the back of the bus, every stop. All in all, not a bad experience, but I can see why this off airport parking facility was cheaper than the others.

Prices are very reasonable for SFO airport. You have to be aware of shuttle times as they are…read moreevery half hour so you may have to wait. Drivers are always helpful with the luggage. Only negative is the wait time. Other than that, we have never had a problem and park there around 3 - 4 times a year.

I visited Hillsdale Mall for the first time in decades!…read more I wanted to drop by and survey the parking near Palette Tea Garden. I decided it was best to park on the roof and take the escalator down to ground level.....right to the restaurant! While I was there, I walked around to see what the indoor mall was like. It's a nice shopping mall with a variety of shops, restaurants, and services. The North Mall has a huge "Dining Terrace" which includes an outdoor patio with fire pits. I like the hand washing area. I heard stories that the owners of the mall want to tear down the enclosed mall and build a mixed use open air mall. The plan is yet to be approved. I like Hillsdale Mall the way it is.

Title: Absolutely disgusting -- do not come here I can't…read morebelieve how dirty and poorly maintained this mall is. The visitor seating area next to Foot Locker smells like throw-up, and the carpets and seats are stained and grimy, like they haven't been cleaned in months. All of the trash bins outside are constantly overflowing, and you can find trash and debris scattered everywhere, which makes walking around gross and unpleasant. During Christmas, the Santa chair for photos is black, sticky, and completely gucky, making what should be a fun experience with kids feel disgusting. The overall smell, dirt, and lack of maintenance make this mall feel unsafe and unhygienic -- honestly, I would never come back and would warn anyone I know to avoid it.
